¹ Brothers, truly my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is for it to be saved. ² For I bear record to them that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. ³ For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God. ⁴ For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness for everyone who believes. ⁵ For Moses writes of the righteousness which is of the Law, "The man who does those things shall live by them." ⁶ But the righteousness of faith says this: "Do not say in your heart, Who shall ascend into Heaven?" that is, to bring Christ down; ⁷ or "Who shall descend into the deep?"; that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead. ⁸ But what does it say? "The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart"; that is, the Word of Faith which we proclaim; ⁹ Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation. ¹¹ For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame." ¹² For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call on Him. ¹³ For everyone, "whoever shall call on the name of the Lord will be saved." ¹⁴ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without preaching? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things!" ¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" ¹⁷ Then faith is of hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. ¹⁸ But I say, Have they not heard? Yes indeed, their voice went out into all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. ¹⁹ But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses says, "I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you." ²⁰ But Isaiah is very bold and says, "I was found by those who did not seek Me, I became known to those who did not ask after Me." ²¹ But to Israel He says, "All day long I have stretched forth My hands to a disobeying and gainsaying people."

¹³ Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give to your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.

⁵ And you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live in them. I am Jehovah.

⁷ And Jehovah said to Samuel, Listen to the voice of the people in all that they say to you. For they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. ⁸ According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even until this day, works with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods, so they do also to you.

²³ Also, I, far be it from me that I should sin against Jehovah from ceasing to pray for you. But I will teach you the good and the right way.

¹¹ It repents Me that I have set up Saul to be king. For he has turned back from following Me and has not done My commands. And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to Jehovah all night.

³⁵ And Samuel never again saw Saul until the day of his death, for Samuel mourned for Saul. And Jehovah repented that He had made Saul king over Israel.

⁴¹ And concerning a stranger who is not of Your people Israel, but who comes out of a far country for Your name's sake; ⁴² for they shall hear of Your great name and of Your strong hand and of Your stretched-out arm; and if he shall come and pray toward this house, ⁴³ hear in Heaven Your dwelling-place, and do according to all that the stranger calls to You for, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You, as Your people Israel do, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by Your name.

¹⁰ As Jehovah your God lives, there is no nation nor kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. And when they said, He is not there, he took an oath of the kingdom and nation that they did not find you.

¹⁶ And he said, Come with me and see my zeal for Jehovah. And they made him ride in his chariot.

²⁶ But they were disobedient and rebelled against You, and cast Your Law behind their backs. And they killed Your prophets who testified against them to turn them to You, and they worked great blasphemies.

²⁹ and testified against them that You might bring them again to Your Law. But they acted proudly and did not listen to Your commandments, but sinned against Your judgments (which if a man do, he shall live in them), and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

³³ But You are just in all that is brought upon us, for You have done right, but we have done wickedly.

²⁷ He will observe to men, and say, I have sinned and perverted righteousness; and it was not equally repaid to me,

⁴ Have all the workers of iniquity not known, eating up My people as they eat bread? They have not called on Jehovah.

⁴ Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,

²⁷ All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to Jehovah; and all the families of the nations shall worship before You.

¹⁵ My mouth shall show forth Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day; for I do not know how many they are. ¹⁶ I will go in the strength of the Lord Jehovah; I will speak of Your righteousness, of Yours alone.

¹⁹ And Your righteousness, O God, is very high, who have done great things. O God, who is like You,

⁵ For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and rich in mercy to all those who call on You.

³ He has remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of Jehovah.

⁵ They have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see; ⁶ they have ears, but they do not hear; they have noses, but they do not smell; ⁷ they have hands, but they do not handle; they have feet, but they do not walk; they do not mutter through their throat. ⁸ The ones who make them are like them, and everyone who trusts in them.

¹⁸ Jehovah is near all those who call on Him, all those who call on Him in truth.

²⁴ Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention;

¹ In that day Jehovah with His great and fierce and strong sword shall punish the sea-monster, the darting serpent, the sea-monster, that twisting serpent; and He shall kill the monster in the sea.

¹⁶ therefore so says the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I place in Zion a Stone for a foundation, a tried Stone, a precious Cornerstone, a sure Foundation; he who believes shall not hurry.

⁹ Go up for yourself on the high mountain, bringer of good tidings to Zion. Lift up your voice with strength, O you who bring good tidings to Jerusalem; lift up, do not be afraid. Say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

¹⁸ They have not known nor understood; for He has shut their eyes so that they cannot see; and their hearts so that they cannot understand. ¹⁹ And none thinks within his heart, nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread on the coals of it; I have roasted flesh and eaten; and shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? ²⁰ He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside, so that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

⁶ And He said, It is but a little thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to bring back the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light to the nations, to be My salvation to the end of the earth.

²³ And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nurses. They shall bow to you, faces to the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am Jehovah; by whom they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.

¹⁰ Who among you fears Jehovah, who obeys the voice of His servant, who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of Jehovah and rest on his God.

⁶ Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall become old like a garment; and its inhabitants shall die in the same way. But My salvation shall be forever, and My righteousness shall not be broken.

⁸ For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but My righteousness shall be forever, and My salvation from generation to generation.

⁷ How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, making peace heard; who brings good news, making salvation heard; who says to Zion, Your God reigns!

¹⁰ Jehovah has bared His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

¹⁵ so He sprinkles from many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at Him; for they will see that which was not told to them; yea, what they had not heard, nor understood.

¹ Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed?

¹¹ He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul. He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify for many; and He shall bear their iniquities.

⁴ Behold, I have given Him for a witness to the people, a Leader and Commander of peoples. ⁵ Behold, You shall call a nation that You do not know; a nation that did not know You shall run to You because of Jehovah Your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified You. ⁶ Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.

¹ So says Jehovah, Keep judgment and do justice; for My salvation is near to come, and My righteousness to be revealed.

¹² I will declare your righteousness, and your works; for they shall not do you any good.

¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips; peace, peace, to him far off, and to him near, says Jehovah; and I will heal him.

¹ Cry aloud, do not spare, lift up your voice like a ram's horn, and show My people their rebellion, and the house of Jacob their sins.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

⁶ But we are all as the unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as a menstruation cloth. And we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

¹ I am sought by those who asked not for Me; I am found by those who did not seek Me. I said, Behold Me, behold Me, to a nation not calling on My name. ² I have spread out My hands all the day to a rebellious people who walk in the way not good, after their own thoughts;

These are a smoke in My nose, a fire that burns all the day.

⁸ But they are all at once foolish and animal-like; the tree is an example of vanities.

¹⁴ Every man is stupid for lack of knowledge; every refiner is put to shame by the graven image; for his molten image is a lie, and no breath is in them.

¹⁹ O Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations shall come to You from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and there is no profit in them.

⁷ Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah, and Jehovah is his trust.

¹⁶ I have not hurried away from shepherding after You; nor have I desired the woeful day; You surely know the going forth of my lips before Your face.

²⁰ Should evil be repaid for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before You to do good for them, and to turn away Your wrath from them.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do judgment and justice in the earth. ⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, JEHOVAH, OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

²⁸ The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My Word, let him speak My Word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says Jehovah. ²⁹ Is not My Word like a fire? says Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

³² Jehovah says, Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams and tell them, and cause My people to go astray by their lies and by their lightness. Yet I did not send them nor command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all, says Jehovah.

⁴ And Jehovah has sent to you all His servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but you have not listened nor bowed down your ear to hear.

¹⁵ I have also sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending, saying, Return now each man from his evil way, and make your doings good, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and you shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers. But you have not bowed down your ear, nor listened to Me.

⁴ But I sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising early and sending, saying, Oh, do not do this abominable thing which I hate! ⁵ But they did not listen, nor bow down their ear to turn from their evil, to burn no incense to other gods. ⁶ Therefore My fury and My anger was poured out, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. And they are wasted, deserted as at this day.

⁶ Neither have we listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our rulers, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. ⁷ O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us the shame of our faces, as it is today to the men of Judah and to the people of Jerusalem, and to all Israel who are near and who are afar off, through all the countries where You have driven them because of their sin which they have sinned against You. ⁸ O Lord, shame of face belongs to us, to our kings, to our rulers, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against You. ⁹ To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against Him.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

²³ And I will sow her to Me in the earth. And I will have mercy on No-mercy. And I will say to Not-my-people, You are My people. And they shall say, My God.

³² And it shall be, whoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be saved; for salvation shall be in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, as Jehovah has said, and in the remnant whom Jehovah shall call.

⁵ Then the seamen were afraid, and each man cried to his god. And they threw out the ship's articles in the ship, into the sea in order to lighten it. But Jonah had gone down into the hold of the ship; and he lay there, and was fast asleep.

⁹ And he said to them, I am a Hebrew; and I fear Jehovah, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land. ¹⁰ Then the men were afraid with a great fear. And they said to him, What is this you have done? For the men knew that he was fleeing from before the face of Jehovah, because he had told them. ¹¹ Then they said to him, What shall we do to you, that the sea may be calm to us? For the sea was going on and being stormy.

¹⁶ Then the men feared Jehovah exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice to Jehovah, and vowed vows.

⁵ And the people of Nineveh believed God. And they called a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. ⁶ For word came to the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne. And he laid his robe from him, and covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. ⁷ And he cried out and said in Nineveh by the decree of the king and his great ones, saying, Do not let man or beast, herd or flock taste anything; do not let them feed, nor drink water. ⁸ But let man and animal be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God. And let them each one turn from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. ⁹ Who knows? He may repent, and God may have pity and turn away from the glow of His anger, so that we do not perish.

¹⁵ Behold upon the mountains the feet of Him who brings good news, making it heard, Peace! O Judah, keep your appointed feasts, fulfill your vows; for the wicked shall pass through you no more; he is completely cut off.

¹ For the kingdom of Heaven is like a man, a housemaster, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard. ² And when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard. ³ And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace. ⁴ And he said to them, You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you. And they went. ⁵ And he went out about the sixth and ninth hour and did likewise. ⁶ And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, Why do you stand here all day idle? ⁷ They said to him, Because no one has hired us. He said to them, You also go into the vineyard, and you shall receive whatever is right. ⁸ So when evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, Call the laborers and pay them their wage, beginning from the last to the first. ⁹ And when they who were hired about the eleventh hour came, they each one received a denarius. ¹⁰ But when the first came, they supposed that they would received more; and they also each one received a denarius. ¹¹ And receiving it they murmured against the master of the house, ¹² saying, These last have worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and heat of the day. ¹³ But he answered one of them and said, Friend, I do you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? ¹⁴ Take yours, and go; I will give to this last one the same as to you. ¹⁵ Is it not lawful for me to do what I want with my own? Is your eye evil because I am good? ¹⁶ So the last shall be first, and the first last, for many are called, but few are chosen.

³³ Hear another parable. There was a certain housemaster who planted a vineyard and hedged it round about, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower, and rented it to vinedressers, and went into a far country. ³⁴ And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers to receive its fruits. ³⁵ And the vinedressers took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. ³⁶ Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did the same to them. ³⁷ But last of all he sent his son to them, saying, They will respect my son. ³⁸ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and get hold of his inheritance. ³⁹ And taking him, they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. ⁴⁰ Therefore when the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers? ⁴¹ They said to Him, Bad men! He will miserably destroy them and will rent out his vineyard to other vinedressers who will give him the fruits in their seasons. ⁴² Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, "The stone which the builders rejected, this One has become the head of the corner; this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?" ⁴³ Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing out its fruits.

³ And he sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they would not come. ⁴ Again he sent out other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage. ⁵ But not caring, they went their ways, one to his field, another to his trading. ⁶ And the rest took his servants and treated them spitefully, and killed them. ⁷ But when the king heard, he was angry. And he sent out his armies and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

⁹ Therefore go into the exits of the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite them to the marriage. ¹⁰ So the servants went out into the highways and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was filled with reclining guests.

³⁴ Therefore, behold, I send prophets and wise men and scribes to you. And you will kill and crucify some of them. And some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city; ³⁵ so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Berachiah, whom you killed between the temple and the altar. ³⁶ Truly I say to you, All these things shall come on this generation. ³⁷ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!

¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come.

¹³ Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel shall be proclaimed in the whole world, that which this woman has done shall be spoken of also, for a memorial of her.

¹⁹ But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

⁴ since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love you have to all the saints, ⁵ for the hope which is laid up for you in Heaven, of which you heard before in the Word of the truth of the gospel, ⁶ which has come to you as it has also in all the world, and it is bearing fruit, even also among you, since the day you heard and fully knew the grace of God in truth,

¹⁰ And you are complete in Him, who is the Head of all principality and power,

⁸ Above, when He said, "Sacrifice and offering, and burnt offerings and offering for sin You did not desire, neither did You have pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the Law), ⁹ then He said, "Lo, I come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first so that He may establish the second. ¹⁰ By this will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ And indeed every priest stands daily ministering and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. ¹² But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right of God,

¹⁴ For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified.

²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies having been washed with pure water.

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. ⁷ By faith Noah, having been warned by God of things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. ⁸ By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out into a place which he was afterward going to receive for an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he went.

And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see.

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them. For He is Lord of lords and King of kings. And those with Him are the called and elect and faithful ones.
