Leviticus 25:39-43

39 And if your brother who lives beside you has become poor, and is sold to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a bond-servant. 40 As a hired servant, as a temporary resident, he shall be with you, and shall serve you until the year of jubilee. 41 And he shall depart from you, he and his sons with him, and shall return to his own family. And he shall return to the possession of his fathers. 42 For they are My servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt. They shall not be sold as a slave. 43 You shall not rule over him with rigor, but shall fear your God.

Deuteronomy 15:12-15

12 If your brother, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you. 13 And when you send him out free from you, you shall not let him go away empty. 14 You shall richly bestow on him from your flock, and from your grain floor, and from your winepress; with what Jehovah your God has blessed you, you shall give to him. 15 And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah your God redeemed you. Therefore I command you this thing today.

Deuteronomy 24:14-15

14 You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, of your brothers, or of your strangers that are in your land within your gates. 15 At his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it. For he is poor and sets his heart on it; lest he cry against you to Jehovah, and it shall be sin to you.

Nehemiah 5:5-13

5 Yet now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our sons like their sons. And, lo, we bring our sons and our daughters into bondage, to be slaves, and some of our daughters are brought into bondage. And there is no power for our hand, for other men have our lands and vineyards. 6 And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words. 7 And my heart within myself ruled, and I rebuked the nobles and the rulers, and said to them, You exact interest, each one from his brother. And I held a great gathering against them. 8 And I said to them, According to our ability we have redeemed our brothers, the Jews who were sold to the nations. And will you even sell your brothers? Or shall they be sold to us? And they were silent and did not find an answer. 9 And I said, What you do is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations our enemies? 10 And also I, my brothers and my servants, might take from them silver and grain. Please let us leave this lending at interest. 11 Please even today give back to them their lands, their vineyards, their olive-yards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money and of the grain, the wine, and the oil, that you take from them. 12 And they said, We will restore, and will ask nothing from them. So we will do as you say. Then I called the priests and took an oath from them that they should do according to this promise. 13 Also I shook my lap and said, So let God shake out every man from his house, and from his labor, who does not keep this promise, even may he be shaken out this way and emptied. And all the congregation said, amen, and praised Jehovah. And the people did according to this promise.

Job 24:11-12

11 They press out oil between their walls; they tread their winepresses, and still suffer thirst. 12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded cries for help; yet God does not charge foolishness.

Job 31:13-15

13 If I despised the cause of my man servant or of my slave-girl, when they argued with me; 14 what then shall I do when God rises up? And when He calls me to account, what shall I answer Him? 15 Did not He who made me in the womb make him? And did not One shape us in the womb?

Ecclesiastes 5:8

8 If you see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, do not marvel at the matter. For He who is higher than the highest watches; and there are some higher than they.

Isaiah 58:3

3 They say, Why have we fasted, and You do not see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and You take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and crush all your laborers.

Isaiah 58:5-9

5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast and a day pleasing to Jehovah? 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed ones go free, and that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When will you see the naked and cover him; and you will not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 Then shall your light break out as the dawn, and your health shall spring out quickly; and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Jehovah shall gather you. 9 Then you shall call, and Jehovah shall answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, Here I am. If you take the yoke away from among you, the pointing of the finger, and speaking vanity;

Jeremiah 34:9-17

9 that each man should let his male slave, and each man his female slave, if a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, to go free, that none should enslave a Jew, his brother among them. 10 And all the rulers obeyed, and all the people who had entered into the covenant allowed them to go free, each man his male slave, and each man his female slave, so that not any should enslave among them any more; and they obeyed and let them go. 11 But afterward they turned and caused the slaves and slave women whom they had let go free, to return! And they subjected them for slaves and slave women. 12 So the Word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying, 13 So says Jehovah, the God of Israel: I cut a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, saying, 14 At the end of seven years each man should let go his brother, a Hebrew, and who has been sold to him. And when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you. But your fathers did not listen to me, nor bow down their ears. 15 And you had turned today, and had done right in My sight to call for liberty, each man to his neighbor. And you had cut a covenant before Me in the house which is called by My name. 16 But you turned and defiled My name, and each man caused his slave, and each man caused his slave woman, whom you had set free to do as they pleased, to return. And you brought them into service to be slaves and slave women to you. 17 So Jehovah says this: You have not listened to Me to proclaim liberty each man to his brother, and each man to his neighbor! Behold, I call for freedom for you, says Jehovah, to the sword, to the plague, and to the famine. And I will cause you to be a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

Malachi 3:5

5 And I will come near you to judgment. And I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those who extort from the hired laborer's wages, and turning away the widow, and the orphan, the alien, and not fearing Me, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Matthew 23:8-9

8 But you must not be called Rabbi, for One is your teacher, Christ, and you are all brothers. 9 And call no one your father on the earth, for One is your Father in Heaven.

Matthew 24:48-51

48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delays His coming, 49 and shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken, 50 the Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he does not look for Him, and in an hour which he does not know. 51 And He shall cut him apart and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Luke 16:1-13

1 And He also said to His disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a steward. And he was accused to him, that he had wasted his goods. 2 And he called him and said to him, What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you may no longer be steward. 3 And the steward said within himself, What shall I do? For my lord is taking the stewardship away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg. 4 I know what I will do, so that when I am put out of the stewardship they may receive me into their houses. 5 So he called every one of his lord's debtors and said; to the first, How much do you owe my lord? 6 And he said, A hundred baths of oil. And he said to him, Take your bill and sit down quickly and write fifty. 7 And he said to another, And how much do you owe? And he said, A hundred cors of wheat. And he said to him, Take your bill and write eighty. 8 And the unjust steward's lord commended him because he had done wisely. For the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. 9 And I say to you, Make friends by the mammon of unrighteousness for yourselves, so that when you fail, they may receive you into everlasting dwellings. 10 He who is faithful in the least is also faithful in much. And he who is unjust in the least is also unjust in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust the true riches to you? 12 And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who shall give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Luke 19:15

15 And when he had received his kingdom and had returned, then it happened that he commanded these servants to be called to him; the ones to whom he had given the silver; so that he might know what each had gained by trading.

Ephesians 6:8-20

8 (knowing that whatever good thing he does, he shall receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or a freeman). 9 And masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatening, knowing that your Master also is in Heaven. There is no respect of persons with Him. 10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. 16 Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. 19 And pray for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in bonds; so that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

James 2:13

13 For he who has shown no mercy shall have judgment without mercy, and mercy exults over judgment.

James 5:4

4 Behold, the hire of the laborers reaping your fields cry out, being kept back by you. And the cries of those who have reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts.

Revelation 17:14

14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them. For He is Lord of lords and King of kings. And those with Him are the called and elect and faithful ones.

Revelation 19:16

16 And He has on His garment, and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
