¹ Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers of the sons of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.

² Then the rulers of Israel, the heads of their fathers' houses, offered. These were the rulers of the tribes. These are those who were over those who were numbered. ³ And they brought their oblation before Jehovah: six covered wagons and twelve oxen; a wagon for every two of the rulers and for each one an ox. And they presented them before the tabernacle.

² that Joshua called for all Israel, for their elders and for their heads and for their judges and for their officers and said to them, I am old and well stricken in years,

¹ And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem and called for the elders of Israel and for their heads and for their judges and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.

⁷ Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion; the same is the city of David.
⁸ And David said on that day, Whoever slays the Jebusites, let him get up to the watercourse and kill * the lame and the blind, the hated by David's soul, because the blind and the lame say, He cannot come into the house.
⁹ And David dwelt in the stronghold and called it the city of David. And David built all around from Millo and inward.

¹ And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand. ² And David arose and went with all the people who were with him, from Baale-judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name, even the name of Jehovah of hosts who sits above the cherubim.

⁶ And when they came to the threshing-floor of Nacon, Uzzah put forth to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.

¹² And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that pertains to him, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with joy. ¹³ And it was so, that, when those who bore the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatten sheep.
¹⁴ And David danced before Jehovah with all his might. And David was girded with a linen ephod. ¹⁵ So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
¹⁶ And it was so, as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah and she despised him in her heart.
¹⁷ And they brought in the ark of Jehovah and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it. And David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Jehovah.

¹⁵ And Solomon awoke, and behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah and offered up burnt offerings and offered peace offerings and made a feast to all his servants.

⁷ And David dwelt in the stronghold. Therefore they called it the city of David.

¹ And David consulted with the captains of thousands and of hundreds, even with every leader. ² And David said to all the assembly of Israel, If it seems good to you* and if it is of Jehovah our God, let us send abroad everywhere to our brothers who are left in all the land of Israel, with whom the priests and Levites are in their cities that have suburbs, that they may gather themselves to us. ³ And let us bring again the ark of our God to us, for we did not inquire from it in the days of Saul. ⁴ And all the assembly said that they would do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
⁵ So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor the brook of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.

³ And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem to bring up the ark of Jehovah to its place, which he had prepared for it.

²⁵ So David and the elders of Israel and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.

²⁹ And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window and saw king David dancing and playing. And she despised him in her heart.

¹ And David assembled all the rulers of Israel, the rulers of the tribes and the captains of the companies that served the king by division and the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds and the rulers over all the substance and possessions of the king and of his sons, with the officers and the mighty men, even all the mighty men of valor, to Jerusalem.

² Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the rulers of the fathers of the sons of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion. ³ And all the men of Israel assembled themselves to the king at the feast, which was in the seventh month.
⁴ And all the elders of Israel came. And the Levites took up the ark. ⁵ And they brought up the ark and the tent of meeting and all the holy vessels that were in the tent. These the priests the Levites brought up.
⁶ And king Solomon and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled to him, were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.
⁷ And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah to its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim. ⁸ For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark and the cherubim covered the ark and the staves of it above. ⁹ And the staves were so long that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle, but they were not seen outside. And there it is to this day.
¹⁰ There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets which Moses put there at Horeb when Jehovah made a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

¹ And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Jehovah, the God of Israel.

¹ And when the seventh month came and the sons of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.

¹¹ Sing praises to Jehovah, who dwells in Zion. Declare among the people his practices.

²¹ that men may declare the name of Jehovah in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem,

¹⁶ Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation, a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner- stone, a sure foundation. He who believes in him will never be shamed.

¹³ I bring near my righteousness. It will not be far off. And my salvation will not abide and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

⁶ Because it is contained in the Scripture, ‘Behold, I place in Zion, a cornerstone, chosen and precious, and the one who believes on him may never be ashamed.’
