⁴ And as they were much perplexed about it, it happened that, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.

² And he lifted up his eyes and looked, and lo, three men stood by him. And when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed toward the ground.

² And behold, a great earthquake occurred! For coming down from Heaven, and coming up, an angel of the Lord rolled back the stone from the door and was sitting on it. ³ His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. ⁴ And the keepers shook for fear of him and became like dead men. ⁵ And the angel answered and said to the women, Do not fear, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right, clothed in a long white garment. And they were frightened.

¹¹ But Mary stood outside of the tomb, weeping. And as she wept, she stooped down into the tomb. ¹² And she saw two angels in white sitting there, the one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
