³⁰ Jehovah your God who goes before you shall fight for you, according to all that He did for you in Egypt before your eyes,

¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, See, I have made you a god to Pharaoh. And Aaron your brother shall be your prophet. ² You shall speak all that I command you. And Aaron your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, he will send the sons of Israel out of his land. ³ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt. ⁴ But Pharaoh shall not listen to you, and I will lay My hand upon Egypt, and bring My armies, My people the sons of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. ⁵ And the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah when I stretch forth My hand upon Egypt, and bring out the sons of Israel from among them. ⁶ And Moses and Aaron did as Jehovah commanded them; so they did. ⁷ And Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh. ⁸ And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying: ⁹ When Pharaoh shall speak to you saying, Give a miracle for yourselves, you shall say to Aaron, Take your rod, and throw it in front of Pharaoh. It shall become a snake. ¹⁰ And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh. And they did so, as Jehovah had commanded. And Aaron threw down his rod in front of Pharaoh and in front of his servants, and it became a snake. ¹¹ Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers. And they, the magicians of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts. ¹² For each man threw down his rod, and they became snakes. But Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods. ¹³ And He hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he did not listen to them, as Jehovah had said. ¹⁴ And Jehovah said to Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened. He refuses to let the people go. ¹⁵ You go to Pharaoh in the morning. Lo, he goes out to the water. And you shall stand by the river's brink until he comes. And you shall take in your hand the rod which was turned to a snake. ¹⁶ And you shall say to him, Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, Let My people go so that they may serve Me in the wilderness. And, behold, until now you would not hear. ¹⁷ Thus says Jehovah, In this you shall know that I am Jehovah. Behold! I will smite with the rod that is in my hand upon the waters in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. ¹⁸ And the fish in the river shall die, and the river shall stink. And the Egyptians shall hate to drink of the water of the river. ¹⁹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, Say to Aaron, Take your rod, and stretch out your hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their canals, and upon their pools, and upon every reservoir of their waters, that they may become blood. And blood shall be throughout all the land of Egypt, both in wooden and in stone vessels. ²⁰ And Moses and Aaron did so, as Jehovah commanded. And he lifted up the rod and struck the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants. And all the waters in the river were turned to blood. ²¹ And the fish in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river. And there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. ²² And the magicians of Egypt did so with their secret arts. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as Jehovah had said. ²³ And Pharaoh turned and went into his house; And he did not set his heart to this also. ²⁴ And all the Egyptians dug all around the river for water to drink, for they could not drink of the water of the river. ²⁵ And seven days were completed after Jehovah had stricken the river.

¹⁴ Jehovah shall fight for you, and you shall be silent.

²⁵ And He took off their chariot wheels, and made them go heavily, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel, for Jehovah fights for them against the Egyptians.

¹ Then the sons of Moses and Israel sang this song to Jehovah, and spoke, saying, I will sing to Jehovah, for He has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider He has thrown into the sea. ² Jehovah is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will glorify Him, my father's God, and I will exalt Him. ³ Jehovah is a Man of war; Jehovah is His name. ⁴ Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has thrown into the sea; his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. ⁵ The depths have covered them; they sank into the bottom like a stone. ⁶ Your right hand, O Jehovah, has become glorious in power. Your right hand, O Jehovah, has dashed the enemy in pieces. ⁷ And in the greatness of Your excellency You have overthrown them that rose up against You. You sent forth Your wrath, consuming them like stubble. ⁸ And with the blast of Your nostrils the waters were gathered together; the floods stood upright like a heap; the depths were curdled in the heart of the sea. ⁹ The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them, I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them. ¹⁰ You blew with Your wind; the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. ¹¹ Who is like You, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? ¹² You stretched out Your right hand, the earth swallowed them. ¹³ You in Your mercy have led forth the people which You have redeemed. You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation. ¹⁴ The people shall hear, being afraid. Sorrow shall take hold on the people of Philistia. ¹⁵ Then the princes of Edom were terrified. Trembling seized upon the mighty men of Moab. All the people of Canaan shall melt away. ¹⁶ Fear and dread shall fall upon them. By the greatness of Your arm they shall be still as a stone, until Your people pass over, O Jehovah; until the people whom You have purchased pass over. ¹⁷ You shall bring them and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, the place, O Jehovah, You have made for You to dwell in; the Sanctuary, O Jehovah, which Your hands have established. ¹⁸ Jehovah shall reign forever and ever. ¹⁹ For the horses of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and Jehovah brought again the waters of the sea upon them. But the sons of Israel went on dry land in the middle of the sea. ²⁰ And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand. And all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. ²¹ And Miriam answered them, Sing to Jehovah, for He has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider He has thrown into the sea. ²² And Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. ²³ And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, because it was bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. ²⁴ And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? ²⁵ And he cried to Jehovah. And Jehovah showed him a tree. And when he had cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a decree and a law for them, and there He tested them. ²⁶ And he said, If you will carefully listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, and will do that which is right in His sight, and will give ear to His commandments, and keep all His Laws, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians; for I am Jehovah who heals you. ²⁷ And they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water, and seventy palm trees. And they camped there by the waters.

²² You shall not fear them. For Jehovah your God shall fight for you.

¹ When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots, a people more than you, do not be afraid of them. For Jehovah your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. ² And it shall be, when you come near to the battle, the priest shall go up and speak to the people, ³ and shall say to them, Hear, O, Israel, today you go up to battle against your enemies. Do not let your hearts faint, do not fear, and do not tremble, neither be terrified before their faces. ⁴ For Jehovah your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

⁴² And Joshua took all these kings and their land at one time, because Jehovah, the God of Israel fought for Israel.

⁴⁵ And David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of Jehovah of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. ⁴⁶ Jehovah will deliver you into my hand today, and I will strike you and take your head from you and give the bodies of the army of the Philistines to the birds of the air today, and to the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

¹¹ And Asa cried to Jehovah his God and said, Jehovah, it is nothing with You to help, whether with many or with him who has no power. Help us, O Jehovah our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O Jehovah, You are our God. Do not let man prevail against You. ¹² And Jehovah struck the Cushites before Asa and before Judah. And the Cushites fled.

⁸ With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is Jehovah our God to help us and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

²⁰ In whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, gather there to us. Our God will fight for us.

¹¹ Jehovah of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

¹¹ And they forgot His works and His wonders which He had shown them. ¹² He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. ¹³ He divided the sea and caused them to pass through; and He made the waters to stand in a heap.

⁴³ how He had set His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the fields of Zoan. ⁴⁴ He turned their rivers into blood, and their floods, so that they could not drink. ⁴⁵ He sent different kinds of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them. ⁴⁶ He also gave their crops to the stripping locust, and their labor to the locust. ⁴⁷ He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with sleet. ⁴⁸ He gave up their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to bolts of fire. ⁴⁹ He sent on them the heat of His anger, wrath and fury and trouble, by sending evil angels. ⁵⁰ He made a way to His anger; He did not save their soul from death, but gave their life over to the plague, ⁵¹ and struck all the first-born in Egypt, the first of the strong in the tents of Ham;

²⁷ They showed His signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. ²⁸ He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they did not rebel against His Word. ²⁹ He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish. ³⁰ Their land swarmed with frogs in the rooms of their kings. ³¹ He spoke, and there came fly swarms and gnats in all their borders. ³² He gave them hail for rain and flaming fire in their land. ³³ He struck their vines also and their fig trees, and broke the trees of their borders. ³⁴ He spoke, and locusts came, and larvae without number; ³⁵ and they ate up all the plants in their land, and ate the fruit of their ground. ³⁶ He also struck all the first-born in their land, the chief of all their strength.

⁹ Suffer evil, O people, and be broken! And give ear, all from the far places of the earth. Gird yourselves and be broken. Gird yourselves and be broken! ¹⁰ Counsel a counsel, and it is frustrated. Speak a word, and it shall not stand; for God is with us.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.
