²² Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works?

⁴ he has said; he who heard the words of God, who saw the vision of the Almighty, falling down but having his eyes open;

¹¹ And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made horns of iron for himself. And he said, So says Jehovah, With these you shall push the Syrians until you have crushed them. ¹² And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth in Gilead and prosper, for Jehovah shall deliver it into the king's hands. ¹³ And the messenger that had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets are good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good. ¹⁴ And Micaiah said, As Jehovah lives, what Jehovah says to me, that I will speak. ¹⁵ So he came to the king. And the king said to him, Micaiah, Shall we go against Ramoth in Gilead to battle, or shall we hold off? And he answered him, Go and prosper. For Jehovah shall deliver it into the hand of the king. ¹⁶ And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you that you tell me nothing but what is true, in the name of Jehovah? ¹⁷ And he said, I saw all Israel scattered on the hills, like sheep that have no shepherd. And Jehovah said, These have no master. Let each man return to his house in peace. ¹⁸ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil? ¹⁹ And he said, Hear therefore the Word of Jehovah: I saw Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right hand and on His left. ²⁰ And Jehovah said, Who shall entice Ahab that he may go up and fall at Ramoth in Gilead? And one said this way, and another said that way.

¹¹ The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the pride of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁷ And the pride of man shall be bowed down, and the loftiness of men shall be made low; and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹³ And I have seen frivolity in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied by Baal and caused My people Israel to go astray. ¹⁴ I have also seen in the prophets of Jerusalem a horrible thing; they commit adultery and walk in falsehood. They also strengthen to the hands of evildoers, so that none returns from his evil; they are all of them like Sodom to Me, and its inhabitants like Gomorrah. ¹⁵ So Jehovah of Hosts says this concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them wormwood, and make them drink poisonous water; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone forth into all the land. ¹⁶ So says Jehovah of Hosts, Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you vain; they speak a vision from their own heart, not out of the mouth of Jehovah. ¹⁷ They still say to those who despise Me, Jehovah has said, You shall have peace! And they say to everyone who walks after the stubbornness of his own heart, No evil shall come on you! ¹⁸ For who has stood in the counsel of Jehovah, and hears His Word? Who has listened to His Word and heard it? ¹⁹ Behold, the tempest of Jehovah has gone forth in fury, a whirling tempest. It shall whirl on the head of the wicked. ²⁰ The anger of Jehovah shall not return, until He has done and until He has set up the purposes of His heart; in later days you shall understand it perfectly. ²¹ I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran; I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. ²² But if they had stood in My wisdom and had caused My people to hear My Words, then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings. ²³ Am I a God near, says Jehovah, and not a God afar off? ²⁴ Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Jehovah. Do I not fill the heavens and earth? says Jehovah. ²⁵ I have heard what the prophets said, who prophesy lies in My name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. ²⁶ How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? But they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, ²⁷ who plot to cause My people to forget My name by their dreams which they tell, each one to his neighbor, as their fathers have forgotten My name for Baal. ²⁸ The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My Word, let him speak My Word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says Jehovah. ²⁹ Is not My Word like a fire? says Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? ³⁰ So Jehovah says, Behold, I am against the prophets who steal My Words each one from his neighbor. ³¹ Jehovah says, Behold, I am against the prophets who use their tongues and say, He says. ³² Jehovah says, Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams and tell them, and cause My people to go astray by their lies and by their lightness. Yet I did not send them nor command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all, says Jehovah.

¹⁷ And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him. ¹⁸ Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God, and him who does not serve Him.

²¹ Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.

⁵ Jesus sent out these twelve, commanding them, saying, Do not go into the way of the nations, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans. ⁶ But rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. ⁷ And as you go, proclaim, saying, The kingdom of Heaven is at hand. ⁸ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. You have received freely, freely give.

¹⁵ Truly I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.

³⁶ But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels of Heaven, but only My Father.

¹¹ Afterwards the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

¹² But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.

²⁵ And once the Master of the house has risen up and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us, and He shall answer and say to you, I do not know you; from where are you; ²⁶ then you shall begin to say, We ate and drank in Your presence, and You have taught in our streets. ²⁷ But He shall say, I tell you, I do not know you; from where you are. Depart from Me, all workers of unrighteousness!

⁵¹ And he did not speak this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;

¹³ And certain from the strolling Jews, exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. ¹⁴ And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. ¹⁵ But answering the evil spirit said, Jesus I know, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you?

¹ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I have become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. ² And though I have prophecies, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so as to move mountains, and do not have charity, I am nothing.

⁴ But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you like a thief.

¹⁰ when He shall come to be glorified in His saints and to be admired in all those who believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that Day.

¹² For this cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard My deposit unto that Day.

¹⁸ May the Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day. And in what things he ministered to me at Ephesus, you know very well.

⁸ Now there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that Day; and not to me only, but also to all those who love His appearing.

⁴ For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, ⁵ and have tasted the good Word of God and the powers of the world to come, ⁶ and who have fallen away; it is impossible, I say, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify the Son of God afresh to themselves and put Him to an open shame.
