⁸ You have brought a vine out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations and planted it.

⁶ all the inhabitants from the hills; from Lebanon to the Burning Waters, and all the Sidonians; I will expel them before the sons of Israel. Only you divide it by lot to the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.

² You drove out the nations with Your hand, and planted them; You brought evil on peoples and cast them out.

⁵⁵ He also cast out the nations before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

¹ Now I will sing to my Beloved a song of my Beloved concerning His vineyard. My Beloved has a vineyard in a very fruitful hill. ² And He fenced it, and gathered out the stones of it, and planted it with choice vines, and built a tower in its midst, and hewed out a wine vat in it; and He looked for it to produce grapes. And it produced wild grapes. ³ And now, O people of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, please judge between Me and My vineyard. ⁴ What more could have been done to my vineyard that I have not done in it? Who knows? I looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded rotten grapes. ⁵ And now I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard; I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; and break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down; ⁶ and I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor dug; but briers and thorns shall come up. And I will command the clouds that they rain no rain on it. ⁷ For the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah His pleasant plant; and He looked for justice, but behold bloody iniquity; for righteousness, but behold a cry!

² In that day sing to her, a delightful vineyard. ³ I Jehovah keep it; I will water it every moment; lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.

²¹ Yet I planted you a noble vine, wholly a true seed. How then have you turned into the degenerate shoots of an alien vine to Me?

¹⁰ Many shepherds have destroyed My vineyard; they have trampled My portion under foot; they have made My pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

⁹ And the instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build it and to plant it; ¹⁰ if it does evil in My sight, not to obey My voice, then I will repent of the good with which I said I would do them good.

⁶ Therefore so says the Lord Jehovah, As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give the people of Jerusalem.

⁶ And it grew and became a spreading low vine, whose branches turned toward him. And its roots were under him. So it became a vine and brought out branches and shot out boughs.

¹⁰ Your mother is like a vine in your blood, planted by the waters; she was fruitful and full of branches because of many waters.

³³ Hear another parable. There was a certain housemaster who planted a vineyard and hedged it round about, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower, and rented it to vinedressers, and went into a far country. ³⁴ And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers to receive its fruits. ³⁵ And the vinedressers took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. ³⁶ Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did the same to them. ³⁷ But last of all he sent his son to them, saying, They will respect my son. ³⁸ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and get hold of his inheritance. ³⁹ And taking him, they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. ⁴⁰ Therefore when the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers? ⁴¹ They said to Him, Bad men! He will miserably destroy them and will rent out his vineyard to other vinedressers who will give him the fruits in their seasons.

¹ I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. ² Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bring forth more fruit. ³ Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you. ⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. ⁵ I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered. And they gather and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷ If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you. ⁸ In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you shall be My disciples.
