⁴⁴ And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms about Me.

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

¹⁸ And Melchizedek the king of Salem brought forth bread and wine. And he was the priest of the most high God.

¹⁸ And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a Lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come. And the obedience of the peoples to him.

² and Jehovah said to Moses, Speak to Aaron your brother, that he does not come at all times into the sanctuary within the veil before the mercy-seat, which is on the Ark, so that he will not die. For I will appear in the cloud on the mercy-seat. ³ Aaron shall come into the sanctuary this way: with a bull, a son of the herd, for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering. ⁴ He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches on his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen miter he shall be dressed. These are holy garments. And he shall wash his flesh in water and put them on. ⁵ And he shall take from the congregation of the sons of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. ⁶ And Aaron shall offer his young bull of the sin offering which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself and for his house. ⁷ And he shall take the two he-goats and present them before Jehovah at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ⁸ And Aaron shall cast lots on the two he-goats; one lot for Jehovah and the other lot for a complete removal. ⁹ And Aaron shall bring the goat on which Jehovah's lot fell, and offer it for a sin offering. ¹⁰ But the goat on which the lot fell to be the complete removal shall be presented alive before Jehovah, to make an atonement with him, to let him go for a complete removal into the wilderness. ¹¹ And Aaron shall bring the young bull of the sin offering which is for himself, and shall atone for himself and for his house, and shall kill the young bull of the sin offering which is for himself. ¹² And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Jehovah, and his hands full of fragrant perfumes beaten small, and bring it within the veil. ¹³ And he shall put the incense on the fire before Jehovah. And the cloud of the incense shall cover the mercy-seat that is on the Testimony. And he shall not die. ¹⁴ And he shall take of the blood of the young bull and shall sprinkle with his finger on the front of the mercy-seat eastward. And he shall sprinkle at the front of the mercy-seat seven times from the blood with his finger. ¹⁵ Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people, and bring its blood inside the veil. And he shall do with that blood as he did with the blood of the young bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy-seat and before the mercy-seat. ¹⁶ And he shall atone for the sanctuary, because of the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins. And so he shall do for the tabernacle of the congregation which remains with them in the midst of their uncleannesses. ¹⁷ And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goes in to make an atonement in the sanctuary, until he comes out and has made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel. ¹⁸ And he shall go out to the altar that is before Jehovah and make an atonement for it. And he shall take some of the blood of the young bull, and of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around. ¹⁹ And he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel.

⁸ And Jehovah said to Moses, Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole. And it shall be when everyone that is bitten, when he looks upon it, he shall live.

²⁵ And the congregation shall deliver the one who kills out of the hand of the revenger of blood. And the congregation shall send him back to the city of his refuge, to which he had fled. And he shall stay in it until the death of the high priest who was anointed with the holy oil.

¹⁵ Jehovah your God will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, One like me. To Him you shall listen, ¹⁶ according to all that you desired of Jehovah your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying: Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, so that I do not die. ¹⁷ And Jehovah said to me, They have spoken well what they have spoken. ¹⁸ I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, one like you, and will put My words in His mouth. And He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. ¹⁹ And it shall happen, whatever man will not listen to My Words which He shall speak in My name, I will require it of him.

¹ Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate on a vain thing? ² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers plot together, against Jehovah and against His anointed, saying, ³ Let us break their bands in two and cast away their cords from us. ⁴ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them. ⁵ Then He shall speak to them in His anger, and trouble them in His wrath. ⁶ Yea, I have set My king on My holy hill, on Zion. ⁷ I will declare the decree of Jehovah. He has said to Me, You are My Son; today I have begotten You. ⁸ Ask of Me, and I shall give the nations for Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession. ⁹ You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. ¹⁰ And now be wise, O kings; be instructed, O judges of the earth. ¹¹ Serve Jehovah with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled in but a little time. Blessed are all who put their trust in Him.

⁹ Therefore My heart is glad, and My glory rejoices; My flesh also shall rest in hope; ¹⁰ For You will not leave My soul in hell; You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption. ¹¹ You will make Me know the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joys. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, and are far from my deliverance, and from the words of my groaning? ² O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the night, and am not silent. ³ But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. ⁴ Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them. ⁵ They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed. ⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people. ⁷ All who see Me mock me; they shoot out the lip; they shake the head, saying, ⁸ He trusted on Jehovah; let Him deliver Him; let Him rescue Him, since He delights in Him! ⁹ For You are He who took Me out of the womb, causing Me to trust while on My mother's breasts. ¹⁰ I was cast on You from the womb; You are My God from My mother's belly. ¹¹ Be not far from Me; for trouble is near, for there is none to help. ¹² Many bulls have circled around Me; strong bulls Of Bashan have surrounded Me. ¹³ They opened wide their mouths on Me, like a ripping and a roaring lion. ¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all My bones are spread apart; My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of My bowels. ¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue clings to My jaws; ¹⁶ and You have brought Me into the dust of death. For dogs have circled around Me; the band of spoilers have hemmed Me in, piercers of My hands and My feet. ¹⁷ I can count all My bones; they look and stare at Me. ¹⁸ They divide My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing. ¹⁹ But You, O Jehovah, be not far from Me; O My strength, hurry to help Me! ²⁰ Deliver My soul from the sword, My only one from the dog's hand. ²¹ Save Me from the lion's mouth; from the wild oxen's horns. You have answered Me. ²² I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise You. ²³ You who fear Jehovah, praise Him; all of you, the seed of Jacob, glorify Him; and fear Him all the seed of Israel. ²⁴ For He has not despised nor hated the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from him, but when he cried to Him, He heard. ²⁵ My praise shall be of You in the great congregation; I will pay My vows before the ones who fear Him. ²⁶ The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Jehovah shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever. ²⁷ All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to Jehovah; and all the families of the nations shall worship before You. ²⁸ For the kingdom is Jehovah's; and He is the ruler among the nations. ²⁹ All the fat ones on the earth shall eat and worship; all those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him; and none can keep alive his own soul. ³⁰ A seed shall serve Him; it shall be spoken of Jehovah to the coming generation. ³¹ They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness to a people that shall yet be born, that He has done this.

⁶ Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened; burnt offering and sin offering You have not asked. ⁷ Then I said, Lo, I come, in the volume of the Book it is written of Me; ⁸ I delight to do Your will, O My God; and Your Law is within My heart.

Save me, O God! for the waters have come in on my soul. ² I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. ³ I am weary from my crying; my throat is dried; my eyes fail while I wait for my God. ⁴ They who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they who would destroy me are mighty, my lying enemies. Then I restored what I did not take away. ⁵ O God, You know my foolishness, and my guiltiness is not hidden from You. ⁶ Do not let those who wait on You, O Jehovah, the God of Hosts, be ashamed for my sake; let not the ones who seek You be ashamed for my sake, O God of Israel, ⁷ because I have borne reproach for Your sake, shame has covered my face. ⁸ I have become a stranger to My brothers, and a foreigner to My mother's children. ⁹ For the zeal of Your house has eaten Me up; and the reproaches of those who reproached You have fallen on Me. ¹⁰ When I humbled my soul with fasting, it turned to my reproach. ¹¹ I also made sackcloth my clothing, and I became a proverb to them. ¹² They who sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards. ¹³ But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Jehovah, in a pleasing time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy hear me, in the truth of Your salvation. ¹⁴ Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink; let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters. ¹⁵ Do not let the flood of waters overflow me, nor let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut its mouth on me. ¹⁶ Hear me, O Jehovah, for Your loving-kindness is good; turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies. ¹⁷ And hide not Your face from Your servant; for I am in trouble; hear me quickly. ¹⁸ Draw near my soul, and redeem it; deliver me because of my enemies. ¹⁹ You have known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor; my enemies are all before You. ²⁰ Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness; and I looked for some to mourn with me, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. ²¹ They also gave Me gall for my food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink. ²² Let their table become a snare before them; and to those at ease a trap. ²³ Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see; and make their loins shake without ceasing. ²⁴ Pour out Your wrath on them, and let the glow of Your anger take hold of them. ²⁵ Let their dwelling be wasted; let none dwell in their tents. ²⁶ For they persecute him whom You have stricken, and they talk to the grief of those You pierced. ²⁷ Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not come into Your righteousness. ²⁸ Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous. ²⁹ But I am poor and sorrowful; let Your salvation, O God, set me up on high. ³⁰ I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. ³¹ This also shall please Jehovah better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs. ³² The humble shall see and be glad; and your heart shall live, you who seek God. ³³ For Jehovah hears the needy, and does not despise His prisoners. ³⁴ Let the heavens and earth praise Him, the seas, and everything that moves in them. ³⁵ For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah; so that they may dwell there, and possess it. ³⁶ And the seed of His servants shall inherit it, and they who love His name shall dwell in it.

¹ A Psalm of Solomon. Give the King Your judgments, O God, and Your righteousness to the King's son. ² He will judge Your people in righteousness, and Your poor with judgment. ³ The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills by righteousness. ⁴ He shall judge the poor of the people; He shall save the children of the needy, and shall crush in pieces the cruel one. ⁵ They shall fear You as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. ⁶ He shall come down like rain on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth. ⁷ In His days the righteous shall flourish; and abundance of peace, until the moon is not. ⁸ He shall also have the rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. ⁹ Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before Him; and His enemies shall lick the dust. ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. ¹¹ Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him. ¹² For He shall deliver the needy when he cries; and the poor with no helper. ¹³ He shall have pity on the poor and needy and shall save the souls of the needy. ¹⁴ He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence; and their blood shall be precious in His sight. ¹⁵ And He shall live, and to Him shall be given the gold of Sheba; and prayer shall always be made for Him; He shall bless Him all the day long. ¹⁶ There shall be a fullness of grain in the earth on the top of the mountains; its fruit shall shake like Lebanon, and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. ¹⁷ His name shall endure forever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun; and men shall be blessed in Him; all nations shall call Him blessed. ¹⁸ Blessed is Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful things. ¹⁹ And blessed be His glorious name forever; and all the earth is filled with His glory! O Jehovah, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before You. ² Let my prayer come before You; bow down Your ear to my cry. ³ For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near the grave. ⁴ I am counted with those who go down to the Pit; I am like a feeble man; ⁵ free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom You remember no more; and by Your hand they are cut off. ⁶ You have laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps. ⁷ Your wrath lies hard on me, and You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah. ⁸ You have taken my friends away from me; You have made me a hateful thing to them. ¹ A Psalm of David. Jehovah said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand until I place Your enemies as Your footstool. ² Jehovah shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion; rule in the midst of Your enemies. ³ Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power, in holy adornment from the womb of the morning: You have the dew of Your youth. ⁴ Jehovah has sworn, and will not repent, You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. ⁵ The Lord at Your right hand shall strike through kings in the day of His wrath. ⁶ He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill them with dead bodies; He shall shatter heads over much of the earth. ⁷ He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore He shall lift up the head.

¹⁴ So, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel.

⁶ For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

¹ And a Shoot goes out from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. ² And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. ³ And He is made to breathe in the fear of Jehovah. And He shall not judge according to the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears. ⁴ But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and shall decide with uprightness for the meek of the earth. And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. ⁵ And righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins, and faithfulness the girdle of His heart. ⁶ Also the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the cub lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. ⁷ And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. ⁸ And the suckling child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den. ⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea. ¹⁰ And in that day there shall be the Root of Jesse standing for a banner of the people; to Him the nations shall seek; and His resting place shall be glorious.

¹⁶ therefore so says the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I place in Zion a Stone for a foundation, a tried Stone, a precious Cornerstone, a sure Foundation; he who believes shall not hurry.

¹ Comfort, O comfort my people, says your God. ² Speak lovingly to the heart of Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is done, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received of Jehovah's hand double for all her sins. ³ The voice of him who cries in the wilderness, Prepare the way of Jehovah, make straight a highway in the desert for our God. ⁴ Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made level, and the rough places smooth; ⁵ and the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken. ⁶ The voice said, Cry! And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the beauty of it is as the flower of the field. ⁷ The grass withers, the flower fades, because the Spirit of Jehovah blows on it; surely the people is grass. ⁸ The grass withers, the flower fades; but the Word of our God shall stand forever. ⁹ Go up for yourself on the high mountain, bringer of good tidings to Zion. Lift up your voice with strength, O you who bring good tidings to Jerusalem; lift up, do not be afraid. Say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God! ¹⁰ Behold, the Lord Jehovah will come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. ¹¹ He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those with young.

¹ Behold My Servant, whom I uphold; My Elect, in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit on Him; He shall bring out judgment to the nations. ² He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. ³ A bruised reed He shall not break, and a smoking wick He shall not quench; He shall bring out judgment to truth. ⁴ He shall not fail nor be discouraged until He has set judgment in the earth; and the coasts shall wait for His Law.

¹ Listen, O coastlands, to Me; and listen, lend your ear, peoples from afar; Jehovah has called Me from the womb; He has made mention of My name from My mother's bowels. ² And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, and made Me a polished shaft. He has hidden Me in His quiver, ³ and said to Me, You are My servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. ⁴ Then I said, I have labored in vain; I have spent My strength for nothing, and in vain; yet surely My judgment is with Jehovah, and My work with My God. ⁵ And now, says Jehovah who formed Me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob again to Him, Though Israel is not gathered, yet I shall be glorious in the eyes of Jehovah, and My God shall be My strength. ⁶ And He said, It is but a little thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to bring back the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light to the nations, to be My salvation to the end of the earth. ⁷ So says Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation hates, the servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, rulers also shall worship, because of Jehovah who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose You. ⁸ So says Jehovah, in a favorable time I replied to You, and in a day of salvation I have helped You; and I will preserve You, and give You for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause them to inherit the wasted inheritances;

² Who knows why I have come, and no one is here? I called and no one answered. Is My hand shortened at all so that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst. ³ I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering. ⁴ The Lord Jehovah has given Me the tongue of the learned, to know to help the weary with a word. He wakens morning by morning, He wakens the ear to hear as the learned. ⁵ The Lord Jehovah has opened My ear, and I was not rebellious, nor turned away backwards. ⁶ I gave My back to the strikers, and My cheeks to pluckers; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

¹³ Behold, My Servant shall rule well; He shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; ² to preach the acceptable year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; ³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do judgment and justice in the earth.

¹⁴ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will establish the good thing which I have spoken to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.

²² So says the Lord Jehovah: I, even I, will also take of the top of the highest cedar and will set it; I will crop off from the first of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and lofty mountain.

²³ And I will set up one Shepherd over them, and He shall feed them, My servant David. He shall feed them, and He shall be their Shepherd.

⁴⁴ And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other peoples, but it shall crush and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

¹³ I saw in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. ²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going out of the command to restore and to build Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction. ²⁶ And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of the ruler who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And the end of it shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, until the end shall be war. ²⁷ And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease, and on a corner of the altar desolating abominations, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall be poured on the desolator.

⁷ But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Jehovah their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen. ⁸ And when she had weaned No-mercy she conceived and bore a son. ⁹ And He said, Call his name Not-my-people. For you are not My people, and I will not be for you. ¹⁰ Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered. And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them, You are not My people, there it shall be said to them, You are the sons of the living God. ¹¹ Then the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel shall be gathered together, and shall set over themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land. For great shall be the day of Jezreel.

⁵ Afterward the sons of Israel shall return and seek Jehovah their God and David their king. And they shall fear Jehovah and His goodness in the ends of the days.

²⁸ And it shall be afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy; your old men shall dream dreams; your young men shall see visions. ²⁹ And also I will pour out My Spirit on the slaves and on the slave women in those days. ³⁰ And I will show wonders in the heavens, and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. ³¹ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Jehovah. ³² And it shall be, whoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be saved; for salvation shall be in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, as Jehovah has said, and in the remnant whom Jehovah shall call.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the booth of David that has fallen, and close up its breaks; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;

¹ Now gather yourself in troops, daughter of a troop; one sets a siege against us; they shall strike the Judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek. ² And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you being least among the thousands of Judah, out of you He shall come forth to Me, to become Ruler in Israel, He whose goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity. ³ Therefore He will give them over until the time the one giving birth has given birth; then the rest of His brothers shall return to the sons of Israel. ⁴ And He shall stand and feed in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah His God. And they shall sit, for now He shall be great to the ends of the earth.

⁷ And I will shake all the nations; and the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory, says Jehovah of Hosts. ⁸ The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts. ⁹ The glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the former, says Jehovah of Hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says Jehovah of Hosts.

¹² And speak to him, saying, So speaks Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Behold the Man whose name is The BRANCH! And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of Jehovah.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, your King comes to you. He is righteous and victorious, meek and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass.

⁸ I also cut off three shepherds in one month; and my soul was impatient with them, and their soul also despised me. ⁹ And I said, I will not feed you; that which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off. And those left, let them eat, each woman her neighbor's flesh. ¹⁰ And I took my staff Kindness, and broke it apart, to break My covenant which I had made with all the peoples. ¹¹ And it was broken in that day; and so the poor of the flock who were watching Me knew that it was the Word of Jehovah. ¹² And I said to them, If it is good, give My price; and if not, let it go. So they weighed My price thirty pieces of silver. ¹³ And Jehovah said to me, Throw it to the potter, the magnificent price at which I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of Jehovah.

¹⁰ And I will pour on the house of David, and on the people of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be bitter over Him, as the bitterness over the first-born.

⁷ Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the Man who is My companion, says Jehovah of Hosts; strike the Shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. And I will turn My hand on the little ones.

⁴ And His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall divide from its middle, from the east and to the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

¹ Behold, I will send My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And Jehovah, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of Hosts. ² But who can endure the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire, and like fuller's soap. ³ And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may be offerers of a food offering in righteousness to Jehovah.

² But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall. ³ And you shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day which I am preparing, says Jehovah of Hosts. ⁴ Remember the Law of Moses My servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments. ⁵ Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah. ⁶ And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth with utter destruction.

²¹ From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

²² And while they stayed in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of Man shall be betrayed into the hands of men. ²³ And they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised again. And they grieved exceedingly.

¹⁸ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn Him to death. ¹⁹ And they shall deliver Him to the nations to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He shall rise again.

⁵⁴ But how then shall the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?

⁵⁶ But all this happened that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples fled, forsaking Him.

³¹ And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. ³² And He spoke that saying openly. And Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him.

³¹ For He taught His disciples and said to them, The Son of Man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him. And after He is killed, He shall rise the third day.

³³ saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes. And they will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him to the nations. ³⁴ And they will mock Him, and will scourge Him, and will spit on Him, and will kill Him. And the third day He shall rise again.

²² saying, The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

⁴⁴ Let these words sink down into your ears. For the Son of Man shall be betrayed into the hands of men.

³¹ And He took the Twelve and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. ³² For He will be delivered to the nations and will be mocked and insulted and spat on. ³³ And they will scourge Him and put Him to death, and the third day He will rise again. ³⁴ And they did not understand any of these things. And this saying was hidden from them, nor did they know the things which were spoken.

²² For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

³⁷ For I say to you that this which is written must yet be accomplished in Me, "And he was reckoned among the transgressors"; for the things concerning Me have an end.

⁶ He is not here, but has risen. Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, ⁷ saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again?

²⁶ Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory? ²⁷ And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

⁴⁶ And He said to them, So it is written, and so it behoved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

¹⁴ But even as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

³⁹ You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And they are the ones witnessing of Me,

⁴⁶ For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed Me, for he wrote of Me.

⁴ But I have told you these things so that when the hour shall come you may remember that I told you of them. And I did not say these things to you at the beginning because I was with you. ⁵ But now I go to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, Where do You go?

¹⁶ A little while and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father. ¹⁷ Then His disciples said to one another, What is this that He says to us, A little while and you will not see Me, and again a little and you will see Me? And, Because I go to the Father?

¹¹ And now I am in the world no longer, but these are in the world, and I come to You, Holy Father. Keep them in Your name, those whom You have given Me, so that they may be one as We are. ¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those that You have given Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. ¹³ And now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world that they might have My joy fulfilled in them.

²⁴ Therefore they said among themselves, Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to find whose it shall be (that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says, "They parted my garments among them, and for my garment they cast lots"). Therefore the soldiers did these things. ²⁵ And His mother stood by the cross of Jesus, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. ²⁶ Then when Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, Woman, behold your son! ²⁷ Then He said to the disciple, Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her into his own home. ²⁸ After this, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, I thirst. ²⁹ Then a vessel full of vinegar was set. And they filled a sponge with sour wine and put it upon hyssop, and put it to His mouth. ³⁰ Then when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, It is finished! And He bowed His head and gave up the spirit. ³¹ Then the Jews, because it was Preparation, begged Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away, so that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the sabbath. For that sabbath was a high day. ³² Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with Him. ³³ But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. ³⁴ But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a lance, and instantly there came out blood and water. ³⁵ And he who saw bore record, and his record is true. And he knows that he speaks true, so that you might believe. ³⁶ For these things were done so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "Not a bone of Him shall be broken." ³⁷ And again another Scripture says, "They shall look upon Him whom they pierced."

¹⁸ But those things which God before had shown by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He fulfilled in this manner.

²² For Moses truly said to the fathers, "The Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet to you from your brothers, One like me. You shall hear Him in all things, whatever He may say to you. ²³ And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be destroyed from among the people." ²⁴ And also all the prophets from Samuel and those following after, as many as spoke, have likewise foretold of these days.

³⁷ This is that Moses who said to the sons of Israel, "The Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet to you from your brothers, One like me; you shall hear Him."

²⁹ And when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, taking Him down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb. ³⁰ But God raised Him from the dead, ³¹ who appeared for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.

³³ this God has fulfilled to us their children, raising up Jesus, as also it is written in the second Psalm, "You are My Son, this day I have begotten You."

² And according to Paul's custom, he went in to them and reasoned with them out of the Scriptures on three sabbaths, ³ opening and setting forth that Christ must have suffered, and to have risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus whom I preach to you is Christ.

³ For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, ⁴ and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures;

⁵ And Moses truly was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken afterward.

¹ For this Melchizedek, king of Salem and priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him.

⁸ the Holy Spirit signifying by this that the way into the Holiest of all was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.

¹ For the Law which has a shadow of good things to come, not the very image of the things, appearing year by year with the same sacrifices, which they offer continually, they are never able to perfect those drawing near.

¹¹ searching for what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ made clear within them, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, See, do not do it! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
