¹⁰ The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. A righteous man runs into it and is safe.

¹¹ I beseech you, deliver me from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau. For I fear him, lest he comes and slays me, the mother with the sons.

²⁹ And Jacob asked him and said, I beseech you, tell me your name.
And he said, Why is it that you ask for my name? And he blessed him there.

¹³ And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the sons of Israel and will say to them, The God of your* fathers has sent me to you* and they will say to me, What is his name? What shall I say to them? ¹⁴ And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And he said, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you*.
¹⁵ And God said moreover to Moses, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your* fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you*. This is my name everlasting and this is my memorial to all generations.

³ And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but I was not known by them by my name Jehovah.

⁵ And Jehovah descended in the cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed the name of Jehovah.
⁶ And Jehovah passed by before him and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth, ⁷ keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons and upon the sons' sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.

⁶ And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters. But David strengthened himself in Jehovah his God.

³ God, my rock, in him I will take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower and my refuge, my savior. You save me from violence.

⁴⁵ The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me. ⁴⁶ The foreigners will fade away and will come trembling out of their borders. ⁴⁷ Jehovah lives. And my rock is blessed. And God is exalted, the rock of my salvation,

⁵¹ He gives great deliverance to his king and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed, until everlasting.

² Jehovah is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

¹ Jehovah is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?

³ I am afraid in the day, I will put my trust in you. ⁴ I will praise his word in God. I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

³ Because you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy. ⁴ I will dwell in your tabernacle everlasting. I will take refuge in the covert of your wings. Selah.

² I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.

¹⁴ Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high because he has known my name.

² my loving kindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.

⁶ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given. And the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.

⁴ Trust in Jehovah forever, for in Jehovah, even Jehovah, is an everlasting rock.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, also with him who is of a crushed and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the crushed.

⁶ In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely. And this is his name by which he will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

¹⁹ Jehovah, the Lord, is my strength. And he makes my feet like female-deers' feet and will make me to walk upon my high places

²³ ‘Behold, the virgin will be pregnant, and will be bearing a son, and they will call his name Immanuel'; which is, after being translated, ‘God with us.’

⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
