³² And they said to one another, Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us by the way and while He opened the Scriptures to us?

³ My heart was hot within me; while I was musing, the fire burned; I spoke with my tongue:

³⁴ My thoughts of Him shall be sweet; I will be glad in Jehovah.

⁹ Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart; so does the sweetness of one's friend by advice from the heart.

¹⁷ Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the face of his friend.

⁴ The Lord Jehovah has given Me the tongue of the learned, to know to help the weary with a word. He wakens morning by morning, He wakens the ear to hear as the learned.

¹⁶ Your Words were found, and I ate them; and Your Word was to me the joy and gladness of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Jehovah, the God of Hosts.

²⁹ Is not My Word like a fire? says Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

¹² For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
