2 And immediately many were gathered together, so-that it was no longer possible to make room, not even next to the door, and he was speaking the word to them.
3 And they come, carrying to him a paralytic, lifted up by four men. \ulnone\nosupersub 4 And when they were not able to draw near to him because of the crowd, they unroofed the roof where he was. And having dug out a hole in it, they lowered the pallet upon which the paralytic was laying. 5 Now Jesus saw their faith and says to the paralytic, Son, your sins have been forgiven to you.
6 But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7 Why is this man speaking blasphemies so? Who is able to forgive sins except one, our God?
8 And immediately Jesus, having fully known in his spirit that they reason so in themselves, said to them, Why are you reasoning these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier to say to the paralytic, Your sins have been forgiven; or to say, Arise, and lift up your pallet and walk? 10 But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority upon the earth to forgive sins (he says to the paralytic), 11 I say to you, Arise and lift up your pallet and go to your house.
