⁶ He is not here, but has risen. Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so the Son of Man shall be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

²¹ From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

²² And while they stayed in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of Man shall be betrayed into the hands of men. ²³ And they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised again. And they grieved exceedingly.

¹⁸ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn Him to death. ¹⁹ And they shall deliver Him to the nations to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He shall rise again.

⁶³ saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while He was living, After three days I will rise again.

³¹ And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

⁹ And as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should tell no one the things that they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. ¹⁰ And they kept that saying within themselves, debating with one another what the rising from the dead is.

³⁰ And going out from there, they passed through Galilee. And He desired that no one should know. ³¹ For He taught His disciples and said to them, The Son of Man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him. And after He is killed, He shall rise the third day. ³² But they did not understand that saying and were afraid to ask Him.

³³ saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes. And they will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him to the nations. ³⁴ And they will mock Him, and will scourge Him, and will spit on Him, and will kill Him. And the third day He shall rise again.

⁴⁴ Let these words sink down into your ears. For the Son of Man shall be betrayed into the hands of men.

³¹ And He took the Twelve and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. ³² For He will be delivered to the nations and will be mocked and insulted and spat on. ³³ And they will scourge Him and put Him to death, and the third day He will rise again.

⁴⁴ And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms about Me. ⁴⁵ And He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures. ⁴⁶ And He said to them, So it is written, and so it behoved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
