¹ And it happened when Saul had returned from following the Philistines, they told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of En-gedi.

¹⁹ And the men of Ziph came up to Saul, to Gibeah, saying, Does not David hide himself with us in strongholds in the forest, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of the wilderness?

²⁸ And Saul returned from pursuing David, and went against the Philistines. Therefore they called that place, The Rock of the Division. ²⁹ And David went up from there and stayed in strongholds at En-gedi.

⁵ Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be founded in righteousness.
