Micah 3:1-4

1 And I said, Hear, I beseech you*, you* heads of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel. 4 The best of them is as a brier. The most upright is worse than a thorn hedge. The day of your watchmen, even your visitation, has come. Now will be their perplexity.

Zephaniah 3:3-5

3 Her rulers in the midst of her are roaring lions. Her judges are evening wolves. They leave nothing till the morrow. 4 Her prophets are airy and treacherous men. Her priests have profaned the sanctuary. They have done violence to the law.
5 Jehovah in the midst of her is righteous. He will not do unrighteousness. Every morning he brings his justice to light. He does not fail, but the unjust man knows no shame.

Malachi 2:7

7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge and they should seek the law at his mouth. For he is the messenger of Jehovah of hosts.
