¹ The vision of Obadiah. The lord Jehovah says thus concerning Edom: We have heard news from Jehovah and an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, Arise and let us rise up against her in battle. ² Behold, I have made you small among the nations. You are greatly despised.
³ The pride of your heart has deceived you, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high, who says in his heart, Who will bring me down to the ground? ⁴ Though you mount on high as the eagle and though your nest is set among the stars, I will bring you down from there, says Jehovah.
⁵ If thieves came to you, if robbers by night (how you are cut off!), they would not steal only till they had enough? If grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleaning grapes?
⁶ How are the things of Esau searched! How are his hidden treasures sought out! ⁷ All the men of your confederacy have brought you on your way, even to the border. The men who were at peace with you have deceived you and prevailed against you. Those who eat your bread lay a snare under you. There is no understanding in him.
⁸ Jehovah says, Shall I not in that day, destroy the wise men out of Edom and understanding out of the mountain of Esau? ⁹ And your mighty men, O Teman, will be dismayed, to the end that everyone may be cut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.
¹⁰ Shame will cover you for the violence done to your brother Jacob and you will be cut off everlasting. ¹¹ In the day that you stood on the other side, in the day that strangers carried away his substance and foreigners entered into his gates and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even you were as one of them.
¹² But do not look on the day of your brother in the day of his disaster and rejoice not over the sons of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor speak proudly in the day of distress. ¹³ Do not enter into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity.
Yes, do not look on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor lay you* hands on their substance in the day of their calamity. ¹⁴ And stand not in the crossway, to cut off those of his who escape and do not deliver up those of his who remain in the day of distress.
¹⁵ For the day of Jehovah is near upon all the nations. As you have done, it will be done to you. Your dealing will return upon your own head. ¹⁶ For as you* have drunk upon my holy mountain, so will all the nations drink continually. Yes, they will drink and swallow down and will be as though they had not been.
¹⁷ But in Mount Zion there will be those who escape and it will be holy and the house of Jacob will possess their possessions. ¹⁸ And the house of Jacob will be a fire and the house of Joseph a flame and the house of Esau for stubble. And they will burn among them and devour them and there will not be any remaining to the house of Esau, for Jehovah has spoken it.
¹⁹ And those of the South will possess the mountain of Esau and those of the lowland the Philistines. And they will possess the field of Ephraim and the field of Samaria and Benjamin will possess Gilead.
²⁰ And the captives of this host of the sons of Israel, who are among the Canaanites, will possess even to Zarephath. And the captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the cities of the South. ²¹ And saviors will come up on Mount Zion to judge the mountain of Esau and the kingdom will be Jehovah's.

⁷ Remember, O Jehovah, the day of Jerusalem against the sons of Edom, who said, Raze it, raze it, even to the foundation of it.

² that sends ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of papyrus upon the waters, saying, You* go swift messengers, to a nation tall and smooth, to a people fearful from their beginning onward, a nation mighty and trampled down, whose land the rivers divide!
³ All you* inhabitants of the world and you* dwellers on the earth, when an ensign is lifted up on the mountains, see you* and when the trumpet is blown, hear you*.

¹¹ The burden of Duma.
He calls to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?

⁴ For their rulers are at Zoan and their ambassadors have come to Hanes.

¹ Come near, you* nations, to hear. And listen, peoples. Let the earth hear and the fullness of it, the world and all things that come out from it. ² For Jehovah has indignation against all the nations and wrath against all their host. He has utterly destroyed them. He has delivered them to the slaughter. ³ Their slain also will be cast out. And the stench of their dead bodies will come up and the mountains will be melted with their blood.
⁴ And all the host of heaven will be dissolved and the heavens will be rolled together as a scroll. And all their host will fade away as the leaf fades from the vine and as a fading leaf from the fig tree.
⁵ For my sword has drunk its fill in heaven. Behold, it will come down upon Edom and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. ⁶ The sword of Jehovah is filled with blood. It is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams, for Jehovah has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom. ⁷ And the wild oxen will come down with them and the bullocks with the bulls. And their land will be drunken with blood and their dust made fat with fatness. ⁸ For Jehovah has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
⁹ And the streams of Edom will be turned into pitch and the dust of it into brimstone. And the land of it will become burning pitch. ¹⁰ It will not be quenched night nor day. The smoke of it will go up everlasting. From generation to generation it will lie waste. None will pass through it forever and forever. ¹¹ But the pelican and the porcupine will possess it. And the owl and the raven will dwell in it. And he will stretch over it the line of confusion and the plummet of emptiness. ¹² They will call the nobles of it to the kingdom, but none will be there. And all its rulers will be nothing.
¹³ And thorns will come up in its palaces, nettles and thistles in the fortresses of it. And it will be a habitation of jackals, a court for ostriches. ¹⁴ And the wild beasts of the desert will meet with the wolves. And the wild goat will cry to his fellow. Yes, the screech owl will settle there and will find her a place of rest. ¹⁵ There the dart-snake will make her nest and lay and hatch and gather under her shade. Yes, there the vultures will be gathered, each one with her mate.
¹⁶ Seek out of the book of Jehovah and read. No one of these will be missing. None will want her mate. For my mouth, it has commanded and his Spirit, it has gathered them. ¹⁷ And he has cast the lot for them and his hand has divided it to them by line. They will possess it everlasting. From generation to generation they will dwell in it.

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this who is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
² Why are you red in your apparel and your garments like he who treads in the wine vat? ³ I have trodden the winepress alone and of the peoples there was no man with me. Yes, I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments and I have stained all my garments. ⁴ For the day of vengeance was in my heart and the year of my redeemed has come.
⁵ And I looked and there was none to help. And I wondered that there was none to uphold. Therefore my own arm brought salvation to me. And my wrath, it upheld me. ⁶ And I trod down the peoples in my anger and made them drunk in my wrath and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.

⁴ Prepare you* war against her. Arise and let us go up at noon. Woe to us! For the day declines; for the shadows of the evening are stretched out. ⁵ Arise and let us go up by night and let us destroy her palaces.

²⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will punish all those who are circumcised in their uncircumcision: ²⁶ Egypt and Judah and Edom and the sons of Ammon and Moab and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, who dwell in the wilderness. For all the nations are uncircumcised and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.

¹⁷ Then I took the cup at Jehovah's hand and made all the nations to drink, to whom Jehovah had sent me:

²¹ Edom and Moab and the sons of Ammon,

⁷ Of Edom. Jehovah of hosts says thus: Is wisdom no more in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom vanished? ⁸ Flee you*, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan. For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him. ⁹ If grape-gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? If thieves by night, would they not destroy till they had enough? ¹⁰ But I have made Esau bare. I have uncovered his secret places and he will not be able to hide himself. His seed is destroyed and his brothers and his neighbors and he is not.
¹¹ Leave your fatherless sons; I will preserve them alive. And let your widows trust in me. ¹² For Jehovah says thus: Behold, those to whom it did not pertain to drink of the cup will assuredly drink. And are you he who will go altogether unpunished? You will not go unpunished, but you will surely drink. ¹³ For I have sworn by myself, says Jehovah, that Bozrah will become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste and a curse and all the cities of it will be everlasting wastes. ¹⁴ I have heard news from Jehovah. And an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, Gather yourselves together and come against her and rise up to the battle. ¹⁵ For, behold, I have made you small among the nations and despised among men.
¹⁶ As for your formidableness, the pride of your heart has deceived you, O you who dwells in the clefts of the rock, who holds the height of the hill. Though you should make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from there, says Jehovah.
¹⁷ And Edom will become an astonishment. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished and will hiss at all the plagues of it. ¹⁸ As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities of it, says Jehovah, no man will dwell there, nor will any son of man journey in it.
¹⁹ Behold, he will come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation. For I will suddenly make them run away from it. And he who is chosen, him I will appoint over it. For who is like me and who will appoint a time for me and who is the shepherd who will stand before me?
²⁰ Therefore hear the counsel of Jehovah that he has taken against Edom and his purposes, that he has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely they will drag them away, even the little ones of the flock. Surely he will make their habitation desolate over them.
²¹ The earth trembles at the noise of their fall. There is a cry; the noise of it is heard in the Red Sea. ²² Behold, he will come up and fly as the eagle and spread out his wings against Bozrah. And the heart of the mighty men of Edom at that day will be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

⁹ For behold, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon a company of great nations from the north country and they will set themselves in array against her. From there she will be taken. Their arrows will be as of an expert mighty man; none will return in vain. ¹⁰ And Chaldea will be a prey. All who prey upon her will be satisfied, says Jehovah.
¹¹ Because you* are glad, because you* rejoice, O you* who plunder my heritage, because you* are wanton as a heifer that treads out the grain and neigh as strong horses, ¹² your* mother will be utterly put to shame. She who bore you* will be confounded. Behold, she will be the hindermost of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land and a desert. ¹³ Because of the wrath of Jehovah she will not be inhabited, but she will be entirely desolate. Everyone who goes by Babylon will be astonished and hiss at all her plagues.
¹⁴ Set yourselves in array against Babylon all around, all you* who bend the bow. Shoot at her; spare no arrows. For she has sinned against Jehovah. ¹⁵ Shout against her all around. She has submitted herself. Her ramparts are fallen. Her walls are thrown down. For it is the vengeance of Jehovah. Take vengeance upon her. As she has done, do to her.

²⁷ Set up a standard in the land. Blow the trumpet among the nations. Prepare the nations against her. Call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni and Ashkenaz. Appoint a marshal against her. Cause the horses to come up as the rough canker-worm. ²⁸ Prepare against her the nations, the kings of the Medes, the governors of it and all the deputies of it and all the land of their dominion.

⁴⁶ And do not let your* heart faint. Neither fear for the news that will be heard in the land. For news will come one year and after that in another year, news and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

²¹ Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, who dwells in the land of Uz. Yet the cup will pass through to you also. You will be drunken and will make yourself naked.
²² The punishment of your iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion. He will no more carry you away into captivity. He will visit your iniquity, O daughter of Edom. He will uncover your sins.

¹² The lord Jehovah says thus: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance and has greatly offended and revenged himself upon them, ¹³ therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: I will stretch out my hand upon Edom and will cut off man and beast from it and I will make it desolate. From Teman, even to Dedan they will fall by the sword.
¹⁴ And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel and they will do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath. And they will know my vengeance, says the lord Jehovah.

³ And say to it, The lord Jehovah says thus: Behold, I am against you, O Mount Seir and I will stretch out my hand against you and I will make you a desolation and an astonishment. ⁴ I will lay your cities waste and you will be desolate.
And you will know that I am Jehovah.
⁵ Because you have had a everlasting enmity and have given over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end, ⁶ therefore, as I live, says the lord Jehovah, I will prepare you to blood and blood will pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, therefore blood will pursue you.
⁷ Thus I will make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation and I will cut off from it he who passes through and he who returns. ⁸ And I will fill its mountains with its slain. In your hills and in your valleys and in all your watercourses will fall who are slain with the sword. ⁹ I will make you a everlasting desolation and your cities will not be inhabited.
And you* will know that I am Jehovah.
¹⁰ Because you have said, These two nations and these two countries will be mine and we will possess it, and Jehovah was there, ¹¹ therefore, as I live, says the lord Jehovah, I will do according to your anger and according to your envy which you have shown out of your hatred against them. And I will make myself known among them when I will judge you.
¹² And you will know that I, Jehovah, have heard all your revilings which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate. They are given us to devour. ¹³ And you* have magnified yourselves against me with your* mouth and made your* words abundant against me. I have heard it.
¹⁴ The lord Jehovah says thus: When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate. ¹⁵ As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be desolate, O Mount Seir and all Edom, even all of it. And they will know that I am Jehovah.

¹⁹ Egypt will be a desolation and Edom will be a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the sons of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

¹¹ Jehovah says thus: For three transgressions of Edom, yes, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because he pursued his brother with the sword and cast off all pity. And his anger tore perpetually and he kept his wrath forever. ¹² But I will send a fire upon Teman and it will devour the palaces of Bozrah.

¹³ The breaker has gone up before them. They have broken forth and passed on to the gate and have gone out there. And their king has passed on before them and Jehovah at the head of them.

³ but Esau I hated and made his mountains a desolation and gave his heritage to the jackals of the wilderness.
⁴ If Edom says, We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places, Jehovah of hosts says thus: They will build, but I will throw down and men will call them the border of wickedness and the people against whom Jehovah has indignation everlasting.

⁶ But you are about to hear of wars and reports of wars; behold, do not alarmed; for it is essential for all these things to happen, but the end is not yet.

⁷ Now whenever you hear of wars and reports of wars, do not be alarmed; for it is essential for these things to happen, but the end is not yet.

¹⁸ And Edom will be a possession, Seir also will be a possession, who were his enemies, while Israel does valiantly.

⁷ Jehovah makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. ⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, he lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with rulers and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah's and he has set the world upon them.

²⁵ Therefore he takes knowledge of their works and he overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
²⁶ He slaps them as wicked men in the open sight of others ²⁷ because they turned aside from following him and would not have regard in any of his ways, ²⁸ so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him and he heard the cry of the afflicted.
²⁹ When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? And when he hides his face, who then can behold him? It is the same whether to a nation, or to a man,

³⁹ Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble and sorrow. ⁴⁰ He pours contempt upon rulers and makes them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.

⁹ Jehovah of hosts has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

¹⁵ It will be the lowest of the kingdoms, nor will it lift itself up any more above the nations. And I will diminish them, that they will no more rule over the nations.

¹⁰ Then my enemy will see it and shame will cover her who said to me, Where is Jehovah your God? My eyes will see my desire upon her. Now she will be trodden down as the mud of the streets.

⁵¹ He has made his dominion known with his arm. He has scattered the haughty in the perception of their heart. ⁵² He has taken down sovereigns from their thrones and has exalted the humble.

⁷ He killed ten thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt and took Sela by war and called the name of it Joktheel, to this day.

¹² And the sons of Judah carried away ten thousand alive and brought them to the top of the rock and cast them down from the top of the rock, so that they all were broken in pieces.

¹⁸ Pride is before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

¹² Before destruction the heart of man is haughty and before honor is humility.

²³ A man's pride will bring him low, but he who is of a lowly spirit will obtain honor.

¹⁴ And my hand has found as a nest the riches of the peoples. And like a gathering of eggs that are forsaken, I have gathered all the earth. And there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.
¹⁵ Shall the axe boast itself against he who hews with it? Shall the saw magnify itself against he who wields it? As if a rod should wield those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up he who is not wood.
¹⁶ Therefore will the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, send among his fat ones, leanness and under his glory there will be kindled a burning like the burning of fire.

¹³ And you said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God and I will sit upon the mountain of congregation, in the outermost parts of the north. ¹⁴ I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will make myself like the Most High. ¹⁵ Yet you will be brought down to Sheol, to the utmost parts of the pit.

⁶ We have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud, even of his arrogance and his pride and his wrath. His boastings are nothing.

⁷ And you said, I will be a mistress everlasting, so that you did not lay these things to your heart, nor remembered the latter end of it.
⁸ Now therefore hear this, you who are given to pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, I am and there is none else besides me. I will not sit as a widow, nor shall I know the loss of sons.

²⁹ We have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud, his loftiness and his pride and his arrogance and the haughtiness of his heart. ³⁰ I know his wrath, says Jehovah, that it is nothing. His boastings have worked nothing.

⁴ Why do you glory in the valleys, your flowing valley? O backsliding daughter, who trusted in her treasures, saying, Who will come to me?

⁷ In how-much she glorified herself and was promiscuous, give to her so-much more torment and mourning, because she says in her heart, I am sitting as a queen and I am no widow and may never see mourning. ⁸ Because of this, in one day her wounds will come–death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned in fire, because strong is the Lord God who judged her.

⁶ Though his height mounts up to the heavens and his head reaches to the clouds, ⁷ yet he will perish forever like his own manure. Those who have seen him will say, Where is he?

²⁷ Is it at your command that the eagle mounts up and makes her nest on high? ²⁸ She dwells on the cliff and makes her home upon the point of the cliff and the stronghold.

¹² How you are fallen from heaven, O daystar, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, who laid the nations low!

⁵³ Though Babylon should mount up to heaven and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me destroyers will come to her, says Jehovah.

² Though they dig into Sheol, from there my hand will take them and though they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down.

⁹ Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!

²¹ When you gather of your vineyard, you will not glean it behind you. It will be for the traveler, for the fatherless and for the widow.

¹⁹ Your glory, O Israel, is slain upon your high places! How are the mighty fallen!

¹² How you are fallen from heaven, O daystar, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, who laid the nations low!

⁶ Yet there will be gleanings left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree–two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost branches of a fruitful tree, says Jehovah, the God of Israel.

¹³ For thus it will be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.

⁹ If grape-gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? If thieves by night, would they not destroy till they had enough?

²³ How the hammer of the whole earth is cut apart and broken! How Babylon has become a desolation among the nations!

¹ How the city sits solitary, that was full of people! She has become as a widow, who was great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces has become forced-labor!

¹ Woe is me! For I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape gleanings of the vintage. There is no cluster to eat. My soul desires the first ripe fig.

¹⁵ This is the joyous city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am and there is none besides me. How she has become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! Everyone who passes by her will hiss and wag his hand.

¹⁰ standing from afar because of their fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! Because in one hour your judgment has come.

¹ O Jehovah, you have searched and known me.

¹³ For he has said, I have done it by the strength of my hand and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. And I have removed the bounds of the peoples and have robbed their treasures. And like a valiant man I have brought down those who sit on thrones. ¹⁴ And my hand has found as a nest the riches of the peoples. And like a gathering of eggs that are forsaken, I have gathered all the earth. And there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.

³ And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, Jehovah, who call you by your name, even the God of Israel.

¹⁰ But I have made Esau bare. I have uncovered his secret places and he will not be able to hide himself. His seed is destroyed and his brothers and his neighbors and he is not.

³⁷ A sword is upon their horses and upon their chariots and upon all the mixed people who are in the midst of her and they will become as women. A sword is upon her treasures and they will be robbed.

²² He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness and the light dwells with him.

¹⁹ Do not store up treasures for you upon the earth, where moth and rust ingest, and where thieves burrow through your^\'b0 wall and steal. ²⁰ But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust ingest, and where thieves do not burrow through or steal.

⁹ Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

¹² Because it was not an enemy who reproached me. Then I could have borne it. Neither was it he who hated me that magnified himself against me. Then I would have hid myself from him.
¹³ But it was you, a man my equal, my companion and my familiar friend.

¹¹ The rulers of Zoan are utterly foolish. The counsel of the wisest counselors of Pharaoh has become stupid. How will you* say to Pharaoh, I am the son of wise men, the son of long-ago kings? ¹² Where then are your wise men? And let them tell you now and let them know what Jehovah of hosts has purposed concerning Egypt. ¹³ The rulers of Zoan have become fools. The rulers of Memphis are deceived. They have caused Egypt to go-astray, the chief of her tribes.
¹⁴ Jehovah has mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst of her and they have made Egypt go-astray in every work of it, as a drunken man wanders around in his vomit.

¹¹ When the limbs of it are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for it is a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion upon them and he who formed them will show them no favor.

³⁰ And you, when you are made desolate, what will you do? Though you clothe yourself with scarlet, though you deck you with ornaments of gold, though you enlarge your eyes with paint, in vain you make yourself fair. Your lovers despise you, they seek your life.

¹⁰ For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. Denounce and we will denounce him, say all my familiar friends, those who watch for my fall. Perhaps he will be persuaded and we will prevail against him and we will take our revenge on him.

¹⁴ All who love you have forgotten you; they do not seek you. For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.

²² Behold, all the women who are left in the king of Judah's house will be brought out to the king of Babylon's rulers. And those women will say, Your familiar friends have set upon you and have prevailed over you. Since your feet are sunk in the mud, they have turned back away.

¹⁹ I called for my loved ones, but they deceived me. My priests and my elders gave up the spirit in the city, while they sought food for themselves to refresh their souls.

²² Therefore, O Oholibah, thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated and I will bring them against you on every side: ²³ the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa and all the Assyrians with them, desirable young men, governors and rulers all of them, rulers and men of renown, all of them riding upon horses. ²⁴ And they will come against you with weapons, chariots and wagons and with a company of peoples. They will set themselves against you with buckler and shield and helmet all around. And I will commit the judgment to them and they will judge you according to their judgments.
²⁵ And I will set my jealousy against you and they will deal with you in fury. They will take away your nose and your ears and your residue will fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters and your residue will be devoured by the fire.

¹³ The sorrows of a travailing woman will come upon him. He is an unwise son, for it is time he should not abide in the place of the breaking forth of sons.

¹⁸ I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with me, lifted up his heel against me.’

¹² And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who did not yet receive a kingdom, but they receive authority like kings, with the beast, for one hour. ¹³ These have one intention and they are giving their power and authority to the beast. ¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb and the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those called and chosen and faithful with him. ¹⁵ And he says to me, The waters which you saw, where the prostitute is sitting, are peoples and crowds and nations and languages. ¹⁶ And the ten horns which you saw and the beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her desolate and will make her naked and will eat her flesh and will be burning her up in fire. ¹⁷ For God gave to their hearts to do his intention and to do it with one intention and to give their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God should be completed.

¹² He frustrates the devices of the crafty so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. ¹³ He takes the wise in their own craftiness and the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong. ¹⁴ They meet with darkness in the daytime and grope at noonday as in the night.

¹⁰ Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

³ And the spirit of Egypt will fail in the midst of it and I will destroy the counsel of it. And they will seek for the idols and for the charmers and for those who have familiar spirits and for the wizards.

¹⁴ Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder. I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.

¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it has been written, ‘ It is he who grabs the wise in their craftiness'; ²⁰ and again, ‘The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are futile.’

¹¹ And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho and Gatam and Kenaz.

⁵ Do not contend with them, for I will not give you* of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau for a possession.

⁴⁵ And Jobab died and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned instead of him.

¹¹ Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that came upon him, they came each one from his own place–Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite–and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and to comfort him.

⁵ The stouthearted are made a spoil. They have slept their sleep and none of the men of might have found their hands. ⁶ At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.

¹⁶ In that day the Egyptians will be like women and they will tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of hosts, which he shakes over them.
¹⁷ And the land of Judah will become a terror to Egypt. Everyone to whom mention is made of it will be afraid because of the purpose of Jehovah of hosts, which he purposes against it.

⁵ For my sword has drunk its fill in heaven. Behold, it will come down upon Edom and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. ⁶ The sword of Jehovah is filled with blood. It is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams, for Jehovah has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom. ⁷ And the wild oxen will come down with them and the bullocks with the bulls. And their land will be drunken with blood and their dust made fat with fatness. ⁸ For Jehovah has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this who is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
² Why are you red in your apparel and your garments like he who treads in the wine vat? ³ I have trodden the winepress alone and of the peoples there was no man with me. Yes, I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments and I have stained all my garments.

²⁰ Therefore hear the counsel of Jehovah that he has taken against Edom and his purposes, that he has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely they will drag them away, even the little ones of the flock. Surely he will make their habitation desolate over them.

²² Behold, he will come up and fly as the eagle and spread out his wings against Bozrah. And the heart of the mighty men of Edom at that day will be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

³⁶ A sword is upon the boasters and they will become fools. A sword is upon her mighty men and they will be dismayed. ³⁷ A sword is upon their horses and upon their chariots and upon all the mixed people who are in the midst of her and they will become as women. A sword is upon her treasures and they will be robbed.

¹³ therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: I will stretch out my hand upon Edom and will cut off man and beast from it and I will make it desolate. From Teman, even to Dedan they will fall by the sword.

¹² But I will send a fire upon Teman and it will devour the palaces of Bozrah.

¹⁶ And he who is courageous among the mighty will flee away naked in that day, says Jehovah.

²¹ And saviors will come up on Mount Zion to judge the mountain of Esau and the kingdom will be Jehovah's.

¹³ Behold, your people in the midst of you are women. The gates of your land are set wide open to your enemies. The fire has devoured your bars.

¹¹ And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man and I am a smooth man.

⁴¹ And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then I will kill my brother Jacob.

¹⁴ And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the King of Edom, Thus says your brother Israel, You know all the travail that has befallen us, ¹⁵ how our fathers went down into Egypt and we dwelt in Egypt a long time. And the Egyptians dealt ill with us and our fathers. ¹⁶ And when we cried to Jehovah, he heard our voice and sent a messenger and brought us forth out of Egypt. And behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the outermost of your border. ¹⁷ I beseech you, let us pass through your land. We will not pass through field or through vineyard, neither will we drink of the water of the wells. We will go along the king's highway. We will not turn aside to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed your border.
¹⁸ And Edom said to him, You will not pass through me, lest I come out with the sword against you. ¹⁹ And the sons of Israel said to him, We will go up by the highway. And if we drink of your water, I and my cattle, then will I give the price of it. Only let me, without doing anything, pass through on my feet. ²⁰ And he said, You will not pass through. And Edom came out against him with many people and with a strong hand.
²¹ Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border. Therefore Israel turned away from him.

⁷ Because for your sake I have borne reproach, shame has covered my face.

⁵ Because they have consulted together with one consent. They make a covenant against you: ⁶ the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites, ⁷ Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre, ⁸ Assyria also is joined with them; they have helped the sons of Lot. Selah.
⁹ Do to them as to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon,

⁴⁵ The days of his youth you have shortened. You have covered him with shame. Selah.

²⁹ Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor and let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

¹⁸ I will clothe his enemies with shame, but upon himself his crown will flourish.

²⁵ Let us lie down in our shame and let our confusion cover us, for we have sinned against Jehovah our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day and we have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God.

¹³ For I have sworn by myself, says Jehovah, that Bozrah will become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste and a curse and all the cities of it will be everlasting wastes.

¹⁷ And Edom will become an astonishment. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished and will hiss at all the plagues of it. ¹⁸ As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities of it, says Jehovah, no man will dwell there, nor will any son of man journey in it.
¹⁹ Behold, he will come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation. For I will suddenly make them run away from it. And he who is chosen, him I will appoint over it. For who is like me and who will appoint a time for me and who is the shepherd who will stand before me?
²⁰ Therefore hear the counsel of Jehovah that he has taken against Edom and his purposes, that he has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely they will drag them away, even the little ones of the flock. Surely he will make their habitation desolate over them.

⁵¹ We are confounded, because we have heard reproach. Confusion has covered our faces. For strangers have come into the sanctuaries of Jehovah's house.

²¹ Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, who dwells in the land of Uz. Yet the cup will pass through to you also. You will be drunken and will make yourself naked.

¹⁸ They will also gird themselves with sackcloth and horror will cover them. And shame will be upon all faces and baldness upon all their heads.

⁵ Because you have had a everlasting enmity and have given over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end, ⁶ therefore, as I live, says the lord Jehovah, I will prepare you to blood and blood will pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, therefore blood will pursue you.
⁷ Thus I will make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation and I will cut off from it he who passes through and he who returns.

⁹ I will make you a everlasting desolation and your cities will not be inhabited.
And you* will know that I am Jehovah.

¹¹ Jehovah says thus: For three transgressions of Edom, yes, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because he pursued his brother with the sword and cast off all pity. And his anger tore perpetually and he kept his wrath forever.

¹⁰ At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem and the city was besieged. ¹¹ And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to the city while his servants were besieging it. ¹² And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he and his mother and his servants and his princes and his officers. And the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
¹³ And he carried out from there all the treasures of the house of Jehovah and the treasures of the king's house and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold, which Solomon King of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had said. ¹⁴ And he carried away all Jerusalem and all the rulers and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives and all the craftsmen and the blacksmiths. None remained except the poorest sort of the people of the land.
¹⁵ And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon. And the king's mother and the king's wives and his officers and the chief men of the land, he carried into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon. ¹⁶ And all the men of might, even seven thousand and the craftsmen and the blacksmiths a thousand, all of them strong and able for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

¹¹ And the remnant of the people that were left in the city and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon and the remnant of the multitude, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive.

¹⁸ When you saw a thief, you consented with him and have been partaker with adulterers.

²⁸ This is the people whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away captive: In the seventh year three thousand twenty-three Jews. ²⁹ In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty-two persons. ³⁰ In the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty-five persons. All the persons were four thousand six hundred.

³ and have cast lots for my people and have given a boy for a prostitute and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.

¹⁰ Yet she was carried away. She went into captivity. Her young sons also were dashed in pieces at the head of all the streets. And they cast lots for her honorable men and all her great men were bound in chains.

³ Talk no more so very proudly. Do not let arrogance come out of your* mouth, for Jehovah is a God of knowledge and by him actions are weighed.

²⁹ if I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him

¹⁷ I may count all my bones. They look and stare upon me.

¹⁸ Let the lying lips be dumb, which arrogantly speak against the righteous man, with pride and contempt.

¹³ The Lord will laugh at him, because he sees that his day is coming.

⁷ Because he has delivered me out of all trouble and my eye has seen it upon my enemies.

¹⁰ My God with his loving kindness will meet me. God will let me look upon my enemies.

¹¹ and my eye has seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the evildoers who rise up against me.

⁵ He who mocks a poor man reproaches his maker. He who is glad at calamity will not be unpunished.

¹⁷ Rejoice not when your enemy falls and do not let your heart be glad when he is overthrown, ¹⁸ lest Jehovah see it and it displease him and he turn away his wrath from him.

²⁴ You have defied the Lord by your servants and have said, I have come up to the height of the mountains with the multitude of my chariots, to the innermost parts of Lebanon. And I will cut down the tall cedars of it and the choice fir trees of it and I will enter into its farthest height, the forest of its fruitful field.

⁶ For thus says the lord Jehovah: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped with the feet and rejoiced with all the spite of your soul against the land of Israel, ⁷ therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand upon you and will deliver you for a spoil to the nations. And I will cut you off from the peoples and I will cause you to perish out of the countries. I will destroy you.
And you will know that I am Jehovah.

¹⁵ As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be desolate, O Mount Seir and all Edom, even all of it. And they will know that I am Jehovah.

¹¹ And now many nations are assembled against you, who say, Let her be defiled and let our eye see our desire upon Zion.

⁸ Rejoice not against me, O my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be a light to me.
⁹ I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case and executes judgment for me. He will bring me forth to the light and I will behold his righteousness.
¹⁰ Then my enemy will see it and shame will cover her who said to me, Where is Jehovah your God? My eyes will see my desire upon her. Now she will be trodden down as the mud of the streets.

⁴⁰ and saying, He who tears-down the temple and builds it in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.
⁴¹ Now likewise, also the high-priests with the scribes and elders and Pharisees, mocking him, and were saying, ⁴² He saved others, yet he is not able to save himself. If he is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross and we will believe in him. ⁴³ He has confidence upon God. Let him rescue him now, if he is willing to save him; for he said, I am the Son of God.

⁴¹ And as he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it,

⁵ So the tongue is also a little member and boasts of magnificent things. Behold, how-vast a forest it lights with such a small fire!

¹⁸ For while speaking flattering-words of futility, they entice (with the lusts of the flesh to unbridled-lusts) those who really had fled away from those who conduct themselves in error.

¹⁶ These men are murmurers, complainers, conducting-themselves according to their lusts and their mouth is speaking flattering-words, admiring faces because of profit.

⁵ And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to him, and authority to make war forty-two months was given to him.

¹² It may be that Jehovah will look on the wrong done to me and that Jehovah will reward me good for his cursing of me this day.

⁵ Because you have had a everlasting enmity and have given over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end,

¹⁰ Because you have said, These two nations and these two countries will be mine and we will possess it, and Jehovah was there,

¹⁵ And I am very greatly displeased with the nations that are at ease. For I was but a little displeased and they helped forward the affliction.

³ And let us arise and go up to Bethel and I will make there an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and was with me on the way which I went.

⁸ and you have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place.

³ And they said to him, Thus says Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble and of rebuke and of blasphemy, for the sons have come to the birth and there is not strength to bring forth.

⁷ Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it. It is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he will be saved out of it.

⁶ Jehovah says thus: For three transgressions of Gaza, yes, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because they carried away captive the whole people, to deliver them up to Edom.

⁹ Jehovah says thus: For three transgressions of Tyre, yes, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because they delivered up the whole people to Edom and did not remember the brotherly covenant.

¹² But do not look on the day of your brother in the day of his disaster and rejoice not over the sons of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor speak proudly in the day of distress.

⁷ And Adoni-bezek said, Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered scraps under my table. As I have done, so God has requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem and he died there.

⁵ The Lord at your right hand will strike through kings in the day of his wrath. ⁶ He will judge among the nations. He will fill with dead bodies. He will strike through the head in many countries.

⁸ O daughter of Babylon, who is to be destroyed, he will be fortunate who rewards you as you have served us.

¹⁵ For Jehovah says thus, the God of Israel, to me: Take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it. ¹⁶ And they will drink and reel to and fro and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
¹⁷ Then I took the cup at Jehovah's hand and made all the nations to drink, to whom Jehovah had sent me: ¹⁸ Jerusalem and the cities of Judah and the kings of it and the rulers of it, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing and a curse, as it is this day, ¹⁹ Pharaoh King of Egypt and his servants and his rulers and all his people, ²⁰ and all the mixed people and all the kings of the land of the Uz and all the kings of the Philistines and Ashkelon and Gaza and Ekron and the remnant of Ashdod, ²¹ Edom and Moab and the sons of Ammon, ²² and all the kings of Tyre and all the kings of Sidon and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea, ²³ Dedan and Tema and Buz and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, ²⁴ and all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness, ²⁵ and all the kings of Zimri and all the kings of Elam and all the kings of the Medes, ²⁶ and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth. And the king of Sheshach will drink after them. ²⁷ And you will say to them, Jehovah of hosts says thus, the God of Israel: Drink you* and be drunken and spew and fall and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you*.
²⁸ And it will be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you will say to them, Jehovah of hosts says thus: You* will surely drink. ²⁹ For behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name and should you* be utterly unpunished? You* will not be unpunished. For I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹² For Jehovah says thus: Behold, those to whom it did not pertain to drink of the cup will assuredly drink. And are you he who will go altogether unpunished? You will not go unpunished, but you will surely drink.

²⁹ Call together the archers against Babylon, all those who bend the bow. Encamp against her all around; let none of it escape.
Recompense to her according to her work. According to all that she has done, do to her. For she has been proud against Jehovah, against the Holy One of Israel.

³ For the day is near, even the day of Jehovah is near. It will be a day of clouds, a time of the nations.

¹⁵ Alas for the day! For the day of Jehovah is at hand and it will come as destruction from the Almighty.

⁷ behold, I will stir them up out of the place where you* have sold them and will return your* recompense upon your* own head. ⁸ And I will sell your* sons and your* daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah and they will sell them to the men of Sheba, to a nation far off. For Jehovah has spoken it.

¹¹ You* hasten and come, all you* nations all around and gather yourselves together. Cause your mighty ones to come down there, O Jehovah. ¹² Let the nations move themselves and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations all around. ¹³ Put you* in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread you*, for the winepress is full, the vats overflow. For their wickedness is great.
¹⁴ Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Jehovah is near in the valley of decision.

¹⁵ And I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath upon the nations that did not listen.

⁸ Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you, because of men's blood and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.

¹⁴ And Judah also will fight at Jerusalem.
And the wealth of all the nations all around will be gathered together, gold and silver and apparel, in great abundance. ¹⁵ And so will be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel and of the donkey and of all the beasts that will be in those camps, as that plague.
¹⁶ And it will happen, that everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts and to keep the feast of tabernacles. ¹⁷ And it will be, that of the families of the earth he who does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, upon them there will be no rain.
¹⁸ And if the family of Egypt does not go up and does not come, that there will be the plague with which Jehovah will kill* the nations that do not go up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

² For in what judgment you judge, you will be judged and in what measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

¹³ For the judgment is merciless to the one who has not practiced mercy; mercy wins over judgment.

⁸ Because in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup and the wine foams. It is full of mixture and he pours out of the same, surely to the dregs of it. All the wicked of the earth will drain them and drink them. ⁹ But I will declare everlasting. I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

⁹ Make an uproar, O you* peoples and be broken in pieces. And listen, all you* of far countries. Gird yourselves and be broken in pieces. Gird yourselves and be broken in pieces. ¹⁰ Take counsel together and it will be brought to nothing. Speak the word and it will not stand, for God is with us.

⁷ And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her stronghold and that distress her, will be as a dream, a vision of the night.
⁸ And it will be as when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats. But he awakes and his soul is empty. Or as when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks. But he awakes, and behold, he is faint and his soul has appetite. So will the multitude of all the nations be that fight against Mount Zion.

¹⁴ I have for a long time held my peace. I have been still and refrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will gasp and pant together.

²⁵ But Jehovah says thus, Even the captives of the mighty will be taken away and the prey of the terrible will be delivered.
For I will contend with him who contends with you and I will save your sons. ²⁶ And I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh. And they will be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine. And all flesh will know that I, Jehovah, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

²² Thus says your lord Jehovah and your God who pleads the cause of his people: Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath. You will no more drink it again. ²³ And I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, Bow down, that we may go over and you have laid your back as the ground and as the street, to those who go over.

¹⁵ For Jehovah says thus, the God of Israel, to me: Take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it. ¹⁶ And they will drink and reel to and fro and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.

¹⁷ So you* will know that I am Jehovah your* God, dwelling in Zion my holy mountain. Then Jerusalem will be holy and no strangers will pass through her any more.

⁹ They come all of them for violence. The set of their faces is forwards and they gather captives as the sand.

¹⁷ Because the time for judgment is to begin from the house of God, and if it begins first from us, what will be the end of those who are disobedient to the good-news of God?

²⁷ Zion will be redeemed with justice and her converts with righteousness.

³ And it will happen, that he who is left in Zion and he who remains in Jerusalem, will be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Jerusalem, ⁴ when the Lord will have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and will have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst of it, by the spirit of justice and by the spirit of burning.

¹ For Jehovah will have compassion on Jacob and will yet choose Israel and set them in their own land. And the traveler will join himself with them and they will cling to the house of Jacob. ² And the peoples will take them and bring them to their place. And the house of Israel will possess them in the land of Jehovah for servants and for handmaids. And they will take them captive whose captives they were and they will rule over their oppressors.

¹³ I bring near my righteousness. It will not be far off. And my salvation will not abide and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

²¹ Your people also will all be righteous. They will inherit the land everlasting, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

¹⁴ so that none of the remnant of Judah who have gone into the land of Egypt to journey there, will escape or be left to return into the land of Judah, to which they have a desire to return to dwell there. For none will return except such as will escape.

²⁸ And those who escape the sword will return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, few in number. And all the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt to journey there, will know whose word will stand, mine, or theirs.

²⁸ Do not fear, O Jacob my servant, says Jehovah, for I am with you. For I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you, but I will not make a full end of you. But I will discipline you in measure and will in no way leave you unpunished.

¹⁶ But those of them who escape will escape and will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys. All of them moaning, each one in his iniquity.

³² And it will happen, that whoever will call on the name of Jehovah will be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Jehovah has said and among the remnant those whom Jehovah calls.

¹⁹ Egypt will be a desolation and Edom will be a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the sons of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
²⁰ But Judah will abide everlasting and Jerusalem from generation to generation. ²¹ And I will cleanse their blood, that I have not cleansed. For Jehovah dwells in Zion

⁸ Behold, the eyes of the lord Jehovah are upon the sinful kingdom and I will destroy it from the face of the earth, except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, says Jehovah.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that has fallen and close up the breaches of it. And I will raise up its ruins and I will build it as in the days of old, ¹² that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that are called by my name, says Jehovah who does this.
¹³ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes he who draws seed and the mountains will drop sweet wine and all the hills will melt.
¹⁴ And I will bring back the captivity of my people Israel and they will build the waste cities and inhabit them and they will plant vineyards and drink the wine of it. They will also make gardens and eat the fruit of them. ¹⁵ And I will plant them upon their land and they will no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, says Jehovah your God.

³ Jehovah says thus: I am returned to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And Jerusalem will be called The city of truth and the mountain of Jehovah of hosts, The holy mountain.

²⁰ In that day there will be upon the bells of the horses, HOLY TO JEHOVAH and the pots in Jehovah's house will be like the bowls before the altar. ²¹ Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Jehovah of hosts. And all those who sacrifice will come and take of them and boil in it. And in that day there will be no more a Canaanite in the house of Jehovah of hosts.

²⁷ And any desecrated thing or anyone practicing an abomination and a lie may never enter into it; except those who have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life may enter into it.

²⁰ For your servant knows that I have sinned. Therefore, behold, I have come this day the first of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

⁶ the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites, ⁷ Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre, ⁸ Assyria also is joined with them; they have helped the sons of Lot. Selah.
⁹ Do to them as to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon, ¹⁰ who perished at En-dor, who became as manure for the earth. ¹¹ Make their ranking men like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna, ¹² who said, Let us take to ourselves in possession the habitations of God.
¹³ O my God, make them like the whirling dust, as stubble before the wind, ¹⁴ as the fire that burns the forest and as the flame that sets the mountains on fire. ¹⁵ So pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm.

²⁴ Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root will be as rottenness and their blossom will go up as dust, because they have rejected the law of Jehovah of hosts and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁷ And the light of Israel will be for a fire and his Holy One for a flame and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.

⁹ And his rock will pass away because of terror and his rulers will be dismayed at the ensign, says Jehovah, whose fire is in Zion and his furnace in Jerusalem.

¹⁴ Behold, they will be as stubble. The fire will burn them. They will not deliver themselves from the power of the flame. It will not be a coal to warm at, nor a fire to sit before.

¹⁶ And you, son of man, take one stick and write upon it, For Judah and for the sons of Israel his companions. Then take another stick and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions.

¹⁹ say to them, The lord Jehovah says thus: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim and the tribes of Israel his companions and I will put them with it, even with the stick of Judah and make them one stick and they will be one in my hand.

⁵ They leap like the noise of chariots on the tops of the mountains, like the noise of a flame of fire that devours the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

¹⁵ Hate the evil and love the good and establish justice in the gate. It may be that Jehovah, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

⁶ who drink wine in bowls and anoint themselves with the chief oils, but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

⁹ And your mighty men, O Teman, will be dismayed, to the end that everyone may be cut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.
¹⁰ Shame will cover you for the violence done to your brother Jacob and you will be cut off everlasting.

¹⁶ For as you* have drunk upon my holy mountain, so will all the nations drink continually. Yes, they will drink and swallow down and will be as though they had not been.

⁸ And the remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces and there is none to deliver.

¹⁰ For entangled like thorns and drunken as with their drink, they are consumed utterly as dry stubble.

⁶ In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood and like a flaming torch among sheaves. And they will devour all the peoples all around, on the right hand and on the left and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.

¹² But if anyone is building on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw,

¹⁸ And Edom will be a possession, Seir also will be a possession, who were his enemies, while Israel does valiantly.
¹⁹ And out of Jacob will come he who will have dominion and will destroy the remnant from the city.

² This is the land that yet remains: all the regions of the Philistines and all the Geshurites; ³ from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even to the border of Ekron northward, which is reckoned to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites; also the Avvim

²⁵ And their border was Jazer and all the cities of Gilead and half the land of the sons of Ammon, to Aroer that is before Rabbah,

³¹ And half Gilead and Ashtaroth and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the sons of Machir the son of Manasseh, even for the half of the sons of Machir according to their families.

²¹ And the outermost cities of the tribe of the sons of Judah toward the border of Edom in the South were thus : Kabzeel and Eder and Jagur,

³³ In the lowland, Eshtaol and Zorah and Ashnah,

⁴⁵ Ekron, with its towns and its villages, ⁴⁶ from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.

²¹ Now the cities of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin according to their families were: Jericho and Beth-hoglah and Emek-keziz, ²² and Beth-arabah and Zemaraim and Bethel, ²³ and Avvim and Parah and Ophrah, ²⁴ and Chephar-ammoni and Ophni and Geba; twelve cities with their villages. ²⁵ Gibeon and Ramah and Beeroth, ²⁶ and Mizpeh and Chephirah and Mozah, ²⁷ and Rekem and Irpeel and Taralah, ²⁸ and Zelah, Eleph and the Jebusite (what is Jerusalem), Gibeath, and Kiriath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin according to their families.

¹⁸ Also Judah took Gaza with the border of it and Ashkelon with the border of it and Ekron with the border of it.
¹⁹ And Jehovah was with Judah and drove out those of the hill-country. But they could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley because they had chariots of iron.

²⁴ And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon and from Cuthah and from Avva and from Hamath and Sepharvaim and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the sons of Israel. And they possessed Samaria and dwelt in the cities of it.

²⁶ And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria and he carried them away, even the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh and brought them to Halah and Habor and Hara and to the river of Gozan to this day.

² then they drew near to Zerubbabel and to the heads of fathers and said to them, Let us build with you*, for we seek your* God, as you* do and we sacrifice to him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria who brought us up here.

⁷ And in the days of Artaxerxes, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel and the rest of his companions, wrote to Artaxerxes king of Persia. And the writing of the letter was written in the Syrian character and set forth in the Syrian tongue. ⁸ Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king in this way.
⁹ Then wrote Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the scribe and the rest of their companions, the Dinaites and the Apharsathchites, the men of Erech, the Babylonians, the men of Susa, (that is the Elamites), ¹⁰ and the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Osnappar brought over and set in the city of Samaria and in the rest beyond the River and so forth.

¹⁷ Then the king sent an answer to Rehum the chancellor and to Shimshai the scribe and to the rest of their companions who dwell in Samaria and in the rest beyond the River:
Peace and so forth.

³⁵ Because God will save Zion and build the cities of Judah. And they will abide there and have it in possession.

¹³ Also the envy of Ephraim will depart and those who besiege Judah will be cut off. Ephraim will not envy Judah and Judah will not besiege Ephraim. ¹⁴ And they will fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines on the west. Together they will despoil the sons of the east. They will put forth their hand upon Edom and Moab and the sons of Ammon will obey them.

⁴ Again I will build you and you will be built, O virgin of Israel. Again you will be adorned with your tambourine and will go forth in the dances of those who make merry. ⁵ Again you will plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria. The planters will plant and will enjoy it. ⁶ For there will be a day that the watchmen upon the hills of Ephraim will cry, Arise and let us go up to Zion to Jehovah our God.

⁴⁴ Men will buy fields for money and sign the deeds and seal them and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin and in the places around Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah and in the cities of the hill-country and in the cities of the lowland and in the cities of the South. For I will cause their captivity to return, says Jehovah.

¹ Concerning the sons of Ammon. Jehovah says thus: Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why then does Malcam possess Gad and his people dwell in the cities of it?

¹⁶ therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I will stretch out my hand upon the Philistines and I will cut off the Cherethites and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

⁶ Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, The lord Jehovah says thus: Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my wrath, because you* have borne the shame of the nations. ⁷ Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: I have sworn, saying, Surely the nations that are all around you*, they will bear their shame.
⁸ But you*, O mountains of Israel, you* will shoot forth your* branches and yield your* fruit to my people Israel, for they are at hand to come. ⁹ For, behold, I am for you* and I will turn into you* and you* will be tilled and sown.
¹⁰ And I will multiply men upon you*, all the house of Israel, even all of it and the cities will be inhabited and the waste places will be built. ¹¹ And I will multiply upon you* man and beast and they will increase and be fruitful. And I will cause you* to be inhabited according to your* former estate and will do better to you* than at your* beginnings. And you* will know that I am Jehovah.
¹² Yes, I will cause men to walk upon you*, even my people Israel and they will possess you and you will be their inheritance and you will no more hereafter bereave them of sons.

²⁸ And you* will dwell in the land that I gave to your* fathers and you* will be my people and I will be your* God.

²¹ And say to them, The lord Jehovah says thus: Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone and will gather them on every side and bring them into their own land. ²² And I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel and one king will be king to them all. And they will no more be two nations, nor will they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.
²³ Neither will they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions, but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places in which they have sinned and will cleanse them. So they will be my people and I will be their God.
²⁴ And my servant David will be king over them and they all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances and observe my statutes and do them. ²⁵ And they will dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your* fathers dwelt. And they will dwell in it, they and their sons and their son's sons, everlasting. And David my servant will be their ruler everlasting.

¹³ The lord Jehovah says thus: This will be the border by which you* will divide the land for inheritance according to the twelve tribes of Israel. Joseph will have two portions. ¹⁴ And you* will inherit it, one as well as another, for I swore to give it to your* fathers. And this land will fall to you* for inheritance.
¹⁵ And this will be the border of the land: On the north side, from the great sea, by the way of Hethlon, to the entrance of Zedad, ¹⁶ Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath, Hazer-hatticon, which is by the border of Hauran. ¹⁷ And the border from the sea, will be Hazar-enan at the border of Damascus and on the north northward is the border of Hamath. This is the north side. ¹⁸ And the east side, between Hauran and Damascus and Gilead and the land of Israel, will be the Jordan, from the north border to the east sea you* will measure. This is the east side. ¹⁹ And the south side southward will be from Tamar as far as the waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the brook of Egypt, to the great sea. This is the south side southward. ²⁰ And the west side will be the great sea, from the south border as far as opposite the entrance of Hamath. This is the west side.
²¹ So you* will divide this land to you* according to the tribes of Israel.

¹ Now these are the names of the tribes: from the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar-enan at the border of Damascus, northward beside Hamath, (and they will have their sides east and west), Dan, one portion. ² And by the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side, Asher, one portion. ³ And by the border of Asher, from the east side even to the west side, Naphtali, one portion. ⁴ And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side, Manasseh, one portion. ⁵ And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side, Ephraim, one portion. ⁶ And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side even to the west side, Reuben, one portion. ⁷ And by the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side, Judah, one portion. ⁸ And by the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, will be the oblation which you* will offer: twenty-five thousand measures in breadth and in length as one of the portions, from the east side to the west side. And the sanctuary will be in the midst of it.
⁹ The oblation that you* will offer to Jehovah will be twenty-five thousand measures in length and ten thousand in breadth.

⁸ And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod and he who holds the scepter from Ashkelon. And I will turn my hand against Ekron and the remnant of the Philistines will perish, says the lord Jehovah.

¹³ Jehovah says thus: For three transgressions of the sons of Ammon, yes, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they may enlarge their border.

¹² that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that are called by my name, says Jehovah who does this.

¹⁴ Feed your people with your rod, the flock of your heritage, which dwell solitarily in the forest in the midst of Carmel. Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

⁴ For Gaza will be forsaken and Ashkelon a desolation. They will drive out Ashdod at noonday and Ekron will be rooted up. ⁵ Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of Jehovah is against you*, O Canaan, the land of the Philistines. I will destroy you, that there will be no inhabitant. ⁶ And the seacoast will be pastures, with cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks. ⁷ And the coast will be for the remnant of the house of Judah. They will feed their flocks upon it. In the houses of Ashkelon they will lie down in the evening. For Jehovah their God will visit them and bring back their captivity.

⁵ Ashkelon will see it and fear, Gaza also and will be greatly pained and Ekron, for her expectation will be put to shame. And the king will perish from Gaza and Ashkelon will not be inhabited.
⁶ And a bastard will dwell in Ashdod and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. ⁷ And I will take away his blood out of his mouth and his abominations from between his teeth. And he also will be a remnant for our God and he will be as a chieftain in Judah and Ekron as a Jebusite.

⁴ If Edom says, We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places, Jehovah of hosts says thus: They will build, but I will throw down and men will call them the border of wickedness and the people against whom Jehovah has indignation everlasting. ⁵ And your* eyes will see and you* will say, Jehovah be magnified beyond the border of Israel.

⁹ Arise, get you to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to sustain you. ¹⁰ So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, I beseech you, fetch me a little water in a vessel that I may drink.

¹⁸ In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel and they will come together out of the land of the north to the land that I gave for an inheritance to your* fathers.

¹⁹ The cities of the South are shut up and there is none to open them. Judah is carried away captive, all of it. It is entirely carried away captive.

¹³ In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the lowland and in the cities of the South and in the land of Benjamin and in the places around Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of him who numbers them, says Jehovah.

²⁶ then I will also cast away the seed of Jacob and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will cause their captivity to return and will have mercy on them.

¹² As a shepherd seeks out his flock, in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so I will seek out my sheep and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
¹³ And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses and in all the inhabited places of the country.

¹⁰ Yet the number of the sons of Israel will be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered. And it will happen that, in the place where it was said to them, You* are not my people, it will be said to them, The sons of the living God. ¹¹ And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel will be gathered together and they will appoint themselves one head and will go up from the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.

⁶ And I will strengthen the house of Judah and I will save the house of Joseph and I will bring them back. For I have mercy upon them and they will be as though I had not cast them off. For I am Jehovah their God and I will hear them. ⁷ And Ephraim will be like a mighty man and their heart will rejoice as through wine. Yes, their sons will see it and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Jehovah.
⁸ I will whistle for them and gather them. For I have redeemed them and they will increase as they have increased. ⁹ And I will sow them among the peoples and they will remember me in far countries. And they will live with their sons and will return.
¹⁰ I will also bring them again out of the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria. And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon and until space will not be found for them.

²⁶ and Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath from Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

¹⁶ And Jehovah raised up judges who saved them out of the hand of those who despoiled them.

⁹ And when the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah, Jehovah raised up a savior to the sons of Israel, who saved them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.

⁵ (And Jehovah gave Israel a savior, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians and the sons of Israel dwelt in their tents as formerly.

⁶ Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. ⁷ I will tell of the decree. Jehovah said to me, You are my Son, this day I have fathered you. ⁸ Ask of me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the outermost parts of the earth as your possession. ⁹ You will smash them with a rod of iron, you will dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

²⁸ Because the kingdom is Jehovah's and he is the ruler over the nations.

¹⁵ So the nations will fear the name of Jehovah and all the kings of the earth your glory.

⁵ Let the holy ones rejoice in glory. Let them sing for joy upon their beds.
⁶ The high praises of God are in their mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand ⁷ to execute vengeance upon the nations and punishments upon the peoples, ⁸ to bind their kings with chains and their ranking men with fetters of iron, ⁹ to execute upon them the written judgment. All his holy ones have this honor.
Praise Jehovah.

⁶ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given. And the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

²⁰ And it will be for a sign and for a witness to Jehovah of hosts in the land of Egypt. For they will cry to Jehovah because of oppressors and he will send them a savior and a defender and he will deliver them.

³⁵ Then the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver and the gold, was broken in pieces together and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors. And the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them. And the stone that killed* the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

⁴⁴ And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will the sovereignty of it be left to another people, but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it will stand forever.

¹⁴ And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

²⁷ And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, will be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions will serve and obey him.

³ And those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars everlasting and forever.

⁴ And he will stand and will feed his flock in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God and they will abide. For now he will be great to the ends of the earth. ⁵ And this man will be our peace.
When the Assyrian will come into our land and when he will tread in our palaces, then we will raise against him seven shepherds and eight principal men. ⁶ And they will waste the land of Assyria with the sword and the land of Nimrod in the entrances of it. And he will deliver us from the Assyrian, when he comes into our land and when he treads within our border.
⁷ And the remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples as dew from Jehovah, as showers upon the grass, that do not abide for man, nor wait for the sons of men. ⁸ And the remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces and there is none to deliver.
⁹ Let your hand be lifted up above your adversaries and let all your enemies be cut off.

¹¹ As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant I have set free your prisoners from the pit in which is no water.
¹² Turn back to the stronghold, you* prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will render double to you. ¹³ For I have bent Judah for me. I have filled the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece and will make you as the sword of a mighty man. ¹⁴ And Jehovah will be seen over them. And his arrow will go forth as the lightning. And the lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet and will go with whirlwinds of the south.
¹⁵ Jehovah of hosts will defend them. And they will devour and will tread down the sling-stones. And they will drink and make a noise as through wine and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar. ¹⁶ And Jehovah their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people, as for the stones of a crown, lifted on high over his land. ¹⁷ For how great is his goodness and how great is his beauty! Grain will make the young men flourish and new wine the virgins.

⁵ And they will be as mighty men, treading down their enemies in the mud of the streets in the battle. And they will fight, because Jehovah is with them and the riders on horses will be confounded.
⁶ And I will strengthen the house of Judah and I will save the house of Joseph and I will bring them back. For I have mercy upon them and they will be as though I had not cast them off. For I am Jehovah their God and I will hear them. ⁷ And Ephraim will be like a mighty man and their heart will rejoice as through wine. Yes, their sons will see it and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Jehovah.
⁸ I will whistle for them and gather them. For I have redeemed them and they will increase as they have increased. ⁹ And I will sow them among the peoples and they will remember me in far countries. And they will live with their sons and will return.
¹⁰ I will also bring them again out of the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria. And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon and until space will not be found for them. ¹¹ And he will pass through the sea of affliction and will kill* the waves in the sea and all the depths of the Nile will dry up. And the pride of Assyria will be brought down and the scepter of Egypt will depart. ¹² And I will strengthen them in Jehovah and they will walk up and down in his name, says Jehovah.

⁹ And Jehovah will be King over all the earth. In that day Jehovah will be one and his name one.

¹⁰ Let your kingdom come. Let your will happen as in heaven, also upon the earth.

¹³ And do not bring us into temptation, but rescue us from the evil one, because yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

³² He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God will be giving to him the throne of his father David, ³³ and he will be reigning over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end of his kingdom.

³⁰ in order that you may eat and may drink upon my table in my kingdom, and you will be sitting upon thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

² Or do you not know that the holy-ones will be judging the world? And if the world is judged among you, are you unworthy of the least of courts? ³ Do you not know that we will be judging the messengers? Why not judge the things of everyday life?

¹⁶ Take-heed to yourself and to the teaching. Abide in these things; for while practicing this, you will be saving both yourself and those who hear you.

²⁰ let him know, that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will be saving a soul from death and will be hiding a multitude of sins.

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger sounded, and there became loud voices in heaven saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ and he will be reigning forevermore.

⁶ And I heard as it was the voice of a large crowd and like the voice of many waters and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying, Hallelujah, because the Lord our God, the Almighty reigns.

¹¹ And I saw the heaven has been opened, and behold, a white horse and he who sits upon it being called Faithful and True, and he is judging in righteousness and is making war. ¹² Now his eyes are a flame of fire and upon his head are many diadems, and he has names written which no one knows except he himself. ¹³ And he has been dressed in a garment, having been dipped in blood and his name is called The Word of God.

⁴ And I saw thrones and they sat upon them and judgment was given to them and I saw the souls of those who have been decapitated because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God and those who did not worship the beast, nor his image and did not receive the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand, and they lived and reigned with Christ the thousand years.
