¹ Then the scribes and Pharisees from Jerusalem come to Jesus, saying, ² Why are your disciples transgressing the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands whenever they eat bread.
³ But he answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? ⁴ For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘He who is speaking evil of their father or mother, let him be ended by the sentence of death.’ ⁵ But you say, Whoever says to his father or his mother, in whatever you might have been profited from me, it is a gift to God, ⁶ and then should never honor his father and mother, and thus you invalidated the commandment of God because of your tradition. ⁷ You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied well concerning you, saying, ⁸ ‘These people are drawing near to me with their mouth, and are honoring me with their lips, but their heart is faraway from me. ⁹ But they are worshiping me in futility, teaching as their teachings–the commandments of men.’
¹⁰ And he called to him the crowd and said to them, Hear and understand! ¹¹ Not what enters into the mouth desecrates the man, but what is traveling from the mouth, this desecrates the man.
¹² Then the disciples came to him and said, Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this speech?
¹³ He answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly father did not plant will be uprooted. ¹⁴ Leave them! They are blind guides of the blind. Now if the blind guide the blind, both will be falling into a ditch.
¹⁵ Now Peter answered and said to him, Explain to us the parable.
¹⁶ Now Jesus said, Are you also without understanding at this point? ¹⁷ Are you not yet perceiving, that whatever travels into the mouth makes room in the belly, and is cast out into the sewer? ¹⁸ But these things which are traveling from the mouth, come out from the heart, and they desecrate the man. ¹⁹ For out of the heart comes forth evil reasonings, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies. ²⁰ These things are what desecrate the man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not desecrate the man.


²¹ And Jesus went out from there, and departed into the parts of Tyre and Sidon.


²² And behold, a woman from Canaan came out from those borders, and cried-out to him, saying, Show-mercy to me, O Lord, you the son of David. My daughter is evilly demon-possessed. ²³ But he answered her not a word.
And his disciples came and asked him, saying, Dismiss her, because she is crying behind us.
²⁴ But he answered and said, I was not sent, except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
²⁵ But she came and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me.
²⁶ Now he answered and said, It is not good to take the children’s bread and cast it to the puppies.
²⁷ But she said, Yes, Lord; for even the puppies eat from the crumbs which are falling from the table of their lords.
²⁸ Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is your faith. Let it happen for you as you will it. And her daughter was healed from that hour.


²⁹ And Jesus, having proceeded from there, went beside the sea of Galilee, and he went up into the mountain and was sitting there.

They tossed them beside the feet of Jesus, and he healed them; ³¹ so-that the crowds marveled, seeing the mute speaking; the crippled healthy; the lame walking; and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.


³² Now Jesus called his disciples to him, and said, I have compassion upon the crowd because they already remain with me three days, and do not have anything that they might eat, and I am not willing to dismiss them starving, lest they might faint on the road.
³³ And his disciples say to him, From where can we buy so-many loaves for us in the wilderness, so-then to feed so-great a crowd?
³⁴ And Jesus said to them, How many loaves do you have?
But they said, Seven and a few small-fish.
³⁵ And he commanded the crowd to lean-back upon the soil. ³⁶ And he took the seven loaves and the few fish, and he gave-thanks and broke them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples gave to the crowds. ³⁷ And they all ate and were fed, and they took up what was leftover of the broken pieces, seven baskets full. ³⁸ Now those eating were approximately four thousand men, plus women and children.


³⁹ And he dismissed the crowds, and stepped into the ship, and went into the borders of Magadan.

²⁰ For I am saying to you, that if your righteousness is not abounding more-than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you may never enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

² saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit upon the seat of Moses.

¹⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you go all around the sea and the dry land to make one Jewish-convert, and whenever he has become one, you are making him double the son of hell as you^\'b0 are yourselves.
¹⁶ Woe to you, you blind guides, that say, Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated. ¹⁷ You are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that makes the gold holy? ¹⁸ And, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gift which is upon it, he is obligated. ¹⁹ You^\'b0 are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that makes the gift holy? ²⁰ Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it, and by all things upon it. ²¹ And he who swears by the temple, swears by it, and in the one who has dwelt in it. ²² And he who has sworn by the heaven, swears by the throne of God, and in the one who is sitting upon it.
²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and yet have left behind the weighty things of the law: justice and mercy and faith. You ought to do these, and not to have left behind those other things. ²⁴ You blind guides, who strain out the gnat and swallow the camel! ²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you cleanse the outside of the cup and the plate, but they are full from swindling and unrighteousness inside. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the cup from within and the plate, in order that the outside of them might also become clean.
²⁷ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you are similar to whitewashed burial chambers, which on the outside indeed appear beautiful, but inside are full of dead men’s bones, and full of all uncleanness. ²⁸ So on the outside you indeed appear also righteous to men, but inside, you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

²² And the scribes that came down from Jerusalem were saying, He has Beelzebub, and, He is casting out the demons by the ruler of the demons.

¹ And the Pharisees and some of the scribes are gathered together to see him, having come from Jerusalem, ² and having seen some of his disciples eating their bread with common, that is, unwashed hands, they found-fault. ³ For the Pharisees and all the Jews, if they do not wash their hands scrubbing with the fist, do not eat, holding-fast the tradition of the elders; ⁴ and when coming from the marketplace, they do not eat if they do not immerse of cups and pint pitchers and brass kettles and cots. ⁵ Thereafter, the Pharisees and the scribes ask him, Why are your disciples not walking according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with unwashed hands?
⁶ But he answered and said to them, Isaiah did prophesy well concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people are honoring me with their lips, but their heart is faraway from me. ⁷ But they are worshiping me in futility, teaching as their teachings–the commandments of men.’ ⁸ For while leaving the commandment of God, you are holding-fast the tradition of men, like immersions of pint pitchers and cups, and you practice many other such similar things.
⁹ And he said to them, You reject well the commandment of God, in order that you may keep your tradition. ¹⁰ For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘He who is speaking evil of father or mother, let him be ended by the sentence of death.’ ¹¹ But you say, If a man says to his father or his mother, Whatever you might have been profited from me is Corban. (That is, a gift). ¹² And so you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or his mother, ¹³ invalidating the word of God by your tradition, which you have been given, and you practice many such similar things.
¹⁴ And having called to him all the crowd again, he said to them, All, hear me and understand. ¹⁵ There is nothing outside the man, that traveling into him is able to desecrate him, but the things which travel out from him, those are the things which defile the man. ¹⁶ If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.
¹⁷ And when he entered into the house away from the crowd, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. ¹⁸ And he says to them, So are you also without understanding? Are you not perceiving, that whatever is outside, travels into the man, is not able to desecrate him; ¹⁹ because it is not traveling into his heart, but into his belly and travels into the sewer? ( He said thus, cleansing all foods.) ²⁰ Now he said, What travels out from the man, this desecrates the man. ²¹ For evil reasonings travel from inside, out of the heart of men, such as : adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, ²² greedy-acts, wickednesses, treachery, unbridled-lusts, an evil eye, blasphemy, haughtiness, foolishness. ²³ All these evil things travel from inside, and desecrate the man.

¹⁷ And it happened on one of those days, that he was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were seated, who had come out of every village of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem, and the power of the Lord was there, that he might heal them.

²¹ And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this one, who is speaking blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins, except God only?

³⁰ And the Pharisees and their scribes were murmuring to his disciples, saying, Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?

⁹ Now there became a great outcry, and part of the scribes of the Pharisees stood up and were quarreling, saying, We are finding no evil in this man, but if a spirit has spoken to him, or a messenger, we should not quarrel against God.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.

² and having seen some of his disciples eating their bread with common, that is, unwashed hands, they found-fault.

⁵ Thereafter, the Pharisees and the scribes ask him, Why are your disciples not walking according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with unwashed hands?

³⁸ Now when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed himself before a meal.

⁸ Beware, that there will not be anyone there who is leading you away as his prey through philosophy and vain deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the fundamental principles of the world, and not according to Christ,

²⁰ If you died together with Christ away from the fundamental principles of the world, why, (as though living in the world), are you submissive to its decrees: ²¹ do not touch; do not taste; do not handle; ²² (which things in the using are all leading to corruption), according to the commandments and teachings of men? ²³ Which things indeed in a man-made religion have a reason which comes from man’s wisdom and humility and unsparing cruelty of the body, but are not in any value toward the indulgence of the flesh.

¹⁸ knowing that you were redeemed from your futile conduct handed down from your forefathers not with corruptible things like with silver or with gold.

³ And why are you looking at the speck, the one in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the beam in your own eye? ⁴ Or how will you say to your brother, Allow me, that I may cast out the speck from your eye, and behold, the beam in your own eye? ⁵ You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see precisely to cast out the speck from your brother’s eye.
⁶ But he answered and said to them, Isaiah did prophesy well concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people are honoring me with their lips, but their heart is faraway from me. ⁷ But they are worshiping me in futility, teaching as their teachings–the commandments of men.’ ⁸ For while leaving the commandment of God, you are holding-fast the tradition of men, like immersions of pint pitchers and cups, and you practice many other such similar things.

¹³ invalidating the word of God by your tradition, which you have been given, and you practice many such similar things.

²³ Which things indeed in a man-made religion have a reason which comes from man’s wisdom and humility and unsparing cruelty of the body, but are not in any value toward the indulgence of the flesh.

¹⁴ not taking-heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who are turning away from the truth.

¹² Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.

¹⁷ And he who curses his father or his mother, will surely be put to death.

³ Every man will fear his mother and his father. And you* will keep my Sabbaths. I am Jehovah your* God.

⁹ For he who curses his father or his mother will surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother; his blood will be upon him.

¹⁶ Honor your father and your mother, as Jehovah your God commanded you, that your days may be long and that it may go well with you in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.

¹⁸ If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son, who will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and though they discipline him, will not listen to them, ¹⁹ then his father and his mother will lay hold on him and bring him out to the elders of his city and to the gate of his place. ²⁰ And they will say to the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice. He is a glutton and a drunkard. ²¹ And all the men of his city will stone him to death with stones. So you will put away the evil from the midst of you and all Israel will hear and fear.

¹⁶ Cursed be he who dishonors his father or his mother. And all the people will say, Truly.

²⁰ He who curses his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in blackness of darkness.

²² Listen to your father who fathered you and do not despise your mother because she is old.

¹⁷ The eye that mocks at his father and despises to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley will pick it out and the young eagles will eat it.

²⁰ Seek to the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

¹⁰ Then Jesus says to him, Go behind me, Adversary! For it has been written, ‘You will worship the Lord your God and you will give-divine service to him only.’

¹⁷ Do not suppose that I came to tear-down the law or the prophets; I did not come to tear-down, but to fulfill. ¹⁸ For assuredly I am saying to you, Until heaven and earth should pass away, one iota or one serif may never pass away from the law, until all things should become fulfilled.
¹⁹ Therefore, whoever loosens one of these least commandments and may teach men to do so, will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens, but whoever practices and should teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.

¹⁹ Honor your father and mother.

³¹ Therefore, do we do-away-with the law through the faith? Let it not happen! But through the faith, we are establishing the law.

¹ The children, obey^*\'b0 your parents in the Lord; for this is righteous.

⁹ And if it is a beast, of which men offer an oblation to Jehovah, all that any man gives of such to Jehovah will be holy. ¹⁰ He will not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good. And if he will at all change beast for beast, then both it and that for which it is changed will be holy. ¹¹ And if it is any unclean beast, of which they do not offer an oblation to Jehovah, then he will set the beast before the priest, ¹² and the priest will value it, whether it is good or bad. As you the priest values it, so will it be. ¹³ But if he will indeed redeem it, then he will add the fifth part of it to your estimation.
¹⁴ And when a man will sanctify his house to be holy to Jehovah, then the priest will estimate it, whether it is good or bad. As the priest will estimate it, so will it stand. ¹⁵ And if he who made it holy will redeem his house, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be his.
¹⁶ And if a man will sanctify to Jehovah part of the field of his possession, then your estimation will be according to the sowing of it, the sowing of a homer of barley at fifty shekels of silver. ¹⁷ If he sanctifies his field from the year of jubilee, according to your estimation it will stand. ¹⁸ But if he sanctifies his field after the jubilee, then the priest will reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the year of jubilee and an abatement will be made from your estimation.
¹⁹ And if he who made the field holy will indeed redeem it, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be assured to him. ²⁰ And if he will not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it will not be redeemed any more, ²¹ but the field, when it goes out in the jubilee, will be holy to Jehovah, as a field set apart; the possession of it will be the priest's.
²² And if he sanctifies to Jehovah a field which he has bought, which is not of the field of his possession, ²³ then the priest will reckon to him the worth of your estimation to the year of jubilee and he will give your estimation in that day, as a holy thing to Jehovah. ²⁴ In the year of jubilee the field will return to him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongs.
²⁵ And all your estimations will be according to the shekel of the sanctuary; twenty gerahs will be the shekel.
²⁶ Only the first-offspring among beasts, which is made a first-offspring to Jehovah, no man will sanctify it, whether it is ox or sheep, it is Jehovah's. ²⁷ And if it is of an unclean beast, then he will ransom it according to your estimation and will add to it the fifth part of it, or if it is not redeemed, then it will be sold according to your estimation.
²⁸ Notwithstanding, nothing set apart, that a man will set apart to Jehovah of all that he has, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, will be sold or redeemed; everything set apart is most holy to Jehovah. ²⁹ No one set apart, who will be set apart from among men, will be ransomed; he will surely be put to death.
³⁰ And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is Jehovah's; it is holy to Jehovah. ³¹ And if a man will redeem any of his tithe, he will add to it the fifth part of it. ³² And all the tithe of the herd or the flock, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth will be holy to Jehovah. ³³ He will not search whether it is good or bad, neither will he change it. And if he changes it at all, then both it and that for which it is changed will be holy; it will not be redeemed.
³⁴ These are the commandments, which Jehovah commanded Moses for the sons of Israel at Mount Sinai.

²⁵ It is a snare to a man to say rashly, It is holy. And to make inquiry after vows.

¹⁵ And Jehovah took me from following the flock and Jehovah said to me, Go, prophesy to my people Israel.
¹⁶ Now therefore hear the word of Jehovah: You say, Do not prophesy against Israel and do not drop your word against the house of Isaac. ¹⁷ Therefore Jehovah says thus: Your wife will be a prostitute in the city and your sons and your daughters will fall by the sword and your land will be divided by line and you yourself will die in a land that is unclean. And Israel will surely be led away captive out of his land.

¹⁹ But Peter and John answered and said to them, Judge for yourselves if it is righteous in God’s sight to listen to you rather than to God.

²⁹ But Peter and the apostles answered and said, It is essential for us to obey God rather than men.

¹²⁶ It is time for Jehovah to work. They have made void your law.

¹³⁹ My zeal has consumed me, because my adversaries have forgotten your words.

⁸ How can you* say, We are wise and the law of Jehovah is with us? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has worked falsely.

⁶ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you, that you will be no priest to me. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your sons.

⁷ For the priest's lips should keep knowledge and they should seek the law at his mouth. For he is the messenger of Jehovah of hosts.
⁸ But you* are turned aside out of the way. You* have caused many to stumble in the law. You* have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says Jehovah of hosts. ⁹ Therefore I also have made you* contemptible and base before all the people, just-as you* have not kept my ways, but have had respect of persons in the law.

³ Honor widows who are really widows. ⁴ But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to be devout toward their own family and to give back reimbursement to their parents; for this is acceptable in God’s sight.

⁸ But if anyone is not planning-for his own and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

¹⁶ If any believing man or believing woman has relatives who are widows, they should relieve them and do not let the congregation be burdened; in order that it may relieve those who really are widows.

⁵ You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see precisely to cast out the speck from your brother’s eye.

²⁹ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the burial chambers of the prophets and adorn the tombs of the righteous,

⁶ But he answered and said to them, Isaiah did prophesy well concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people are honoring me with their lips, but their heart is faraway from me.

²⁵ But when they disagreed among themselves, they were dismissing themselves after Paul had spoken just one declaration, The Holy Spirit spoke well through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, ²⁶ saying, ‘Travel to this people and say, In hearing you will hear and yet may never understand, and seeing you will see and yet may never see; ²⁷ for the heart of this people has become-callous and they have selectively heard with the ir ears and they have closed their eyes. Lest, they should see with the ir eyes and should hear with the ir ears and should understand with the ir heart and should return and I will be healing them.’

²⁶ My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways.

¹³ And the Lord said, Inasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but have removed their heart far from me, but in vain they worship me, teaching the commandments and doctrines of men.

² You have planted them. Yes, they have taken root, they grow. Yes, they bring forth fruit. You are near in their mouth and far from their heart. But you, O Jehovah, know me. You see me and try my heart toward you.

³¹ And they come to you as the people come and they sit before you as my people. And they hear your words, but do not do them. For with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and says concerning him, Behold, an Israelite in whom there truly is no treachery!

²¹ You have neither part nor inheritance in this word, for this heart of yours is not straight in God’s sight.

¹² Beware brethren, lest there will be an evil heart of unbelief in anyone of you, in withdrawing away from the living God.

¹⁰ For he who wills to love life and to see good days, let his tongue cease from speaking evil, and also his lips not to speak treachery.

⁷ You will not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain, because Jehovah will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

¹⁶ I also will do this to you*: I will appoint terror over you*, even consumption and fever, that will consume the eyes and make the soul to pine away. And you* will sow your* seed in vain, for your* enemies will eat it.

²⁰ and your* strength will be spent in vain, for your* land will not yield its increase, nor will the trees of the land yield their fruit.

³² Whatever thing I command you*, that will you* observe to do. You will not add to it, nor diminish from it.

²¹ Now David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow has in the wilderness so that nothing was missed of all that pertained to him and he has returned me evil for good.

⁶ Surely every man walks in a shadow. Surely they are in an uproar in vain. He heaps up and does not know who will gather them.

¹³ Surely in vain I have cleansed my heart and washed my hands in innocence,

⁵ Every word of God is tried. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. ⁶ Do not add to his words, lest he reprove you and you are found a liar.

² Do not be rash with your mouth and do not let your heart be hasty to utter anything before God. Because God is in heaven and you upon earth. Therefore let your words be few. ³ Because a dream comes the greatness of the task and a fool's voice with a multitude of words.
⁴ When you vow a vow to God, defer not to pay it, because he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow. ⁵ It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay. ⁶ Do not allow your mouth to cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger, that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your voice and destroy the work of your hands? ⁷ Because there are vanities in the multitude of dreams and in many words. But fear God.

¹³ Bring no more vain oblations. Incense is an abomination to me. New moon and Sabbath, the calling of assemblies–I cannot bear wickedness and the solemn assembly. ¹⁴ Your* new moons and your* appointed feasts my soul hates. They are a trouble to me. I am weary of bearing them.
¹⁵ And when you* spread forth your* hands, I will hide my eyes from you*. Yes, when you* make many prayers, I will not hear; your* hands are full of blood.

¹ Cry aloud, spare not. Lift up your voice like a trumpet and declare to my people their transgression and to the house of Jacob their sins. ² Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways. As a nation that did righteousness and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.
³ Why have we fasted, they say and you do not see? We have afflicted our soul and you take no knowledge. Behold, in the day of your* fast you* find pleasure and exact from all your* laborers.

¹⁴ You* have said, It is vain to serve God and what profit is it that we have kept his charge and that we have walked mournfully before Jehovah of hosts?

⁷ But they are worshiping me in futility, teaching as their teachings–the commandments of men.’

² through which you are also saved, if you are holding-onto the good-news of the word which I proclaimed to you–unless you vainly believed.

¹⁸ Let no one arbitrate against you, willing it so in your humility and in a religion of the messengers; stepping you^\'b0 further into the things which he has not seen, being vainly arrogant by his fleshly mind, ¹⁹ and not holding-fast to the head, from whom all the body is being supplied and knitted together through the joints and ligaments, which is growing with the growth of God.
²⁰ If you died together with Christ away from the fundamental principles of the world, why, (as though living in the world), are you submissive to its decrees: ²¹ do not touch; do not taste; do not handle; ²² (which things in the using are all leading to corruption), according to the commandments and teachings of men?

⁴ nor to take-heed to fables and unending genealogies, which provide more debates, rather than a stewardship of God which is in faith.

¹ But the Spirit expressly says, In later times some will be withdrawing from the faith, taking-heed to misleading spirits and teachings of demons, ² through the hypocrisy from the speakers of lies, having been branded in their own conscience; ³ forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from foods, which God created for reception with thanksgiving to the believing and those who have fully known the truth,

⁶ If you suggest these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of the faith and of the good teaching in which you have followed closely. ⁷ But renounce the profane and old-wives’fables and exercise yourself to godliness;

⁹ Do not be carried away by various and strange teachings; for it is good that the heart be confirmed in gratitude; not by foods, in which those who walked have not been profited.

²⁰ But O vain man, are you willing to know that faith is dead without works?

¹⁸ I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone should add onto them, God might add onto him the wounds which have been written in this book.

²⁸ And Micaiah said, If you return at all in peace, Jehovah has not spoken by me. And he said, Hear, you* peoples, all of you*.

⁹ And he said, Go and tell this people, Hear indeed, but do not understand and see you* indeed, but do not perceive.

³ Incline your* ear and come to me. Hear and your* soul will live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you*, even the faithful holy things of David.

¹⁹ everyone hearing the word of the kingdom and not understanding it, then the evil one comes and takes away what has been sown in his heart. This is he who was sown beside the road.

¹⁵ Therefore, whenever you behold the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, (let the one who is reading perceive),

¹⁴ And having called to him all the crowd again, he said to them, All, hear me and understand. ¹⁵ There is nothing outside the man, that traveling into him is able to desecrate him, but the things which travel out from him, those are the things which defile the man.

⁴⁵ But while all the people were listening, he said to his disciples, ⁴⁶ Take-heed, stay away from the scribes, who wish to walk in long robes and love greetings in the marketplaces and foremost seats in the synagogues and foremost-places in the suppers; ⁴⁷ who are devouring widow’s houses, and are praying long prayers for a pretext. These will be receiving even-more condemnation.

⁴⁵ Then he opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.

¹⁷ in order that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him,

⁹ Because of this, we also do not cease praying and asking on your behalf from the day we heard it, in order that you may be filled with the full knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and intelligence,

⁵ But if anyone of you is deficient of wisdom, let him ask from God, who gives to all liberally and does not reproach any, and it will be given to him.

⁷ His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.

² They speak falsehood everyone with his neighbor. They speak with a flattering lip and with a double heart.

² Your tongue devises wickedness, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
³ You love evil more than good and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. ⁴ You love all devouring words, O you deceitful tongue.

³ The wicked are estranged from the womb. They go-astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. ⁴ Their poison is like the poison of a serpent, like the deaf adder that stops her ear,

²³ Whom have you defied and blasphemed? And against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Even against the Holy One of Israel.

³ For your* hands are defiled with blood and your* fingers with iniquity. Your* lips have spoken lies. Your* tongue mutters wickedness. ⁴ No man sues in righteousness and no man pleads in truth. They trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and bring forth wickedness. ⁵ They hatch adders' eggs and weave the spider's web. He who eats of their eggs dies and what is crushed breaks out into a viper.

¹³ transgressing and denying Jehovah and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
¹⁴ And justice is turned away backward and righteousness stands afar off. For truth has fallen in the street and uprightness cannot enter. ¹⁵ Yes, truth is lacking and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
And Jehovah saw it and it displeased him that there was no justice.

³ And they bend their tongue–their bow–for falsehood and they have grown strong in the land, but not for truth. For they proceed from evil to evil and they do not know me, says Jehovah.
⁴ You* take heed each one of his neighbor and trust you* not in any brother, for every brother will utterly supplant and every neighbor will go about with gossipers. ⁵ And they will deceive each one his neighbor and will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They inwardly set up an ambush. ⁶ Your habitation is in the midst of deceit. Through deceit they refuse to know me, says Jehovah.

³⁴ Offspring of vipers! How are you, being evil, able to speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth is speaking. ³⁵ The good man out of his good treasure is casting out good things and the evil man out of his evil treasure is casting out evil things. ³⁶ But I am saying to you, that every idle declaration, whatever men speak, they will be giving an account in the day of judgment concerning it. ³⁷ For you will be made righteous from your words and you will be sentenced from your words.

¹⁸ But these things which are traveling from the mouth, come out from the heart, and they desecrate the man. ¹⁹ For out of the heart comes forth evil reasonings, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies. ²⁰ These things are what desecrate the man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not desecrate the man.

¹⁵ There is nothing outside the man, that traveling into him is able to desecrate him, but the things which travel out from him, those are the things which defile the man.

³⁸ Now when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed himself before a meal. ³⁹ But the Lord said to him, Now you, the Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but the inside of you is full from swindling and wickedness. ⁴⁰ Fools, he who made the outside, did he not also make the inside? ⁴¹ However, the things which are within you, give those as charity, and behold, all things are clean to you.

¹⁴ But Peter said, Not-so, Lord, because I have never eaten anything, common or unclean.
¹⁵ And a voice came to him again the second-time, What God has cleansed, you, do not make common.

⁸ But I said, Not-so, Lord, because anything common or unclean has never entered into my mouth.
⁹ But a voice answered me the second-time from heaven, What God has cleansed, you, do not make common.

¹³ ‘Their throat has been an opened burial chamber; they were treacherous with their tongues.’‘The poison of asps is under their lips.’ ¹⁴ ‘Whose mouth is full of evil-cursing and bitterness.’

¹⁴ I know, and have confidence in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is desecrated through itself, except to the one who counts something to be desecrated, to that one it is desecrated.

¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not about food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

²⁰ Do not tear-down the work of God because of food. All things indeed are clean, but it is evil to the man who eats through a stumbling block.

⁴ because every created thing of God is good and casting off nothing if it is received with thanksgiving, ⁵ for it is made holy through the word of God and through petition.

¹⁵ Indeed, all things are clean to the clean, but nothing is clean to those who have been defiled and are unbelieving, but both their mind and their conscience have been defiled.

⁵ So the tongue is also a little member and boasts of magnificent things. Behold, how-vast a forest it lights with such a small fire! ⁶ And the tongue is a fire, the world of unrighteousness. Thus the tongue is designated among our members as what stains the whole body and ignites the birth cycle and is ignited by hell. ⁷ For every nature of beasts and birds, of reptiles and sea-creatures, is tamed and has been tamed by human nature. ⁸ But no one from mankind is able to tame the tongue; it is an uncontrollable evil, full of deadly poison.

¹⁸ For while speaking flattering-words of futility, they entice (with the lusts of the flesh to unbridled-lusts) those who really had fled away from those who conduct themselves in error.

¹³ And the messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. I beseech you, let your word be like the word of one of them and speak good. ¹⁴ And Micaiah said, As Jehovah lives, what Jehovah says to me, that I will speak.

²⁷ But in order that we might not offend them, you travel to the sea and cast a fishhook, and lift out the fish that ascends first, and when you have opened its mouth, you will find a four-denarii coin. Take that, and give it to them in exchange-for you and me.

³² Do not become a stumbling block, either to Jews or to Greeks, or to the congregation of God; ³³ just-as I am also pleasing all people in all things, not seeking what is advantageous for me, but what is advantageous for many, in order that they may be saved.

³ giving no one a stumbling block in anything, in order that the service from us might not be blamed.

⁵ to whom, even for an hour, we did not yield to their subjection; in order that the truth of the good-news might remain with you.

¹⁷ But the wisdom which is from above is indeed first pure, thereafter is peaceful, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and non-pretended.

¹³ Men who are planted in the house of Jehovah will flourish in the courts of our God.

²¹ Your people also will all be righteous. They will inherit the land everlasting, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

⁴⁰ Therefore, just-like the darnels is collected and burned in fire; so it will be in the end of this world. ⁴¹ The Son of Man will be sending forth his messengers and they will be collecting out of his kingdom all the offenses and those who are practicing lawlessness,

² Every branch which is not bringing forth fruit in me, he takes it away and every branch which is bringing forth fruit, he prunes it, in order that it may bring forth more fruit.

⁶ If anyone is not abiding in me, he was cast outside like a branch and was dried up, and they gather them and cast them into the fire and it is burned.

⁹ For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s cultivation, God’s building.

¹² But if anyone is building on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, ¹³ the work of each one will become apparent. For the day will indicate it, because it is revealed in fire, and the fire will test the work of each one, of what sort it is. ¹⁴ If anyone’s work remains which he built upon it, he will be receiving a reward. ¹⁵ If the work of anyone will be burned, he will be forfeiting that work, but he himself will be saved, but so as through fire.

¹⁶ For those who lead this people make them go-astray and those who are led by them are destroyed.

¹⁹ Who is blind, but my servant, or deaf, as my messenger that I send? Who is blind as he who is at peace with me and blind as Jehovah's servant?

¹⁰ His watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.

³¹ The prophets prophesy falsely and the priests bear rule by their means. And my people love to have it so. And what will you* do in the end of it?

¹⁵ Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed, nor could they blush. Therefore they will fall among those who fall. At the time that I visit them they will be cast down, says Jehovah.

⁹ And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, Jehovah, have deceived that prophet. And I will stretch out my hand upon him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
¹⁰ And they will bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet will be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him,

¹⁷ Ephraim is joined to idols, let him alone.

⁶ Therefore it will be night to you*, that you* will have no vision. And it will be dark to you*, that you* will not divine. And the sun will go down upon the prophets and the day will be black over them. ⁷ And the seers will be put to shame and diviners confounded. Yes, they will all cover their lips, for there is no answer from God.

⁸ But you* are turned aside out of the way. You* have caused many to stumble in the law. You* have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁶ Woe to you, you blind guides, that say, Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated. ¹⁷ You are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that makes the gold holy? ¹⁸ And, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gift which is upon it, he is obligated. ¹⁹ You^\'b0 are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that makes the gift holy? ²⁰ Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it, and by all things upon it. ²¹ And he who swears by the temple, swears by it, and in the one who has dwelt in it. ²² And he who has sworn by the heaven, swears by the throne of God, and in the one who is sitting upon it.
²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and yet have left behind the weighty things of the law: justice and mercy and faith. You ought to do these, and not to have left behind those other things. ²⁴ You blind guides, who strain out the gnat and swallow the camel!

³⁹ Now he also spoke a parable to them: Is a blind person able to guide the blind? Will they not both be falling into a ditch?

⁵ incessant wranglings of men who have been corrupted in the mind and who have been deprived of the truth, supposing that godliness is a method to earnings. Withdraw yourself from such.

¹ But false prophets happened to be also among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will be smuggling in sects of destruction, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing quick destruction upon themselves.

¹⁷ These people are waterless springs and clouds driven by a gale of wind to whom the blackness of darkness has been kept forever.

²⁰ And the beast was clutched and with him the false prophet who made the signs in his sight, in which he misled those who had received the mark of the beast and those who are worshiping his image. The two were cast while living into the lake of fire which is burning in brimstone.

¹⁵ The dogs and the sorcerers and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices a lie are outside.

³⁶ Then Jesus, having left the crowds, went into the house and his disciples came to him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnels of the field.

³⁴ But he was not speaking to them without a parable, but privately he was interpreting all things for his disciples.

¹⁷ And when he entered into the house away from the crowd, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.

²⁹ Then his disciples say to him, Behold, now you speak frankly and are not speaking in a metaphor.

⁹ Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message? Those who are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breasts?
¹⁰ For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.

⁵¹ And Jesus says to them, Have you understood all these things?
They say to him, Yes, Lord.

¹⁰ And he called to him the crowd and said to them, Hear and understand!

⁹ Do you not yet perceive, nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

¹¹ How is it that you do not perceive that I did not speak to you concerning bread, but to take-heed, stay away from the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?

⁵² For they did not understand what happened on the loaves, for their heart was hardening.

¹⁸ And he says to them, So are you also without understanding? Are you not perceiving, that whatever is outside, travels into the man, is not able to desecrate him;

¹⁷ And Jesus knew it and says to them, Why are you reasoning so, because you have no bread? Do you still not perceive, nor understand? Do you still have your heart hardened? ¹⁸ Having eyes, do you not see? Having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?

³² But they were not considering the declaration, and were afraid to ask him.

⁴⁵ But they were not considering this declaration, and it was hiding from them, in order that they might not comprehend it, and they were afraid to ask him concerning this declaration.

³⁴ And they understood none of these things, and this declaration was being hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were said.

¹² For you also ought to be teachers by now because of the time, but you again have need of one to teach you what are the fundamental principles of the beginning oracles of God, and have become ones having need of milk and not of solid nourishment.

²⁷ And they broke down the pillar of Baal and broke down the house of Baal and made it an out-house to this day.

¹⁹ Every tree which is not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. ²⁰ Consequently, you will fully know them from their fruits.

⁴⁵ The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart.

¹³ Foods are for the belly and the belly is for foods, but God will be doing-away-with both this and these things. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

⁶ And the tongue is a fire, the world of unrighteousness. Thus the tongue is designated among our members as what stains the whole body and ignites the birth cycle and is ignited by hell.

¹³ As says the proverb of the ancients, Out of the wicked comes forth wickedness, but my hand will not be upon you.

³ The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good.

¹² A worthless person, a man of wickedness, is he who walks with a perverse mouth,

³² The lips of a righteous man knows what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverseness.

² The tongue of the wise utters knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours out folly.

²⁸ The heart of a righteous man meditates to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.

³⁴ Offspring of vipers! How are you, being evil, able to speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth is speaking.

¹¹ Not what enters into the mouth desecrates the man, but what is traveling from the mouth, this desecrates the man.

²² But he says to him, I will be judging you out of your own mouth, you evil bondservant. You knew that I am an austere man, lifting up from what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow?

Thus the tongue is designated among our members as what stains the whole body and ignites the birth cycle and is ignited by hell. ⁷ For every nature of beasts and birds, of reptiles and sea-creatures, is tamed and has been tamed by human nature. ⁸ But no one from mankind is able to tame the tongue; it is an uncontrollable evil, full of deadly poison. ⁹ We are giving-thanks to God and the Father with it and we curse men with it, those who have become according to the likeness of God. ¹⁰ A thanks and a curse comes out of the same mouth. My brethren, these things do not need to become so!

⁵ And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to him, and authority to make war forty-two months was given to him. ⁶ And he opened his mouth to blaspheme toward God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle, and blaspheme those who are residing in the heaven.

⁵ And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only continually evil.

²¹ And Jehovah smelled the sweet aroma. And Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for the sake of man, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. I will not again kill* everything living, as I have done.

¹¹³ I hate those who are of a double mind, but I love your law.

²³ Keep your heart with all diligence, because out of it are the things of life.

¹⁴ in whose heart is perverseness, who devises evil continually, who sows discord.

¹⁵ Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction will drive it far from him.

⁹ The thought of folly is sin. And the scoffer is an abomination to men.

⁷ Let the wicked man forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts. And let him return to Jehovah and he will have mercy upon him and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

⁷ Their feet run to evil and they make haste to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of wickedness. Desolation and destruction are in their paths.

¹⁴ O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long will your evil thoughts lodge within you?

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it?

⁴ And Jesus, having seen their contemplations said, Why are you contemplating evil in your hearts?

²² Therefore repent from this, your malice, and beseech God; if, then, the deliberation of your heart will be forgiven to you.

¹⁰ just-as it has been written, ‘There is none righteous, not even one. ¹¹ No one is understanding. No one is seeking out God. ¹² They all shunned God. They were becoming-useless at the same time. No one is practicing kindness; no one is insofar as even one.’ ¹³ ‘Their throat has been an opened burial chamber; they were treacherous with their tongues.’‘The poison of asps is under their lips.’ ¹⁴ ‘Whose mouth is full of evil-cursing and bitterness.’ ¹⁵ ‘Their feet are swift to shed blood; ¹⁶ downfall and miseries are in their ways; ¹⁷ and they did not know the way of peace.’ ¹⁸ ‘There is no fear of God in front of their eyes.’
¹⁹ Now we know how-much, as many things as the law says, it is speaking to those in the law; in order that every mouth may be sealed and all the world may become under the sentence of God;

¹⁸ For I know what is a good thing is not dwelling in me, (that is, in my flesh); for it is laying beside me to will it, but I am not finding what is a good thing to work it.

⁷ because the mindset of the flesh is hostility toward God; for it is not subject to the law of God, for neither is it able to be; ⁸ and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are apparent, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, unbridled-lusts, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousies, furies, selfish ambitions, dissensions, sects, ²¹ envies, murders, drunkenness, revelings and things similar to these things; which I am telling to you beforehand, also just-as I foretold to you, that those who are practicing such things–they will not be inheriting the kingdom of God!

¹ Even you were dead in your trespasses and sins, ² in which you previously walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit which now is working in the sons of disobedience; ³ among whom we also all conducted ourselves previously in the lusts of our flesh, practicing the wills of the flesh and of the mind and we were children of wrath by nature, even as the rest.

² to blaspheme no one, to not be quarrelsome, to be gentle, showing all meekness toward all men. ³ For we were also previously foolish, disobedient, being misled, serving in various lusts and sensual-delights, leading lives in malice and envy, spiteful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love of mankind had appeared: ⁵ he saved us (not from any works done in righteousness, which we practiced), but according to his mercy, through the full-washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;

¹³ Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted by God, for God is not temptable from evils, and he himself tempts no one. ¹⁴ But each person is tempted, when he is pulled away and enticed by his own lust. ¹⁵ Thereafter when this lust has conceived, it bears sin, and sin, when it has matured, gives-birth to death.

² Why are your disciples transgressing the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands whenever they eat bread.

²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you cleanse the outside of the cup and the plate, but they are full from swindling and unrighteousness inside. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the cup from within and the plate, in order that the outside of them might also become clean.

³ For the Pharisees and all the Jews, if they do not wash their hands scrubbing with the fist, do not eat, holding-fast the tradition of the elders; ⁴ and when coming from the marketplace, they do not eat if they do not immerse of cups and pint pitchers and brass kettles and cots.

³⁸ Now when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed himself before a meal. ³⁹ But the Lord said to him, Now you, the Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but the inside of you is full from swindling and wickedness. ⁴⁰ Fools, he who made the outside, did he not also make the inside?

¹⁶ Do you not know that you are a temple of God and the Spirit of God is dwelling in you? ¹⁷ If anyone corrupts the temple of God, God will have corruption for this one; for the temple of God is holy, which you are.

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not be inheriting the kingdom of God? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor pedophiles, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor the greedy ones, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will be inheriting the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some of you were these, but you were fully-washed, but you were made holy, but you were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin, whatever a man practices, is outside the body, but he who is fornicating, sins toward his own body. ¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? And you are not your own; ²⁰ for you were bought with a price. Glorify God in your body and in your spirit which is God’s!

³ But do not let fornication and all uncleanness or greed even be named among you, as is suitable to holy-ones; ⁴ and do not let obscenity, and foolish-talk or petty jesting, which are not proper, but rather thanksgiving. ⁵ For this you know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor greedy person, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God. ⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words; for because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.

⁸ But to the cowardly and unbelieving and sinners and detestable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and to all the false witnesses, their part will be in the lake which is burning with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

²⁷ And any desecrated thing or anyone practicing an abomination and a lie may never enter into it; except those who have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life may enter into it.

¹³ Zebulun will dwell at the haven of the sea and he will be for a haven of ships. And his border will be upon Sidon.

⁸ And Jehovah delivered them into the hand of Israel and they killed* them and chased them to great Sidon and to Misrephoth-maim and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward. And they killed* them until they left them none remaining.

⁶ all the inhabitants of the hill-country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians. I will drive them out from before the sons of Israel, only allot you it to Israel for an inheritance as I have commanded you.

²⁸ and Ebron and Rehob and Hammon and Kanah, even to great Sidon, ²⁹ and the border turned to Ramah and to the fortified city of Tyre and the border turned to Hosah. And the goings out of it were at the sea by the region of Achzib,

³¹ Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of Acco, nor the inhabitants of Sidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob,

⁵ Jesus sent forth these twelve apostles and commanded them, saying, Do not go into any road of the Gentiles and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans; ⁶ but travel rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

²¹ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles had happened in Tyre and Sidon which have happened in you, they would have repented long-ago in sackcloth and ashes. ²² However I say to you, It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. ²³ And you, Capernaum, who has been exalted to heaven, you will be stepping down to Hades, because if the miracles had happened in Sodom which have happened in you, it would have remained till today.

²⁴ And he stood up and went away from there, into the borders of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered into a house and wished no one to know it, and he was not able to elude them.


²⁵ For a woman, having heard things concerning him, whose young-daughter had an unclean spirit, came and fell down before his feet. ²⁶ Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she requested of him in order that he might cast forth the demon out of her daughter. ²⁷ But Jesus said to her, Allow the children first to be fed; for it is not good to take the children’s bread and cast it to the puppies.
²⁸ But she answered and said to him, Yes, Lord; for even the puppies underneath the table eat of the children’s crumbs.
²⁹ And he said to her, Because of these words, go; the demon has come out of your daughter. ³⁰ And she went away to her house and found the child put upon her cot, the demon having gone forth.

¹ Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness. You have enlarged me in distress. Have mercy upon me and hear my prayer.

² Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah, because I am withered away. O Jehovah, heal me, because my bones are troubled.

¹² And the daughter of Tyre will adore him with a gift. The rich among the people will entreat your favor.

⁶ not to many peoples of a strange speech and of a hard language, whose words you cannot understand.
Surely, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you.

The book of lineage of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham:

⁸ Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance. ⁹ Do not think to say among yourselves, We have Abraham for our father; for I say to you, that God is able to lift up children out of these stones for Abraham.

²⁴ And the report of him went forth into the whole of Syria and they brought to him all who were ill, held by various diseases and torments and demon-possessed and epileptic and paralytics, and he healed them.

²⁷ And Jesus passing by from there, two blind men followed him, crying out and saying, Show-mercy to us, son of David.

¹⁵ Lord, show-mercy to my son, because he is epileptic, and suffers evilly; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.

³⁰ And behold, two blind men sitting beside the road, having heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, saying, Lord, son of David, show-mercy to us! ³¹ But the crowd rebuked them, in order that they should be silent, but they were crying out the greatest, saying, Lord, son of David, show-mercy to us!

⁴² saying, What do you think concerning the Christ? Whose son is he?
They say to him, David’s.
⁴³ He says to them, Therefore how does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying, ⁴⁴ The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right, until I should place your enemies as the footstool of your feet? ⁴⁵ Therefore, if David calls him Lord, how is he his son?

¹⁹ But he answered and says, O unbelieving generation, until when shall I be with you? Until when shall I tolerate you? Bring him to me. ²⁰ And they brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell upon the earth. He was wallowing–foaming. ²¹ Now he asked his father, How much time has things like this happened to him?
And he said, From childhood. ²² And often it has cast him both into fire and into waters, in order that it might destroy him, but if you are able to do anything, help us and have compassion upon us.

¹³ and they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, show-mercy to us.

¹³ And the tax collector, standing from afar, was not even willing to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, God, be lenient to me, the sinner.

³⁸ And he cried out, saying, Jesus, son of David, show-mercy to me. ³⁹ And those who precede were rebuking him, in order that he should be silent, but he was crying out much more, Son of David, show-mercy to me!

⁴¹ Others were saying, This is the Christ. Others were saying, The Christ does not come out of Galilee, does he? ⁴² Did the Scripture not say that the Christ comes out of the seed of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?

⁷ And Joseph saw his brothers and he knew them, but made himself foreign to them and spoke roughly with them. And he said to them. From where do you* come? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.

² And you will remember all the way which Jehovah your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.

¹ To you, O Jehovah, I will call. My rock, do not be deaf to me, lest, if you are silent to me, I become like those who go down into the pit.

⁸ Yes, when I cry and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.

¹⁵ Now when it became evening, his disciples came to him, saying, The place is desolate and the hour has already passed away; dismiss the crowds, in order that they may go away into the villages and buy food for themselves.

⁴⁷ And when he heard that it is Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, you, the son of David, show-mercy to me. ⁴⁸ And many were rebuking him, in order that he should be silent, but he was crying out much more, Son of David, show-mercy to me.

⁶ All we like sheep have gone-astray. We have turned every one to his own way and Jehovah has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

⁶ My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have made them go-astray. They have turned them away on the mountains. They have gone from mountain to hill. They have forgotten their resting-place. ⁷ All who found them have devoured them and their adversaries said, We are not guilty, because they have sinned against Jehovah, the habitation of righteousness, even Jehovah, the hope of their fathers.

⁵ And they were scattered because there was no shepherd. And they became food to all the beasts of the field and were scattered. ⁶ My sheep wandered through all the mountains and upon every high hill. Yes, my sheep were scattered upon all the face of the earth and there was none who searched or sought.

¹⁶ I will seek what was lost and will bring back what was driven away and will bind up what was broken and will strengthen what was sick, but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will feed them in justice.

²³ And I will set up one shepherd over them and he will feed them, even my servant David. He will feed them and he will be their shepherd.

³⁶ But when he saw the crowds, he had compassion concerning them, because they were fainting in spirit and were being tossed about, like sheep not having a shepherd.

⁴ What man out of you, having a hundred sheep and having lost one out of them, does not leave the ninety nine in the wilderness and travel to what has been lost, until he should find it? ⁵ And having found it, he places it upon his own shoulders, rejoicing. ⁶ And when he comes to his house, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice together with me, because I have found my sheep which has been lost.

²⁵ You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God covenanted with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed, all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ ²⁶ God, having raised up his young-servant Jesus, sent him to you first, blessing you in turning each of you away from your wickednesses.

⁴⁶ But Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you. But since you are thrusting it away from yourselves and are judging yourselves unworthy of everlasting life. Behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

⁸ But I am saying that Christ Jesus has become a servant of the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,

²⁶ And he said, Let me go, because the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go unless you bless me.

⁴ Yes, he had strength over the messenger and prevailed, as he wept and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel and there he spoke with us.

² And behold, a leper came to him, was worshiping him, saying, Lord, if you are willing, you are able to cleanse me.

³³ Now those in the ship came to him and, worshiped him, saying, You are truly the Son of God.

⁸ I say to you, Even if he will not rise and will be giving to him because he is his friend, yet because of his irreverence, having arisen, he will be giving him as many as he needs.


⁹ And I say to you, Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will be finding; knock and it will be opened to you. ¹⁰ For everyone who asks, receives; and he who is seeking, finds; and to the one who knocks, it will be opened.

¹ Now he also spoke a parable to them, to show that it is essential for them to always pray, and not to be depressed; ² saying: A certain judge was in a certain city, who did not fear God and did not revere man. ³ Now a widow was in that city, and she was coming often to him, saying, Avenge me of my opponent. ⁴ And he did not wish to at that time, but after these things, he said in himself, Even if I do not fear God, and do not revere man; ⁵ yet because this widow is harassing me, I will avenge her, in order that she may not pester me, coming often for an end of her opponent.
⁶ But the Lord said, Hear with understanding what the judge of the unrighteousness says about himself.
⁷ Now, should God not do the avenging of his chosen who are crying to him day and night? Also, should he not have patience upon them?
⁸ I say to you, that he will be doing the avenging on them quickly.
However, when the Son of Man comes, will he then be finding the faith upon the earth?

⁶ Do not give the holy thing s to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, lest they trample them down with their feet and having turned, they may rip at you.

²¹ And he said to me, Travel on, because I will be sending you forth to the Gentiles who are afar.
²² Now they were hearing him till this speech, and they lifted up their voice, saying, Take such a one away from the earth; for it was not proper for him to live.

⁴ who are Israelites, whose is the sonship and the glory and the covenants and the institution of the law and the divine service and the promises;

¹⁵ We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles;

¹² that you were separate from Christ at the time, having been alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and were godless in the world.

² Beware of the dogs; beware of the evil workers; beware of the mutilation.

¹⁰ I am not worthy of the least of all the loving kindnesses and of all the truth, which you have shown to your servant, because with my staff I passed over this Jordan and now I have become two companies.

⁴ Behold, I am of small account. What shall I answer you? I lay my hand upon my mouth. ⁵ I have spoken once and I will not answer, yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.

² I know that you can do all things and that no purpose of your can be restrained. ³ Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
⁴ Hear, I beseech you and I will speak, I will ask of you and declare you to me. ⁵ I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you. ⁶ Therefore I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes.

⁴ Against you, you only, I have sinned and done what is evil in your sight, that you may be justified when you speak and may prevail when you are criticized.
⁵ Behold, I was brought out in iniquity and my mother conceived me in sin.

⁶³ that you may remember and be confounded and never open your mouth any more, because of your shame, when I have forgiven you all that you have done, says the lord Jehovah.

¹⁸ O my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and behold our desolations and the city which is called by your name. For we do not present our supplications before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies' sake.

⁴⁵ Do this that you may become sons of your Father who is in the heavens, because his sun rises upon the evil and the good and it rains upon the righteous and the unrighteous.

⁸ And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not sufficient that you should come under my roof, but only speak by word and my young-servant will be healed.

⁶ Now Jesus was traveling together with them. Now already, when he was not far distant from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, Lord, do not be bothered; for I am not sufficient that you should enter under my roof. ⁷ Hence, not even I myself deemed it worthy to come to you, but say it with a word, and my young-servant will be healed.

¹⁸ After having risen up, I will be traveling to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned at heaven, and in your sight. ¹⁹ I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants. \ulnone\nosupersub

²¹ and desiring to be fed from the falling crumbs of the rich man’s table. But even the dogs, coming to him, were licking his sores.

⁴⁰ But, the other answered and was rebuking him, saying, Do you not fear even God, because you are in the same condemnation? ⁴¹ And we indeed suffer righteously; for we are receiving worthy payment of what we practiced, but this one practiced nothing improper.
⁴² And he said, Jesus, remember me Lord, whenever you come in your kingdom.

⁴ Let it not happen! Now, let God become true, but everyone a liar; just-as it has been written, ‘ That you should be made righteous in your words and may overcome when you are judged.’

¹⁹ Now we know how-much, as many things as the law says, it is speaking to those in the law; in order that every mouth may be sealed and all the world may become under the sentence of God;

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews only and not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also.

¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, being rich toward all who are calling upon him;

⁸ and last of all, like to the premature-baby, he was seen also to me. ⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who is not sufficient to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the congregation^* of believers of God.

⁸ This grace was given to me the least of all the holy-ones, to proclaim the good-news of the untraceable riches of Christ among the Gentiles;

¹⁹ and to know the love of the Christ which surpasses knowledge, in order that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.

¹³ even though I was a former blasphemer and a persecutor and an insolent man, but I was shown-mercy, because I did it being ignorant in unbelief; ¹⁴ and the grace of our Lord overwhelmed me with the faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Faithful is the word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.

³⁰ Therefore Jehovah, the God of Israel, says, I said indeed that your house and the house of your father, should walk before me everlasting, but now Jehovah says, Be it far from me, for those who honor me I will honor and those who despise me will be lightly esteemed.

¹⁵ Behold, he will kill me; I have no hope. Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.

¹⁰ But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out as gold.

¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry and will save them.

³² For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

¹⁰ Now when Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to those who followed, Assuredly I am saying to you, I have not found so-great a faith, not even in Israel.

¹³ Now Jesus said to the centurion, Go, and as you have believed, let it happen for you. And his young-servant was healed in that hour.

²² Now Jesus having turned, saw her, and said, Daughter, have courage; your faith has saved you. And the woman was cured from that hour.

²⁹ Then he touched their eyes, saying, Let it happen for you according to your faith. ³⁰ And their eyes were opened. And Jesus scolded them, saying, See that you^\'b0 let no one know it.

³¹ Now Jesus immediately stretched out his hand, and grabbed him, and says to him, You of small faith, why were you skeptical?

³⁴ And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace and be healthy from your disorder.

²³ Now Jesus said to him, If you are able to believe. All things are possible to the one who believes.
²⁴ And immediately the father of the child cried out with tears and said, I believe; Lord, help me with my unbelief.

⁹ Now having heard these things, Jesus marveled at him and turned and said to the crowd who followed him, I say to you, Not even in Israel, have I found so-great a faith.

⁵⁰ But he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you. Travel in peace.

⁵ And the apostles said to the Lord, Add to our faith.

⁴² And Jesus said to him, Recover your sight. Your faith has saved you. ⁴³ And instantly he recovered his sight and was following him, glorifying God. And all the people, having seen it, gave praise to God.

⁵⁰ Jesus says to him, Travel on; your son lives.
And the man believed the word in which Jesus spoke to him, and he was traveling on.
⁵¹ Now already while going down, his bondservants encountered him and reported, saying that his boy lives. ⁵² Therefore, he inquired from them the hour in which he had improved. And they said to him, The fever left him yesterday in the seventh hour. ⁵³ Therefore the father knew that it was in that hour in which Jesus said to him, Your son lives. And he himself, and his whole house believed.

¹⁹ And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already sterile, (being nearly a hundred years), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. ²⁰ But he did not doubt through unbelief at the promise of God, but became empowered through faith, having given glory to God,

³ Brethren, we always ought to thank God concerning you, just-as it is worthy, because your faith is growing substantially, and the love of each one of you all toward one another is increasing;

³ and the Arabah to the sea of Chinneroth, eastward and to the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, eastward, the way to Beth-jeshimoth and on the south, under the slopes of Pisgah,

¹ But there will be no gloom to her who was in constraint. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the latter time he has made it glorious, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles.

¹⁸ Now walking beside the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

¹ Now having seen the crowds, he went up into the mountain and having sat down, his disciples came to him.

² And large crowds were gathered to see him, so-that he stepped onto a ship and was sitting, and all the crowd stood upon the beach.

²⁹ And Jesus, having proceeded from there, went beside the sea of Galilee, and he went up into the mountain and was sitting there.

They tossed them beside the feet of Jesus, and he healed them; ³¹ so-that the crowds marveled, seeing the mute speaking; the crippled healthy; the lame walking; and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

¹⁶ Now walking beside the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother, who are Simon’s sons, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen.

³¹ And again, having gone out from the borders of Tyre and Sidon, he came to the sea of Galilee, between the borders of Decapolis.


³² And they bring to him a speaking impaired deaf man and they plead with him in order that he might lay his hand on him. ³³ And having taken him away from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and he spits, and touched his tongue; ³⁴ and looking up to heaven, he groaned and says to him, Ephphatha. (That is, Be opened.) ³⁵ And immediately his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosed, and he was speaking correctly. ³⁶ And he ordered them in order that they should tell no one, but as many things as he was ordering them not to tell, rather, they were preaching it even-more.
³⁷ And they were being abundantly astounded, saying, He has done all things well; he makes even the deaf to hear, and the mute to speak.

¹ Now it happened, while the crowd jammed against him to hear the word of God, that he was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret;

¹ After these things, Jesus went away to the area beyond-that of the sea of Galilee, to the sea of Tiberias.

²³ (but other small-boats came from Tiberias near to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given-thanks).

¹ After these things, Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples upon the sea of Tiberias, and he appeared thus.

³ who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,

⁵ Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. ⁶ Then the lame man will leap as a male-deer and the tongue of the mute will sing. For waters in the wilderness will break out and streams in the desert.

²³ And Jesus was going around the whole of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good-news of the kingdom and healing every kind of disease and every kind of illness among the people. ²⁴ And the report of him went forth into the whole of Syria and they brought to him all who were ill, held by various diseases and torments and demon-possessed and epileptic and paralytics, and he healed them.

⁴ And Jesus answered and said to them, When you travel back, report to John what you hear and see: ⁵ the blind recover their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the poor have the good-news proclaimed to them.

³⁵ And when the men of that place recognized him, they sent word into the whole region around and brought to him all those who have an ill ness, ³⁶ and they were pleading with him in order that they might only touch the hem of his garment and as many as touched it, were cured.

³² Now when it became evening, when the sun set, they were bringing to him all who were ill and those who were demon-possessed. ³³ And the whole city was gathered together next to the door. ³⁴ And he healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons, and he was not allowing the demons to speak, because they knew him.

⁵⁴ and coming out of the ship, immediately the people recognized him.
⁵⁵ Having ran around that whole region around there, they began to carry around those who were ill upon their pallets, where they were hearing: he is over there. ⁵⁶ And wherever he was traveling, if into villages or cities or the rural-area, they were laying the sick in the marketplaces and was pleading with him, in order that if-only they might touch the hem of his garment, and as many as would touch him were being cured.

¹⁷ And he came down with them and stood upon the plain, and with a crowd of his disciples and a large multitude of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the sea-coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; ¹⁸ and those who were troubled by unclean spirits were being healed. ¹⁹ And all the crowd was seeking to touch him, because power was coming out from him and was healing them all.

²¹ He healed many of diseases and disorders and evil spirits in the same hour, and he granted to many of the blind to see.
²² And Jesus answered and said to them, When you have traveled back, report to John the things which you have seen and heard; that the blind recover their sight, the lame are walking, the lepers are cleansed and the mute hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the good-news proclaimed to them.

²² Men, Israelites! Hear these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man from God, having been shown to you by miracles and wonders and signs which God did through him in your midst, just-as you yourselves also know;

¹⁵ so-that they even carried out the sick in the streets to lay them upon cots and pallets, in order that, when Peter came by, if-only his shadow might overshadow anyone of them. ¹⁶ Now the multitudes were also coming together from the cities in and around Jerusalem, carrying sick ones, and those being troubled by unclean spirits, and all were being healed.

¹¹ And God was doing miracles (not obtainable from man) through the hands of Paul; ¹² so-that even handkerchiefs or aprons from the touch of his skin were carried away to those who were sick and the diseases were set-free from them and the evil spirits went out from them.

²⁸ And he said, Your name will be called Jacob no more, but Israel, because you have striven with God and with men and have prevailed.

²⁰ And he erected an altar there and called it El-Elohe-Israel.

¹⁰ And they saw the God of Israel. And there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone and as it were the very heaven for clearness.

¹⁵ And call upon me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you and you will glorify me.

²³ Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me. And to him who orders his way aright I will show the salvation of God.

⁸ Now when the crowds saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

³³ And when the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke and the crowds marveled, saying, This was never so seen in Israel.

⁸ Now if your hand or your foot is offending you, cut both of them off and cast them from you. It is good for you to enter into life lame or crippled, rather than to be cast into the everlasting fire, having two hands or two feet.

¹⁴ And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

¹² And he immediately arose, and having lifted up the pallet, went out in front of them all; so-that they were all astonished and glorified God, saying, We never saw this happen so.

³⁷ And they were being abundantly astounded, saying, He has done all things well; he makes even the deaf to hear, and the mute to speak.

⁴³ And if your hand offends you, cut it off. It is good for you to enter into life crippled, rather than having your two hands, and to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire,

¹⁶ Now fear took all and they were glorifying God, saying, A great prophet has arisen among us, and that God has visited his people.

¹³ But whenever you make a banquet, invite the poor, the disabled, the lame, the blind;

²¹ And that bondservant came and reported to his lord these things. Then the householder, being angry, said to his bondservant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and lead the poor and disabled and lame and blind in here.

¹⁵ Now one out of them, having seen that he was healed, turned back with a loud voice, glorifying God; ¹⁶ and he fell upon his face beside his feet, giving-thanks to him, and he was a Samaritan.
¹⁷ But Jesus answered and said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? ¹⁸ Was there no one found, except this immigrant, who returned to give glory to God?

⁴³ And instantly he recovered his sight and was following him, glorifying God. And all the people, having seen it, gave praise to God.

²⁴ So they summoned the man who was blind a second-time and said to him, Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.

² And a certain man, being lame from his mother’s womb, was being bore there, whom they were laying daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask charity from those who travel into the temple. ³ Seeing Peter and John being about to go into the temple, he asked them for charity. ⁴ But Peter, together with John, staring toward him, said, Look toward us. ⁵ Now he was taking-heed of them, expecting to receive something from them. ⁶ But Peter said, I do not possess silver and gold, but what I have, that I am giving to you. In the name of Jesus Christ from Nazareth, arise and walk. ⁷ And he clutched him by the right hand and lifted him up and instantly his feet and his ankles were strengthened. ⁸ And leaping up, he stood and was walking, and he entered together with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. ⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God. ¹⁰ And they were recognizing him, that this one was sitting to obtain charity at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with amazement and astonishment at what has befallen him.
¹¹ Now while the lame man, who had been healed, was holding-fast to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them on the porch which is called Solomon’s utterly amazed.

⁸ And there was a certain man, who was sitting in Lystra, being powerless in his feet, lame from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. ⁹ This one heard Paul speaking, who, having stared at him and seeing that he had faith to be cured, ¹⁰ said with a loud voice, Stand correctly upon your feet. And he was leaping up and walking.

²⁸ Then one of the people answered and said, Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats food this day and the people were faint.
²⁹ Then Jonathan said, My father has troubled the land. See, I beseech you*, how my eyes have been enlightened because I tasted a little of this honey. ³⁰ How much more, if perhaps the people had eaten freely today of the spoil of their enemies which they found? For now there has been no great slaughter among the Philistines.
³¹ And they killed* of the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon. And the people were very faint,

¹¹ And they found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David and gave him bread. And he ate and they gave him water to drink. ¹² And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. And when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him, for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights.

³² For the Gentiles are seeking after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have needs of all these things. ³³ But first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

⁴⁰ for just-as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea-creature; so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

¹⁴ And when Jesus went out, he saw a large crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick. ¹⁵ Now when it became evening, his disciples came to him, saying, The place is desolate and the hour has already passed away; dismiss the crowds, in order that they may go away into the villages and buy food for themselves.
¹⁶ But Jesus said to them, They have no need to go away; you, give them food to eat!
¹⁷ But they say to him, We do not have anything here except five loaves and two fish.
¹⁸ Now he said, Bring them here to me. ¹⁹ And he commanded the crowds to recline upon the grass, and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he gave-thanks and broke them, and he gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples then gave to the crowds. ²⁰ And they all ate and were fed, and they took up what was leftover of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. ²¹ Now those eating were approximately five thousand men, plus women and children.

³⁴ Now Jesus, having compassion, touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes recovered their sight and they followed him.

⁶³ saying, Lord, we remember what that misleader said, while still living, I will arise after three days.

¹ The crowd was enormous in those days, and they do not have anything to eat. Jesus, having called to him his disciples, says to them, ² I have compassion upon the crowd, because they already remain with me for three days and do not have anything that they might eat. ³ And if I dismiss them starving to their house, they will be fainting on the road; for some of them have come from far away.
⁴ And his disciples answered him, From where shall anyone be able to feed these men bread here in the wilderness?
⁵ And he asked them, How many loaves do you have?
Now they said, Seven.
⁶ And he commanded the crowd to lean-back upon the soil. And he took the seven loaves, and having given-thanks, he broke them and was giving them to his disciples, in order that they might place them beside them, and they placed them beside the crowd. ⁷ And they were holding a few small-fish, and having given-thanks, he said to his disciples to also place these beside them. ⁸ Now they ate and were fed, and they took up an abundance of broken pieces–seven baskets. ⁹ Now those who had eaten were approximately four thousand, and he dismissed them.


¹⁰ And immediately he stepped into the ship with his disciples and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

¹³ And the Lord, having seen her, had compassion upon her and said to her, Do not weep.

²⁹ And do not seek what you might eat or what you might drink, and do not be in anxious suspense. ³⁰ For the nations of the world are seeking after all these things, but your Father knows that you have need of these things.

³³ Now till it was about to become day, Paul was encouraging them all to take some nourishment, saying, Today is the fourteenth day that you were expecting to arrive; you are continuing without food, having taken nothing to eat for yourselves.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high-priest who is unable to sympathize together with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted according to all things according to our likeness, yet without sin.

²¹ And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen and you have said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month. ²² Shall flocks and herds be slain for them, to suffice them? Or will all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?

⁴² And a man came from Baal-shalishah and brought the man of God bread of the first-fruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And he said, Give to the people that they may eat. ⁴³ And his servant said, What, should I set this before a hundred men? But he said, Give to the people that they may eat, for Jehovah says thus, They will eat and will leave of it. ⁴⁴ So he set it before them and they ate and left of it according to the word of Jehovah.

³⁷ But he answered and said to them, Give them something to eat.
And they say to him, Should we go away and buy two hundred denarii worth of loaves, and might give them that to eat?

⁴ And his disciples answered him, From where shall anyone be able to feed these men bread here in the wilderness?
⁵ And he asked them, How many loaves do you have?
Now they said, Seven.

¹³ But he said to them, You, give them something to eat.
But they said, We have no more than five loaves and two fish; lest we travel and should buy food for all of these people.

⁵ Therefore Jesus, having lifted up his eyes and having seen that a large crowd is coming toward him, says to Philip, From where will we be buying bread, in order that these might eat? ⁶ But he said this, testing him; for he himself knew what he was about to do.
⁷ Philip answered him, Two hundred denarii’ worth of loaves is not enough for them, in order that each of them might take some bit.
⁸ One out of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, says to him, ⁹ There is one child here, who has five barley loaves and two little-fish, but what are these things among so-many?

⁹ Do you not yet perceive, nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up? ¹⁰ Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

⁴¹ But still disbelieving this from joy and marveling; he said to them, Do you have anything edible here? ⁴² Now they gave part of a broiled fish to him and part of the honeycomb.

⁹ Therefore as they stepped away to the land, they see a coal-fire laying there and a little-fish laying on it and bread.
¹⁰ Jesus says to them, Bring some of the little-fish which you have now clutched in the net.

³⁹ And he commanded them all to recline by groups; all the groups upon the pale-green grass. ⁴⁰ And they leaned-back in rows of a hundred apiece and rows of fifty apiece.

¹⁴ For they were approximately five thousand men.
Now he said to his disciples, Have them recline in parties, approximately fifty apiece. ¹⁵ And they did so and they all reclined. ¹⁶ Now he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he gave-thanks and broke them, and was giving them to the disciples to place beside the crowd.

¹⁰ But Jesus said, Make^*\'b0 the people lean-back. Now much grass was in the place. Therefore the men reclined, approximately five thousand in number.

¹³ As soon as you* have come into the city, you* will immediately find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people will not eat until he comes, because he graces the sacrifice, and afterwards those who are bidden eat. Therefore now you* get up, for at this time you* will find him.

¹⁹ And he commanded the crowds to recline upon the grass, and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he gave-thanks and broke them, and he gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples then gave to the crowds.

²⁶ Now while eating, Jesus, having taken the bread, and having given-thanks, broke it, and was giving it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is my body. ²⁷ And having taken the cup and given-thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you;

¹⁷ And he accepted a cup, and having given-thanks, he said, Take this and divide it with yourselves.

¹⁹ And he took bread and having given-thanks, he broke it and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given on your behalf. Practice this in my remembrance.

³⁰ And it happened, while he was reclining with them at the table, and having taken the bread, he gave-thanks and breaking it he was giving it to them.

¹¹ Now Jesus took the loaves, and having given-thanks, he distributed it to the disciples and then to the disciples who had reclined; also likewise from the little-fish as many as they were wishing to eat.

³⁵ Now having said these things and having taken bread, he gave-thanks to God in the sight of all, and he broke it and began to eat.

⁶ He who is mindful of the day, is mindful of it to the Lord; and he who is not mindful of the day, is not mindful of it to the Lord; and he who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives-thanks to God. And he who does not eat, he does not eat to the Lord, and gives-thanks to God.

³¹ Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or if you are doing anything, do all to the glory of God.

³ forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from foods, which God created for reception with thanksgiving to the believing and those who have fully known the truth, ⁴ because every created thing of God is good and casting off nothing if it is received with thanksgiving,

⁹ Because he satisfies the longing soul and he fills the hungry soul with good,

³³ And his disciples say to him, From where can we buy so-many loaves for us in the wilderness, so-then to feed so-great a crowd?

⁸ Now they ate and were fed, and they took up an abundance of broken pieces–seven baskets. ⁹ Now those who had eaten were approximately four thousand, and he dismissed them.

¹⁹ When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you lift up?
They say to him, Twelve.
²⁰ Now when the seven to the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you lift up?
Now they said, Seven.
²¹ And he said to them, How do you not yet understand?

⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things, and he has sent the rich away empty.

²² And immediately, Jesus urged the disciples to step into the ship, and to precede him to the area beyond-that, until he should dismiss the crowds.

¹⁰ And immediately he stepped into the ship with his disciples and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
