²³ Know well the face of your flocks; set your heart on your herds.

³⁸ I was with you these twenty years. Your ewes and she-goats have not cast their young, and the rams of your flock I have not eaten. ³⁹ That which was mangled I did not bring to you; I bore the loss of it. You required it at my hand, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night. ⁴⁰ I was there; in the day the heat consumed me, and the frost by night. And my sleep departed from my eyes.

¹³ And he said to him, My lord knows that the boys are tender, and the flocks and herds with me are suckling. And if the men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

²³ And Pharaoh turned and went into his house; And he did not set his heart to this also.

⁴⁶ And he said to them, Set your hearts to all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your sons to observe and to do, all the words of this Law.

²⁸ And his oldest brother Eliab heard when he spoke to the men. And Eliab's anger was kindled against David. And he said, Why have you come down? ³² Then I saw; I set my heart on it; I looked and I received instruction.

²² therefore I will save My flock, and they shall no more be a prey. And I will judge between lamb and lamb. ²³ And I will set up one Shepherd over them, and He shall feed them, My servant David. He shall feed them, and He shall be their Shepherd. ²⁴ And I Jehovah will be their God, and My servant David a ruler among them. I Jehovah have spoken.

³¹ And you My sheep, the sheep of My pasture, are men, and I am your God, says the Lord Jehovah.

³ The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

And he said to Him, Lord, You know all things, You know that I love You. Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

² Feed the flock of God among you, taking the oversight, not by compulsion, but willingly; nor for base gain, but readily;
