³ And I took your father Abraham from Beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed and gave him Isaac.

¹ And Jehovah said to Abram, Go out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house into a land that I will show you. ² And I will make you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great. And you shall be a blessing. ³ And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed. ⁴ And Abram departed, even as Jehovah had spoken to him. And Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

⁵ And He brought him outside and said, Look now toward the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be.

² For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. ³ And Abraham called the name of his son that was born to him (whom Sarah bore to him) Isaac.

⁷ You are Jehovah, the God who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gave him the name of Abraham, ⁸ and found his heart faithful before You, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite, and the Girgashite, to give it to his seed. And You have performed Your words, for You are righteous.

³ Lo, children are the inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is a reward.

² And he said, Men, brothers, and fathers, listen: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran. ³ And He said to him, "Go out from your land and from your kindred, and come into a land which I shall show you."
