¹⁸ Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O Jehovah and that a foolish people has blasphemed your name.
¹⁹ O do not deliver the soul of your turtle-dove to the wild beast. Do not forget the life of your poor forever.
²⁰ Have respect to the covenant, because the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of violence.
²¹ O do not let he who is oppressed return ashamed. Let a poor and needy man praise your name.
²² Arise, O God, plead your own cause. Remember how the foolish man reproaches you all the day.
²³ Do not forget not the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.

¹⁷ I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy. I will show them the back and not the face, in the day of their calamity.

²³ And the nations will know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they trespassed against me and I hid my face from them. So I gave them into the hand of their adversaries and they fell all of them by the sword. ²⁴ I did to them according to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions. And I hid my face from them.
