And they came to Balaam and spoke the words of Balak to him.

¹⁷ For I will raise you up to very great honor, and I will do whatever you say to me. Please come then and curse this people for me.

⁷ And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab has brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse Jacob for me, and come, defy Israel.

²⁸ You shall sell me food for silver, so that I may eat, and give me water for silver so that I may drink.
