¹ And Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.

³⁴ And when Esau was forty years old he took a wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite.

⁴⁶ And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob takes a wife of the daughters of Heth, those like these, of the daughters of the land, what good will my life do me?

⁶ Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan-aram, to take for him a wife from there and that as he blessed him he gave him an order, saying, You will not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan,

¹⁵ These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan-aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty-three.

³⁶ Why do you go around so much to change your way? You will be ashamed of Egypt also, as you were ashamed of Assyria.

¹³ Now at the same time, they also are learning to be idle, strolling the houses, and not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not to speak.
