¹ Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man,

¹³ Arise, O Jehovah, confront him. Cast him down. Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword,

⁴⁸ He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.

¹ Judge me, O God and plead my cause against a profane nation. O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

¹ Deliver me from my enemies, O my God. Set me on high from those who rise up against me. ² Deliver me from the workers of wickedness and save me from the bloodthirsty men. ³ Because behold, they lie in wait for my soul.
The mighty gather themselves together against me, not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.

⁴ Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of a wicked man, out of the hand of an unrighteous and cruel man.

⁴ Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of a wicked man. Preserve me from violent men, who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.

¹¹ An evil speaker will not be established in the earth. Evil will hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

² O Jehovah, how long shall I cry and you will not hear? I cry out to you of violence and you will not save. ³ Why do you show me wickedness and look upon perverseness? For destruction and violence are before me and there is strife and contention rises up.
