⁴⁸ Therefore be perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.

¹ And when Abram was ninety-nine years old, Jehovah appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God! Walk before Me and be perfect.

⁴⁴ For I am Jehovah your God, and you shall sanctify yourselves, and you shall be holy, for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any kind of swarming thing that swarms on the earth.

² Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I, Jehovah your God, am holy.

²⁶ And you shall be holy to Me. For I, Jehovah, am holy, and have severed you from the nations, so that you should be Mine.

¹³ You shall be perfect with Jehovah your God.

¹ There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. And that man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God and turned aside from evil. ² And there were born to him seven sons and three daughters. ³ And his possessions were seven thousand sheep and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household, so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

³⁷ Watch the perfect and behold the upright one; for the end of that man is peace.

¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.

⁴⁵ so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

³⁶ Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

⁴⁰ The disciple is not above his master, but everyone who is perfect shall be like his master.

¹ Then having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

⁹ For we are glad when we are weak, and you are powerful. But we pray also for this, your perfection.

¹¹ Finally, brothers, rejoice. Perfect yourselves; encourage yourselves; mind the same thing; be at peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

¹² Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I am pressing on, if I may lay hold of that for which I also was taken hold of by Christ Jesus. ¹³ My brothers, I do not count myself to have taken possession, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind and reaching forward to the things before, ¹⁴ I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be of this mind. And if in anything you are otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this to you.

²⁸ whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

¹² Epaphras greets you, he being of you, a servant of Christ, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

⁴ But let patience have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing.

¹⁵ but according to the Holy One who has called you, you also become holy in all conduct, ¹⁶ because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

³ And everyone who has this hope on him purifies himself, even as that One is pure.
