¹ Since times are not hidden from the Almighty, why do those who know Him not see His days?

⁴ For in seven more days I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights. And I will destroy from off the face of the earth every living thing that I have made.

¹⁷ And Jehovah said, Shall I hide from Abraham the thing which I do,

²⁰ And Jehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous, ²¹ I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which has come to Me. And if not, I will know.

¹⁰ And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.

¹⁵ My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.

¹⁰ O continue Your loving-kindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

¹⁶ When I thought deeply in order to understand this, it was painful for me, ¹⁷ until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end. ¹⁸ Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down into ruin. ¹⁹ How have they been brought into grief, as in a moment! They are fully eaten up with terrors,

¹⁷ I said in my heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

⁶ Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great on him. ⁷ For he does not know what shall be; for who can tell him when it shall be?

¹¹ I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all. ¹² For man also does not know his time; as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

¹² For the day of Jehovah of Hosts shall be on every proud and lofty one, and on every lifted up one; and he shall be brought low,

²² A little one will become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I Jehovah will hasten it in its time.

¹ Righteous are You, O Jehovah, that I might contend with You; yet let me speak with You about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are all those happy who deal treacherously? ² You have planted them; yea, they take root. They grow, yea, they make fruit. You are near in their mouth and far from their reins. ³ But You, O Jehovah, know me. You have seen me and tried my heart toward You. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and devote them for the day of slaughter.

¹⁰ For this is the day of the Lord Jehovah of Hosts, a day of vengeance, that He may avenge Himself of His foes. And the sword shall devour, and it shall be filled and made drunk with their blood, for the Lord Jehovah of Hosts has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

²¹ And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

³⁸ For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark.

²² For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. ²³ But woe to those who are with child, and to those suckling in those days! For there shall be great distress in the land and wrath on this people. ²⁴ And they shall fall by the sword's edge. And shall be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the nations until the times of the nations is fulfilled.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

⁷ And He said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own authority.

²⁶ And He has made all nations of men of one blood to dwell on all the face of the earth, ordaining fore-appointed seasons and boundaries of their dwelling,

⁵ But according to your hardness and your impenitent heart, do you treasure up wrath for yourself in a day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

¹ But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.

¹ But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,

¹⁵ For He in His own time will reveal who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

³ And through covetousness they will use you for gain with well-turned words; for whom judgment from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not sleep.

⁷ But the present heavens and the earth being kept in store by the same Word, are being kept for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. ⁸ But, beloved, let not this one thing be hidden from you, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
