⁶ Not however that the Word of God has failed, for not all those of Israel are Israel;

¹⁹ God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

¹¹ so shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall certainly do what I sent it to do.

³⁵ The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him and said of him, Behold an Israelite indeed in whom is no guile!

³⁵ If He called those gods with whom the Word of God was, and the Scripture cannot be broken,

²⁸ For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that outwardly in flesh; ²⁹ but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart; in spirit and not in letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

³ For what? If some did not believe, will not their unbelief nullify the faith of God?

¹² and a father of circumcision to those not of the circumcision only, but also to those walking by the steps of the faith of our father Abraham during uncircumcision. ¹³ For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith. ¹⁴ For if they of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is made of no effect; ¹⁵ because the Law works out wrath, for where no law is, there is no transgression. ¹⁶ Therefore it is of faith so that it might be according to grace; for the promise to be made sure to all the seed, not only to that which is of the Law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

¹ I say then, Did not God put away His people? Let it not be said! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. ² God did not thrust out His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture said in Elijah, how he pleaded with God against Israel, saying,

¹⁶ And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them and upon the Israel of God.

¹³ If we do not believe Him, yet He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

¹⁷ In this way desiring to declare more fully to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, God interposed by an oath, ¹⁸ so that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us,
