¹¹ And now confess to Jehovah, the God of your fathers, and do His pleasure. And separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange women.

⁴⁰ If they shall confess their wilfulness and the wilfulness of their fathers, with their sin which they sinned against Me, and that also they have walked contrary to Me, ⁴¹ I also will walk contrary to them and will bring them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they then pay for their iniquity, ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham I will remember. And I will remember the land.

³ Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to his son, nor shall you take his daughter to your son. ⁴ For they will turn away your son from following Me, so that they may serve other gods. So the anger of Jehovah will be kindled against you and will destroy you suddenly.

¹⁹ And Joshua said to Achan, My son, I pray you, give glory to Jehovah, the God of Israel, and make confession to Him. And tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.

¹ And at the end of these things, the rulers came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands. But they are doing according to their abominations, those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

³ And now let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the women, and such as have been born of them, according to the counsel of the Lord, and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God. And let it be done according to the Law.

³ And it happened when they had heard the Law, they separated all the mixed multitude from Israel.

⁵ I confessed my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, I will confess my transgression to Jehovah; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

¹³ He who covers his sins shall not be blessed; but whoever confesses and leaves them shall have mercy.

¹⁶ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil; ¹⁷ learn to do good; seek judgment, reprove the oppressor. Judge the orphan, plead for the widow. ¹⁸ Come now, and let us reason together, says Jehovah; though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.

⁴ For so says Jehovah to the eunuchs who keep My Sabbath, and choose things that please Me, and take hold of My covenant;

¹³ Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have sinned against Jehovah your God and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice, says Jehovah.

² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

¹² But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. ¹³ These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. ¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

¹⁷ Therefore come out from among them and be separated, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing. And I will receive you

¹⁰ that you might walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing, being fruitful in every work and increasing in the knowledge of God,

²¹ make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. ⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
