¹ Hence, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus Christ, the Apostle and High-Priest of our confession; ² who was faithful to the one who made him such, as Moses also was in his whole house. ³ For he has been deemed worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as the one who constructed the house has more honor than the house. ⁴ For every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God. ⁵ And Moses indeed was faithful in his whole house as a bondservant for a testimony of the things which will be spoken later; ⁶ but Christ was faithful as a son, over his house; whose house we are, if indeed we hold-onto our boldness and the boasting of our hope steadfast till the end. ⁷ Hence, as the Holy Spirit says, ‘Today if you hear his voice, ⁸ do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, according to the day of the testing in the wilderness, ⁹ where your fathers tested me, they proved me, and then saw my works forty years. ¹⁰ Hence I was displeased with that generation and said, They themselves are habitually misled in their heart s, but they did not know my ways. ¹¹ As I swore in my wrath, they will not be entering into my rest.’ ¹² Beware brethren, lest there will be an evil heart of unbelief in anyone of you, in withdrawing away from the living God. ¹³ But encourage one another every day, until what is called today; in order that not anyone of you may be hardened by the deception of sin. ¹⁴ For we have become companions of the Christ, if indeed we hold-onto the beginning of our firmness steadfast till the end; ¹⁵ while it is said, ‘If you hear his voice today, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.’ ¹⁶ For some who had heard it rebelled. But was it not all those who came out of Egypt through Moses? ¹⁷ And with whom was he displeased for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness? ¹⁸ Now to whom did he swear that they will not be entering into his rest, except to the disobedient? ¹⁹ And we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.

⁴ Jehovah has sworn and will not repent. You are a everlasting priest after the order of Melchizedek.

³ The ox knows his owner and the donkey his master's crib, but Israel does not know; my people does not consider.

¹² And the harp and the lute, the tambourine and the pipe and wine, are in their feasts, but they do not regard the work of Jehovah, nor have they considered the operation of his hands.

²⁰ that they may see and know and consider and understand together, that the hand of Jehovah has done this and the Holy One of Israel has created it.

³ Therefore, you son of man, prepare stuff for moving and move by day in their sight. And you will move from your place to another place in their sight. It may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

²⁸ Because he considers and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he will surely live. He will not die.

⁵ Now therefore Jehovah of hosts says thus: Consider your* ways.

¹⁵ And now, I beseech you*, consider from this day and backward, before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of Jehovah.

²¹ Therefore Jesus said to them again, Peace to you; just-as the Father has sent me; I am also sending you.

²⁷ Thereafter he says to Thomas, Bring your finger here and behold the hands, and bring your hand here and put it into my ribs and do not become unbelieving, but become believing.

⁶ among whom you are also called of Jesus Christ. ⁷ To all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called holy-ones: grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁸ Now we know that all things work together toward good, to those who love God, to those who are an invited one according to his purpose. ²⁹ Because, whom he knew beforehand, he also predetermined, one transformed to the image of his Son, that he himself might be the firstborn among many brethren; ³⁰ and whom he predetermined, he also invited these and whom he invited, he also made these righteous and whom he made righteous, he also glorified these.

²⁴ whom he also invited, not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles?

¹⁷ But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became a fellow partner of the root and of the plumpness of the olive tree among them.

⁸ But I am saying that Christ Jesus has become a servant of the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,

²⁷ For they were delighted and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles shared in the spiritual things of them, they owe it to them also to minister to them in the fleshly things.

² to the congregation of God which is in Corinth–those who have been made holy in Christ Jesus, called ones, holy-ones, together with all who are calling upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

²³ But I am doing this because of the good-news, in order that I might become a fellow partner of it.

¹⁷ Because we, who are many, are one bread, one body; for we all are partaking from the one bread.

⁷ knowing that, just-as you are partners of the sufferings, so you^\'b0 are also of the comfort.

⁶ The mystery is that the Gentiles are to be joint heirs and a joint body and joint partakers of his promise in the Christ through the good-news,

¹ Therefore, I, the prisoner in the Lord, am encouraging you to walk worthily of the calling in which you were called,

⁴ There is one body and one Spirit, just-as you were also called in one hope of your calling;

¹⁴ I am pursuing according to the goal line toward the prize of the upward calling of God in Christ Jesus.

¹² giving-thanks to the Father, who made us sufficient for the part of the inheritance of the holy-ones in the light.

²² in the body of his flesh through his death, to present you holy and unblemished and irreproachable in his sight;

¹² Therefore as chosen ones of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, patience,

¹² and testifying, that you should walk worthy of God, who is calling you into his own kingdom and glory.

²⁷ I am imploring you by the Lord that the letter be read to all the holy brethren.

¹¹ For which, we are also always praying concerning you, in order that our God might deem you worthy of your calling, and might fulfill every delight of goodness, and every work of faith in power,

¹⁴ to which he called you through our good-news, for the acquisition of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

² But those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren, but rather let them serve them, because they are believing and beloved who are being helped by your good work. Teach and encourage these things.

¹² Fight the good fight of the faith, grab the everlasting life, to which you were called and professed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

⁹ who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times everlasting,

⁷ Perceive the things I am saying; for the Lord may give you intelligence in all things.

¹¹ For both he who is making holy and those who are made holy are all from one. Because of which case, he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

¹⁷ Hence he was obligated to have been similar to his brethren according to all things, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high-priest in the things pertaining to God, that he should make atonement for the sins of the people.

¹⁴ For we have become companions of the Christ, if indeed we hold-onto the beginning of our firmness steadfast till the end;

¹⁴ Therefore having a great high-priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has gone through the heavens, let us hold-fast our confession. ¹⁵ For we do not have a high-priest who is unable to sympathize together with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted according to all things according to our likeness, yet without sin.

¹ For every high-priest, being taken out of men, is designated to act on behalf of men in things pertaining to God, in order that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices on behalf of sins; ² he who is able to moderate his emotions with those who are ignorant and are misled, since he himself is also encompassed with weakness; ³ and because of this weakness, he is obligated to offer sacrifices on behalf of sins concerning the people so also concerning himself. ⁴ And not anyone takes the honor for himself, but he who is called by God, just-as was Aaron.
⁵ So the Christ also did not glorify himself to become a high-priest, but he who spoke to him, ‘You are my Son; I have fathered you today.’ ⁶ Just-as he also says in a different Scripture, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.’ ⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, has offered up both prayers and supplications with a strong outcry and tears to the one who was able to save him from death and having been heard from his piety. ⁸ Although being a Son, he learned obedience from the things which he suffered; ⁹ and having been completed, he became the cause of everlasting salvation to all those who are obeying him; ¹⁰ having been addressed by God, as high-priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

²⁰ where a forerunner Jesus entered on our behalf, having become a high-priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

²⁶ For such a high-priest was suitable to us, holy, guiltless, undefiled, has been separated away from sinners and became exalted from the heavens;

¹ Now a summation upon the things which we are saying is this : we have such a high-priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, ² a minister of the holy-places and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched and not man. ³ For every high-priest is designated, that he should offer both gifts and sacrifices; hence it is necessary for this one to also have something that he should offer.

¹¹ But Christ came as a high-priest of the future good things, through the greater and more complete tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,

²¹ and having a great priest over the house of God;

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s ownership, that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;

⁵ For so, the holy women, those also hoping in God, were previously adorning themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

¹ I am encouraging the elders the ones among you, (the fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, also the partner of the glory which is about to be revealed).

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who called you to his everlasting glory in Christ Jesus, when you have suffered a small time, he himself may frame you up, will establish, will strengthen and will found you.

³ As his divine power has been bestowed to us as a gift, (all things pertaining to life and godliness), through the full knowledge of the one who called us through glory and virtue; ⁴ through which he has bestowed to us as a gift, his precious and greatest promises; in order that you might become partners of the divine nature through these things, having fled away from the corruption in the world among its lust.
⁵ Now also for this same thing, besides having entered in all diligence, supply in your faith, virtue, and in your virtue, knowledge ⁶ and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, endurance, and in your endurance, godliness; ⁷ and in your godliness, brotherly-love, and in your brotherly-love, love. ⁸ For if these things are existing and increasing in you, none will designate you idle or unfruitful toward the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ For the one is blind in whom these things are not present, being short-sighted, having taken on himself the forgetfulness of the cleansing from his old sins.
¹⁰ Hence brethren, be more diligent to make your calling and choice steadfast; for, you may never trip someday while practicing these things;

³ What we have seen and have heard, we report to you, in order that you may also have fellowship with us, but also our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ;

¹ Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to the called one, those who have been made holy in God the Father and have been kept in Jesus Christ:

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb and the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those called and chosen and faithful with him.

²⁰ Be joyous over her: heaven and the holy-ones and the apostles and the prophets, because God has judged your condemnation from her
.

⁷ My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.

⁵ Behold, I have taught you* statutes and ordinances, even as Jehovah my God commanded me, that you* should do so in the midst of the land where you* go in to possess it.

⁶ And Samuel said to the people, It is Jehovah who appointed Moses and Aaron and who brought your* fathers up out of the land of Egypt.

³⁸ Because I have come down from heaven, not in order that I should do my own will, but do the will of the one who sent me. ³⁹ But this is the will of my Father who sent me, that of all that he has given me, I should not lose any out of it, but will raise it up in the last day. ⁴⁰ But this is the will of the one who sent me, in order that everyone who views the Son and believes in him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up in the last day.

¹⁸ He who speaks from himself is seeking his own glory, but he who is seeking the glory from the one who sent him, this one is true and no unrighteousness is in him.

²⁹ And he who sent me is with me; the Father has not left me alone, because I am always doing those things pleasing to him.

¹⁰ If you keep my commandments, you will be abiding in my love; just-as I have kept my Father’s commandments and am abiding in his love.

⁴ I glorified you upon the earth. I completed the work which you have given me, that I should be doing.

²² in whom you are also built together into a residence of God in the Spirit.

¹² And I have gratitude to the one who empowered me, namely, the Christ, Jesus our Lord, because he deemed me faithful, placing me into his service;

¹⁵ but if I am slow, these things are in order that you may know how men ought to conduct themselves in the house of God, which is the congregation of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth.

⁵ And Moses indeed was faithful in his whole house as a bondservant for a testimony of the things which will be spoken later; ⁶ but Christ was faithful as a son, over his house; whose house we are, if indeed we hold-onto our boldness and the boasting of our hope steadfast till the end.

⁹ The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands will also finish it. And you will know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you*.

¹² And speak to him, saying, Thus speaks Jehovah of hosts, saying, Behold, the man whose name is the Branch. And he will grow up out of his place and he will build the temple of Jehovah, ¹³ even he will build the temple of Jehovah. And he will bear the glory and will sit and rule upon his throne. And he will be a priest upon his throne and the counsel of peace will be between them both.

¹⁸ But I also say to you, that you are ^{F} Peter and upon this, the rock, I will be building my congregation of believers, and the gates of Hades will not be prevailing against her.

⁹ For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s cultivation, God’s building.

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the congregation of believers; who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, in order that he might become foremost in all things.

² whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the ages. ³ It is he who, being the brightness of his glory and the exact representation of his essence, and is carrying all things by his declaration of power. Having made a cleansing of our sins through himself, he sat down by the right hand of the Majesty in the high place; ⁴ having become so-much better than the messengers, inasmuch as he has inherited a more excellent name than they.

⁹ But we see Jesus who has been made a bit of something inferior, less than the messengers, having been crowned with glory and honor, because of the suffering of the death he underwent, that in the grace from God, he should taste of death on behalf of everyone.

⁶ but Christ was faithful as a son, over his house; whose house we are, if indeed we hold-onto our boldness and the boasting of our hope steadfast till the end.

⁵ You, yourselves, like living stones, are also built up as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ Because it is contained in the Scripture, ‘Behold, I place in Zion, a cornerstone, chosen and precious, and the one who believes on him may never be ashamed.’ ⁷ Therefore, to those who believe is the honor, but to the disobedient, ‘ The stone which the builders rejected, this became to them the head of the corner';

¹⁰ Esther had not made known her people nor her kindred, for Mordecai had charged her that she should not make it known.

⁹ If it please the king, let it be written that they are destroyed. And I will pay ten thousand talants of silver into the hands of those who have the charge of the king's business, to bring it into the king's treasuries.

³ For he has been deemed worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as the one who constructed the house has more honor than the house.

³¹ And Israel saw the great work which Jehovah did upon the Egyptians. And the people feared Jehovah and they believed in Jehovah and in his servant Moses.

²⁴ O lord Jehovah, you have begun to show your servant your greatness and your strong hand, for what god is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works and according to your mighty acts?

¹⁵ Jehovah your God will raise up for you a prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like me. You* will listen to him, ¹⁶ according to all that you desired of Jehovah your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Do not let me hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die. ¹⁷ And Jehovah said to me, They have well said what they have spoken.
¹⁸ I will raise up a prophet for them from among their brothers, like you. And I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them all that I will command him. ¹⁹ And it will happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he will speak in my name, I will require it of him.

⁵ So Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Jehovah.

² Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I give to them, even to the sons of Israel.

⁷ Only be strong and very courageous to observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you. Turn not from it, neither to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.

¹⁵ until Jehovah has given your* brothers rest, as you* and they also have possessed the land which Jehovah your* God gives them. Then you* will return to the land of your* possession and possess it, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave you* beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise.

³¹ as Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of unhewn stones, upon which no man had lifted up any iron. And they offered burnt offerings on it to Jehovah and sacrificed peace offerings.

³³ And all Israel and their elders and officers and their judges, stood on this side of the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, as well the traveler as the home born, half of them in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of Jehovah had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.

¹⁴ and made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them commandments and statutes and a law, by Moses your servant.

²⁶ He sent Moses his servant and Aaron whom he had chosen.

⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and prudent bondservant, whom his lord has designated over his bondservants, to give them their nourishment in season?

²¹ But his lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful bondservant. You were over a few things, I will be designating you over many things; enter into the joy of your lord.

⁴² But the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and prudent steward, whom his lord will be designating over his bondservants, to give them their food-allowance in season?

¹⁰ The faithful in the least matters is also faithful in much, and the unrighteous in the least matters is also unrighteous in much. ¹¹ Therefore, if you have not become faithful in the unrighteous money, who will be entrusting the true riches to you? ¹² And if you have not become faithful in what is another’s, who will be giving you what is yours?

²⁷ And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he was clarifying for them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

⁴⁴ Now he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, being still together with you, that it is essential for all things to be fulfilled, which have been written in the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms, concerning me.

³⁹ You are searching the Scriptures because you think that in them you have everlasting life, and these are those which are testifying concerning me;

⁴⁶ For if you believed in Moses, you would believe in me; for that man wrote concerning me. ⁴⁷ But if you do not believe the Scriptures of that man, how will you believe my declarations?

²² Moses indeed said to the fathers, The Lord our God will rise up for you a prophet from among your brethren, like me. You will listen to him according to all things, as many things as he may speak to you. ²³ And it will be, that every soul if it does not listen to that prophet, will be utterly destroyed from among the people.

³⁷ This is that Moses, who said to the sons of Israel, The Lord our God will raise up to you a prophet out of your brethren, like me.

²³ Now having appointed him a day, they were coming to him, into the lodging in great number; to whom he was expounding the word, thoroughly testifying of the kingdom of God also persuading them with the things concerning Jesus, both from the Law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until dusk.

²¹ But now the righteousness of God has been manifested separate from the law, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

² But furthermore, it is required in stewards, in order that someone should be found faithful.

² who was faithful to the one who made him such, as Moses also was in his whole house.

⁵ who gives-divine service to what is a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just-as Moses had been divinely-warned when he was about to complete the tabernacle; for he says, You will be making all things according to the pattern which was shown to you in the mountain.

⁸ The Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the holy of holies has still not been manifested, while the first tabernacle still has a standing. ⁹ This tabernacle, (which is a figure toward the present time); according to which both gifts and sacrifices are offered, is not able to complete he who is giving-divine service to God according to the conscience, ¹⁰ being only fleshly ordinances, (upon the basis of foods, drinks and assorted ceremonial washings), laid upon us till a time of reformation.
¹¹ But Christ came as a high-priest of the future good things, through the greater and more complete tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, ¹² nor through the blood of male-goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy of holies, having found everlasting redemption. ¹³ For if the blood of male-goats and oxen and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling those who have been desecrated, makes one holy toward the cleanness of the flesh;

²⁴ For the Christ did not enter into a holy-places made with hands, counterparts to the true one, but into heaven itself, now to be manifested before the face of God on our behalf.

¹⁰ Concerning which salvation the prophets, who prophesied concerning the favor that would come to you, sought out and utterly searched out; ¹¹ searching what time or what sort of time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating, when testifying beforehand of the sufferings for Christ and the glories following after these things. ¹² To whom it was revealed, that they were serving these things not to themselves, but to you; which things now have been reported to you through those who proclaimed the good-news to you in the Holy Spirit, when he was sent forth from heaven; into which things messengers desire to peer into.

⁶ Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. ⁷ I will tell of the decree. Jehovah said to me, You are my Son, this day I have fathered you.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest he is angry and you* perish in the way, because his wrath will soon be kindled. All those who take refuge in him are fortunate.

⁶ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given. And the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

²² And you will be hated by all men because of my name. But he who has endured to the end, this one will be saved.

¹³ But he who has endured to the end, this one will be saved.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. ³⁶ He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, but he who is disobedient to the Son will not be seeing life, but the wrath of God is remaining upon him.

² through whom we also have had our access to this grace in the faith in which we are standing, and we are boasting in hope of the glory of God.

²² Therefore, behold the kindness and severity of God, indeed severity upon those who fell, but kindness upon you, if you remain in the kindness of God : otherwise you also will be cut off.

¹² rejoicing in the hope; enduring in your affliction; persevering in your prayer;

¹³ Now the God of hope may fill you with all joy and peace in the believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶ Do you not know that you are a temple of God and the Spirit of God is dwelling in you?

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? And you are not your own;

¹⁶ And what alliance has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God; just-as God said, ‘I will be dwelling among them and will be walking among them, and I will be their God and they will be a people to me.’

⁹ Now we should not be depressed in well doing; for we will be reaping in our own time, if we do not faint.

²¹ in whom all the building, fitly framed together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord; ²² in whom you are also built together into a residence of God in the Spirit.

²³ if you actually are remaining in the faith, having been founded and grounded and not being moved away from the hope of the good-news which you heard, which was preached in all creation which is under heaven; of which I, Paul, became a servant.

¹⁶ Rejoice always.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God and Father who loved us and gave us everlasting encouragement and good hope in his grace,

² who was faithful to the one who made him such, as Moses also was in his whole house. ³ For he has been deemed worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as the one who constructed the house has more honor than the house.

¹¹ Therefore let us be diligent to enter into that rest, in order that no one should fall into the same example of disobedience.

¹⁴ Therefore having a great high-priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has gone through the heavens, let us hold-fast our confession.

¹¹ But we are desiring each of you to show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope till the end;

²³ We should hold-onto the confession of our hope–unwavering; for he who promised is faithful.

³⁵ Therefore do not cast away your boldness, which has great reward.

³⁸ But my righteous one will be living from faith and if he retreats back, my soul does not delight in him.’ ³⁹ But we are not from this retreating back leading to destruction, but we are from the faith leading to the preservation of the soul.

³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious, who according to his much mercy has born us again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ into an incorruptible, undefiled and unfading inheritance having been guarded in the heavens for you; ⁵ who are kept through faith in the power of God, into a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. ⁶ In which hope you are glad now for a few moments, if it is essential, you have been made sorrowful in various tests,

⁸ You love whom you have not seen; now you believe in whom you do not see; in both you are glad with unspeakable and glorified joy;

⁵ You, yourselves, like living stones, are also built up as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ And write to the messenger of the congregation in Thyatira:
The Son of God, who has his eyes like a flame of fire and his feet are similar to polished brass says these things:

²⁵ However hold-fast^\'b0 to what you have, till whenever I have come.

¹¹ I am coming shortly. Hold-fast what you have, in order that no one may take your crown.

² The Spirit of Jehovah spoke by me and his word was upon my tongue.

¹¹ But my people listened not to my voice and Israel would have none of me.

¹³ O that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!

⁷ Because he is our God and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
Today, O that you* would hear his voice! ⁸ Harden not your* heart, as in the provocation, as the day of trial in the wilderness, ⁹ where your* fathers challenged me, proved me and saw my work.
¹⁰ Forty years long I was grieved with that generation and said, It is a people that do go-astray in their heart and they have not known my ways. ¹¹ Therefore I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

¹ Do not boast in yourself of tomorrow, because you do not know what a day may bring forth.

¹⁰ Whatever your hand finds to do, do with your might, because there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you go.

³ Incline your* ear and come to me. Hear and your* soul will live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you*, even the faithful holy things of David.

⁶ Seek Jehovah while he may be found. Call you* upon him while he is near.

⁵ While he is still speaking, behold, a radiant cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted; hear him!

⁴³ He says to them, Therefore how does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,

³⁶ David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I should place your enemies as the footstool of your feet.’

²⁵ Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

³ The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

¹⁶ And I have other sheep, which are not out of this pen; it is also essential for me to lead those and they will be hearing my voice and there will become one flock, only one shepherd.

²⁷ My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they are following me,

¹⁶ Brethren, it was essential that this Scripture might be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit said beforehand through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who took Jesus,

²⁵ But when they disagreed among themselves, they were dismissing themselves after Paul had spoken just one declaration, The Holy Spirit spoke well through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,

¹ And working together with him, we are also encouraging you to not accept the grace of God in vain; ² (for he says, ‘I heard you at an acceptable time and I helped you in a day of salvation;' behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation),

¹³ But encourage one another every day, until what is called today; in order that not anyone of you may be hardened by the deception of sin.

¹⁵ while it is said, ‘If you hear his voice today, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.’

⁷ he again determines a certain day as today, saying in David, after so-much time, (just-as it has been said beforehand), ‘Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.’

⁸ The Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the holy of holies has still not been manifested, while the first tabernacle still has a standing.

¹³ Come now, you who are saying, Today and the next-day, we should travel into this city and spend one year there and be a merchant and make a gain. ¹⁴ You do not know what the next-day will bring, for what is your life? For it will be a vapor, which appears for a few but thereafter also disappears. ¹⁵ Instead of that, you should say, If the Lord wills, and we should also live, then we might do this or that.

²¹ For no prophecy was ever brought about by the will of man, but the holy men of God spoke the word being carried by the Holy Spirit.

²⁰ Behold, I am standing at the door and knocking; if anyone hears my voice and if he opens the door, I will enter to him and will dine with him and he with me.

¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, as Jehovah had spoken.

⁷ And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contending of the sons of Israel and because they challenged Jehovah, saying, Is Jehovah among us, or not?

¹¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, How long will this people despise me? And how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have worked among them?

²² because all those men who have seen my glory and my signs, which I worked in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have challenged me these ten times and have not listened to my voice, ²³ surely they will not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither will any of them who despised me see it.

¹⁶ You* will not challenge Jehovah your* God, as you* challenged him in Massah.

²² And at Taberah and at Massah and at Kibroth-hattaavah, you* provoked Jehovah to wrath. ²³ And when Jehovah sent you* from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you*, then you* rebelled against the commandment of Jehovah your* God and you* did not believe him, nor listen to his voice.
²⁴ You* have been rebellious against Jehovah from the day that I knew you*.

⁶ Why then do you* harden your* hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? When he had worked wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go and they departed?

¹⁴ Notwithstanding, they would not hear, but stiffened their neck, like the neck of their fathers who did not believe in Jehovah their God.

⁸ Now be you* not stiff-necked, as your* fathers were, but yield yourselves to Jehovah and enter into his sanctuary, which he has made holy everlasting and serve Jehovah your* God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you*.

¹³ And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God. But he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to Jehovah, the God of Israel.

¹⁶ But they and our fathers dealt proudly and stiffened their neck and did not listen to your commandments,

⁴ He is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against him and prospered?

¹⁸ And they challenged God in their heart by asking food according to their desire.

⁵⁶ Yet they challenged and rebelled against the Most High God and did not keep his testimonies,

¹⁴ but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness and challenged God in the desert.

¹⁴ The man who fears always is fortunate, but he who hardens his heart will fall into mischief.

¹ He who, being often reproved, hardens his neck will suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy.

²⁶ Yet they listened not to me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff. They did worse than their fathers.

⁷ But the house of Israel will not listen to you, for they will not listen to me. For all the house of Israel are of a hard forehead and of a stiff heart.
⁸ Behold, I have made your face hard against their faces and your forehead hard against their foreheads. ⁹ As an adamant, harder than flint, I have made your forehead. Fear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

²⁰ But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne. And they took his glory from him,

¹¹ But they refused to listen and pulled away the shoulder and stopped their ears, that they might not hear. ¹² Yes, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law and the words which Jehovah of hosts had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁵ for the heart of this people has become-callous and they have selectively heard with the ears and they have closed their eyes; lest they should see with their eyes and should hear with their ears and should understand with their heart and should turn again and I will be healing them.’

⁹ But as some were hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way in the sight of the multitude, he withdrew away from them and separated the disciples, reasoning every day in the school of a certain Tyrannus.

⁵ But you store up wrath for yourself according to your hardness and unrepentant heart in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; ⁶ who will ‘repay to each according to his works.’

⁹ Nor should we test the Christ, just-as some of them also tested him, and perished by the serpents.

¹² Beware brethren, lest there will be an evil heart of unbelief in anyone of you, in withdrawing away from the living God. ¹³ But encourage one another every day, until what is called today; in order that not anyone of you may be hardened by the deception of sin.

⁴ You* have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I bore you* on eagles' wings and brought you* to myself.

²² And Jehovah said to Moses, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, You* yourselves have seen that I have talked with you* from heaven.

³³ And your* sons will be wanderers in the wilderness forty years and will bear your* prostitutions, until your* dead bodies be consumed in the wilderness.

³ Your* eyes have seen what Jehovah did because of Baal-peor. For all the men who followed Baal-peor, Jehovah your God has destroyed them from the midst of you.

⁹ Only take heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life, but make them known to your sons and your son's sons–

² And you will remember all the way which Jehovah your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.

⁴ Your garments did not grow old upon you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.

⁷ but your* eyes have seen all the great work of Jehovah which he did.

² And Moses called to all Israel and said to them, You* have seen all that Jehovah did before your* eyes in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land,

⁶ For the sons of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness till all the nation, even the men of war who came forth out of Egypt, were consumed, because they did not listen to the voice of Jehovah, to whom Jehovah swore that he would not let them see the land which Jehovah swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.

³ and you* have seen all that Jehovah your* God has done to all these nations because of you*, for Jehovah your* God, he it is who has fought for you*.

⁷ And when they cried out to Jehovah, he put darkness between you* and the Egyptians and brought the sea upon them and covered them. And your* eyes saw what I did in Egypt and you* dwelt in the wilderness many days.

¹⁰ Also I brought you* up out of the land of Egypt and led you* forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

²² And Jesus answered and said to them, When you have traveled back, report to John the things which you have seen and heard; that the blind recover their sight, the lame are walking, the lepers are cleansed and the mute hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the good-news proclaimed to them.

³⁶ This one led them out, having done wonders and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness for forty years.

⁸ But Elymas the magician (for so is his name by translation) was standing against them, seeking to pervert the proconsul away from the faith.

⁶ And Jehovah regretted that he had made man on the earth and it grieved him in his heart.

¹⁶ And they put away the foreign gods from among them and served Jehovah. And his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

² that your way may be known upon earth, your salvation among all nations.

⁸ and might not be as their fathers: a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set their heart aright and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.

⁴⁰ How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness and grieved him in the desert!

¹⁰ Forty years long I was grieved with that generation and said, It is a people that do go-astray in their heart and they have not known my ways.

²⁰ He has not dealt so with any nation. And as for his ordinances, they have not known them.
Praise Jehovah.

⁷ And even these reel with wine and wander around with strong drink. The priest and the prophet reel with strong drink. They are swallowed up of wine. They wander around with strong drink; they reel in vision; they stumble in judgment.

¹⁰ But they rebelled and grieved his holy Spirit. Therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them.

²² For my people are foolish. They do not know me.
They are foolish sons and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but they have no knowledge to do good.

¹² My people ask counsel at their stock and their staff declares to them, for the spirit of prostitution has made them go-astray and they have played the prostitute, departing from under their God.

⁵ And having looked around at them with anger, being sorrowful at the hardening of their heart, he says to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.

¹⁹ Now this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. ²⁰ For everyone who is practicing evil, hates the light, and is not coming to the light, in order that his works should not convict him.

⁴⁵ But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me.

²⁸ And just-as they did not approve to have God in their full knowledge, God gave them up to an unapproved mind, to do those things which are not proper.

⁷ But if the truth of God in my lie abounded to his glory, why am I also still being judged like a sinner?

³⁰ And do not make the Holy Spirit of God sorrowful, in whom you were sealed to the day of redemption.

¹⁰ and in all deception of unrighteousness in those who are perishing, because they did not accept the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will be sending them a working of error, that they may believe in the lie; ¹² in order that they all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but were delighted in unrighteousness.

¹² Beware brethren, lest there will be an evil heart of unbelief in anyone of you, in withdrawing away from the living God.

²⁰ And Jehovah said, I have pardoned according to your word, ²¹ but in very deed, as I live and as all the earth will be filled with the glory of Jehovah,

²⁵ Now the Amalekite and the Canaanite dwell in the valley. Tomorrow turn and get into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.

²⁷ How long shall I bear with this evil congregation that murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they murmur against me. ²⁸ Say to them, As I live, says Jehovah, surely as you* have spoken in my ears, so will I do to you*. ²⁹ Your* dead bodies will fall in this wilderness. And all who were numbered of you*, according to your* whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me, ³⁰ surely you* will not come into the land, concerning which I swore that I would make you* dwell in it, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

³⁵ I, Jehovah, have spoken, surely I will do this to all this evil congregation that are gathered together against me. In this wilderness they will be consumed and there they will die.

¹⁰ And Jehovah's anger was kindled in that day and he swore, saying, ¹¹ Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, will see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob; because they have not entirely followed me, ¹² except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua the son of Nun, because they have entirely followed Jehovah. ¹³ And Jehovah's anger was kindled against Israel and he made them wander to and fro in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of Jehovah was consumed.

³⁴ And Jehovah heard the voice of your* words and was angry and swore, saying, ³⁵ Surely there will not one of these men of this evil generation see the good land, which I swore to give to your* fathers,

¹⁴ And the days in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we came over the brook Zered, were thirty-eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the midst of the camp, as Jehovah swore to them.

¹¹ Therefore I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

¹⁸ Now to whom did he swear that they will not be entering into his rest, except to the disobedient? ¹⁹ And we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.

³ For we who have believed are entering into that rest; just-as he has said, ‘ As I swore in my wrath, they will not be entering into my rest,’although the works have happened from the conception of the world.

⁵ and again in this one, ‘They will not be entering into my rest.’

⁹ Consequently, a Sabbath-rest is left for the people of God.

²¹ And Jehovah smelled the sweet aroma. And Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for the sake of man, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. I will not again kill* everything living, as I have done.

¹⁴ And they say to God, Depart from us, for we do not desire the knowledge of your ways.

¹⁷ who said to God, Depart from us, and What can the Almighty do for us?

²¹ Because I have kept the ways of Jehovah and have not wickedly departed from my God.

³² Because the backsliding of the simple will kill them and the careless ease of fools will destroy them.

¹³ transgressing and denying Jehovah and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

¹³ For my people have committed two evils: They have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

¹⁷ At that time they will call Jerusalem the throne of Jehovah and all the nations will be gathered to it, to the name of Jehovah, to Jerusalem. Neither will they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.

²⁴ But they listened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in their own counsels, in the stubbornness of their evil heart and went backward and not forward.

⁸ Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked each one in the stubbornness of his evil heart. Therefore I brought upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did them not.

¹² And you* have done evil more than your* fathers, for, behold, you* walk each one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you* listen not to me.

⁵ Jehovah says thus: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm and whose heart departs from Jehovah.

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it?

¹² But they say, It is in vain. For we will walk after our own devices and we will do everyone according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.

² When Jehovah spoke at the first by Hosea, Jehovah said to Hosea, Go, take to you a wife of prostitution and children of prostitution, for the land commits great prostitution, departing from Jehovah.

¹⁶ Now Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

⁴ And Jesus answered and said to them, Beware, do not let anyone mislead you.

²¹ For evil reasonings travel from inside, out of the heart of men, such as : adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, ²² greedy-acts, wickednesses, treachery, unbridled-lusts, an evil eye, blasphemy, haughtiness, foolishness. ²³ All these evil things travel from inside, and desecrate the man.

⁹ But you yourselves, beware, they will be giving you up to councils, and you will be whipped in synagogues and you will be standing in front of governors and kings, because of me, for a testimony to them.

²³ But you, beware. Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

³³ Beware, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

⁸ And he said, Beware, do not be misled; for many will be coming in my name, saying, I am he, and, The time has drawn near. You therefore, do not travel after them.

²¹ for if God did not spare the natural branches, lest neither will he be sparing you.

¹² So-then, he who thinks he stands, let him beware, lest he might fall!

⁹ For they themselves are reporting concerning us, what sort of entrance we had toward you, and how you turned from idols to God, to serve a living and true God,

¹ Because of this, we ought to take-heed even-more to the things which were heard, lest we might drift away. ² For if the word spoken through the messengers became steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward; ³ how shall we flee, having neglected so-great a salvation, which having received at the beginning was spoken through the Lord, which was confirmed to us from those who heard it?

¹⁰ Hence I was displeased with that generation and said, They themselves are habitually misled in their heart s, but they did not know my ways.

³⁸ But my righteous one will be living from faith and if he retreats back, my soul does not delight in him.’

¹⁵ exercising the oversight of yourselves lest there is anyone who comes-short, away from the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing upward, might trouble you, and many may be defiled through this;

²⁵ Beware that you do not renounce the one who speaks. For if those men did not flee when they renounced the one who divinely-warned them upon the earth, much more we may not flee who are turning away from him, who is from the heavens;

²⁶ He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks wisely, he will be delivered.

²⁰ He feeds on ashes. A deceived heart has turned him aside. And he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

³ The pride of your heart has deceived you, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high, who says in his heart, Who will bring me down to the ground?

²³ who, having come and having seen the favor of God, rejoiced and was encouraging all with purpose of heart to remain in the Lord,

¹¹ for sin, having taken a starting-point through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me.

²² to place away from yourselves the old man, according to your former conduct, the one who is corrupted according to the lusts of deception;

¹¹ Just-as you know, as we became with each one of you, like a father with his own children, encouraging you and consoling you\super\'b0

¹⁸ So-then, encourage one another in these words.

¹¹ Hence, encourage one another and build up one by one, just-as you are also practicing.

² Preach the word. Stand-ready opportunely and inopportunely. Reprove, rebuke and encourage in all patience and teaching.

²⁴ And we should consider one another for motivating each other from love and from good works; ²⁵ not forsaking our own gathering-together, just-as the custom is with some, but encouraging one another, and so-much more, inasmuch as you are seeing the day drawing near.

¹⁴ But each person is tempted, when he is pulled away and enticed by his own lust.

³⁰ But you are from him, in Christ Jesus, who has become to us wisdom and righteousness and holiness and redemption from God;

¹ Hence, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus Christ, the Apostle and High-Priest of our confession;

⁴ For it is impossible, those who were once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and had become partakers of the Holy Spirit

¹⁰ For they indeed were disciplining us for a few days according to what did seem right to them, but he does it upon what is advantageous for us, that we may receive of his holiness.

¹³ But accordingly you are sharing in the sufferings of the Christ with us, rejoice, in order that you may also rejoice in the revelation of his glory, being glad.

⁷ Because he is our God and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
Today, O that you* would hear his voice!

⁷ Hence, as the Holy Spirit says, ‘Today if you hear his voice, ⁸ do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, according to the day of the testing in the wilderness,

²⁹ How much worse punishment, do you think he will be deemed worthy of, after having trampled under foot the Son of God, and having deemed the blood of the covenant in which he was made holy as common, and having insulted the Spirit of the grace?

² And all the sons of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. And the whole congregation said to them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt, or would that we had died in this wilderness!

⁴ And they said one to another, Let us make a captain and let us return into Egypt.

²⁴ But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him and has followed me fully, him will I bring into the land into which he went and his seed will possess it.

³⁰ surely you* will not come into the land, concerning which I swore that I would make you* dwell in it, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

³⁸ But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, remained alive of those men who went to spy out the land.

⁶⁵ For Jehovah had said of them, They will surely die in the wilderness. And there was not a man of them left, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

³⁵ Surely there will not one of these men of this evil generation see the good land, which I swore to give to your* fathers, ³⁶ except Caleb the son of Jephunneh. He will see it and I will give to him the land that he has trodden upon and to his sons, because he has entirely followed Jehovah.

³⁸ Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he will go in there. Encourage him, for he will cause Israel to inherit it.

⁷ I was forty years old when Moses the servant of Jehovah sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land and I brought him word again as it was in my heart.
⁸ Nevertheless my brothers who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I entirely followed Jehovah my God. ⁹ And Moses swore on that day, saying, Surely the land in which your foot has trodden will be an inheritance to you and to your sons everlasting because you have entirely followed Jehovah my God.
¹⁰ And now, behold, Jehovah has kept me alive, as he spoke, these forty-five years, from the time that Jehovah spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness. And now behold, I am this day eighty-five years old. ¹¹ As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me. As my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war and to go out and to come in.

¹⁷ Yet they went on to still sin against him, to rebel against the Most High in the desert.

⁴ But what does the divine-answer say to him? ‘I have left to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal.’ ⁵ Therefore so there has also become a remnant according to the chosen of grace in this current time.

⁹ where your fathers tested me, they proved me, and then saw my works forty years. ¹⁰ Hence I was displeased with that generation and said, They themselves are habitually misled in their heart s, but they did not know my ways.

²² because all those men who have seen my glory and my signs, which I worked in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have challenged me these ten times and have not listened to my voice,

And there was not a man of them left, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

¹⁵ Moreover the hand of Jehovah was against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp, until they were consumed.
¹⁶ So it happened, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,

²² Speak, Jehovah says thus: The dead bodies of men will fall as manure upon the open field and as the handful after the harvestman and none will gather.

¹ Now brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant that our fathers were all under the cloud and all went through the sea; ² and were all immersed into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; ³ and all ate the same spiritual food; ⁴ and all were drinking the same spiritual drink; for they were drinking from a spiritual rock following them, and the rock was the Christ. ⁵ Yet God was not delighted in most of them; for they were overthrown in the wilderness. ⁶ Now these things became our examples, that we should not be desirers of evil things, just-as they also lusted. ⁷ Do not become idolaters, just-as some of them were; as it has been written, ‘The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.’ ⁸ Neither should we fornicate, like some of them fornicated, and twenty three thousand fell in one day. ⁹ Nor should we test the Christ, just-as some of them also tested him, and perished by the serpents. ¹⁰ Nor murmur, like some of them also murmured, and perished by the destroyer. ¹¹ Now all these things are examples which were befalling to those Jews, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have arrived. ¹² So-then, he who thinks he stands, let him beware, lest he might fall! ¹³ No temptation has taken you except common human temptations, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to undergo, but together with the temptation, he will also make an outlet.

⁵ But I plan to remind you, though you knowing this once for all, that the Lord, having saved people out of the land of Egypt, destroyed those who did not believe the second-time.

²³ surely they will not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither will any of them who despised me see it.

¹² And Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron, Because you* did not believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore you* will not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.

²⁶ Yet you* would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of Jehovah your* God. ²⁷ And you* murmured in your* tents and said, Because Jehovah hated us, he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. ²⁸ Where are we going up? Our brothers have made our heart to melt, saying, The people are greater and taller than we. The cities are great and fortified up to heaven and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.
²⁹ Then I said to you*, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. ³⁰ Jehovah your* God who goes before you*, he will fight for you*, according to all that he did for you* in Egypt before your* eyes, ³¹ and in the wilderness, where you have seen how that Jehovah your God bore you, as a man bears his son, in all the way that you* went, until you* came to this place.
³² Yet in this thing you* did not believe Jehovah your* God,

²³ And when Jehovah sent you* from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you*, then you* rebelled against the commandment of Jehovah your* God and you* did not believe him, nor listen to his voice.

²⁴ Yes, they despised the desirable land. They did not believe his word, ²⁵ but murmured in their tents and did not listen to the voice of Jehovah.
²⁶ Therefore he swore to them, that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

¹¹ As I swore in my wrath, they will not be entering into my rest.’

² For we also are having the good-news proclaimed to us, just-as they also had. But the word of hearing did not profit them, because it had not been mixed together with the faith in those who heard it.

⁶ Therefore, since it is left for some to enter into it, and those to whom the good-news was proclaimed beforehand did not enter into it because of disobedience,

¹⁶ He who believes and is immersed will be saved, but he who disbelieves will be condemned.

¹⁸ He who believes in him is not judged. He who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

³⁶ He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, but he who is disobedient to the Son will not be seeing life, but the wrath of God is remaining upon him.

¹² in order that they all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but were delighted in unrighteousness.

¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God, has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.
