³ Who will ascend into the hill of Jehovah? And who will stand in his holy place?

³ Then Moses said to Aaron, This is it that Jehovah spoke, saying, I will be made holy by those who come near me. And I will be glorified before all the people. And Aaron remained silent.

¹² And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that pertains to him, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with joy. ¹³ And it was so, that, when those who bore the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatten sheep.
¹⁴ And David danced before Jehovah with all his might. And David was girded with a linen ephod. ¹⁵ So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
¹⁶ And it was so, as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah and she despised him in her heart.
¹⁷ And they brought in the ark of Jehovah and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it. And David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Jehovah.

¹ And David made for him houses in the city of David. And he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it.

²⁵ So David and the elders of Israel and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the house of Obed-edom with joy. ²⁶ And it happened, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams. ²⁷ And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen and all the Levites who bore the ark and the singers and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers. And David had upon him an ephod of linen.
²⁸ Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting and with sound of the cornet and with trumpets and with cymbals, sounding-aloud with psalteries and harps.

⁶ Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

¹ Jehovah, who will journey in your tabernacle? Who will dwell in your holy hill?

⁴ The man is fortunate whom you choose and cause to approach, that he may dwell in your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

¹⁵ A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; a high mountain is the mountain of Bashan. ¹⁶ Why do you* look-enviously, you* high mountains, at the mountain which God has desired for his abode? Yes, Jehovah will dwell in it forever.

¹⁸ You have ascended on high. You have led captivity captive. You have received gifts among men, yes, among the rebellious also, that Jehovah God might dwell with them.

⁶⁸ but chose the tribe of Judah, the Mount Zion which he loved. ⁶⁹ And he built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth which he has established everlasting.

¹³ Because Jehovah has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation. ¹⁴ This is my resting place forever. I will dwell here, for I have desired it.

¹ Behold, I send my messenger and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord, whom you* seek, will suddenly come to his temple. And the messenger of the covenant, whom you* desire, behold, he comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

³⁶ Simon Peter says to him, Lord, where are you going?
Jesus answered him, I am going where you are not able to follow now, but you will be following me later.

¹⁷ Jesus says to her, Do not be touching me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father, but travel to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father and my God and your God.

⁸ Hence he says, ‘When he ascended onto high, he captured captivity and gave presents to men.’ ⁹ Now this saying, He ascended, (what is it saying?) except that he also came down into the downward parts of the earth first? ¹⁰ He who came down is also the same as he who ascended up above all the heavens, in order that he might fill all things.

²² But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, and to tens of thousands of messengers, ²³ to the festal-gathering and to the congregation of the firstborn ones, who have been registered in the heavens and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous who have been completed, ²⁴ and to Jesus the intermediary of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better than that of Abel.

²⁸ Hence, receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have gratitude, through which we give-divine service in ways well pleasing to God, with reverence and piety;
