And two rows were all around on the one grating, to cover the capitals on the top with the pomegranates. The sea was set on top of them, and all their hinder parts were inward. ²⁶ And it was a handbreadth thick, and its brim was fashioned like the brim of a cup, with a bud of a lily. One basin contained forty baths. And Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people. ⁸ As to this house which is exalted, everyone who passes by it shall be amazed and shall hiss. And they shall say, Why has Jehovah done this to this land and to this house? ⁹ And they shall answer, Because they left Jehovah their God who brought out their fathers from the land of Egypt, and have taken hold on other gods and have worshiped them and served them. On account of this Jehovah has brought on them all this evil.

⁹ And Jehovah was angry with Solomon because his heart was turned from Jehovah, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice ¹⁰ and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; and he did not keep that which Jehovah commanded. ¹¹ And Jehovah said to Solomon, Since this is done by you, and since you have not kept My covenant and My statutes which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant. ¹² But I will not do it in your days, for David your father's sake, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. ¹³ Only, I will not tear away all the kingdom, but I will give one tribe to your son for David My servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.

I will now prepare for it. And David prepared abundantly before his death.

And he shall be My son, and I will be his Father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.

And he overlaid it inside with pure gold. ⁵ And he made the ceiling of the greater house with fir wood, which he overlaid with fine gold. And he set palm trees and chains on it. ⁶ And he covered the house with precious stones for beauty. And the gold was gold of Parvaim. ⁷ He also overlaid the house, the beams, the posts, and its walls, and its doors, with gold. And he engraved cherubs on the walls. ⁸ And he made the Most Holy Place. Its length was by the front, of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth, twenty cubits. And he overlaid it with fine gold, to six hundred talents. ⁹ And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. ⁷ And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah to its place, to the Holy of Holies in the house, into the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubs.

And the silver and the gold are a free-will offering to Jehovah, the God of your fathers. ²⁹ Watch and keep them until you weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and the chief of the fathers of Israel at Jerusalem in the rooms of the house of Jehovah. ³⁰ So the priests and the Levites took the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.

³³ And on the fourth day the silver and the gold and the vessels were weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest. And with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas, and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites.

¹² And now do not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth forever, so that you may be strong and eat the good of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your sons forever.

³⁸ And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes, and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms, into the treasure house. ³⁹ For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine, and the oil, to the rooms where the vessels of the sanctuary are, and the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. And we will not forsake the house of our God.

¹¹ If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in blessedness, and their years in pleasures. ¹² But if they do not obey, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

⁹ O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just. For the righteous God tries the minds and hearts.

¹² But, O Jehovah of Hosts, who tries the righteous and sees the reins and the heart, let me see Your vengeance on them. For I have committed my cause to You.

¹⁶ He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him. Was this not to know Me? says Jehovah.

⁷ And I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am Jehovah; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God. For they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

¹³ And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

³⁴ And they shall no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.

² Go to the house of the Rechabites and speak to them, and bring them into the house of Jehovah, into one of the rooms. And give them wine to drink.

¹ How the Lord has covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in His anger! He cast down the beauty of Israel from the heavens to the earth and remembered not His footstool in the day of His anger.

³ Coming the Word of Jehovah became known to Ezekiel, the son of Buzi, the priest in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar. And the hand of Jehovah was on him there.

¹⁵ And as I looked at the living creatures, behold, one wheel was on the earth by the living creatures, with its four faces. ¹⁶ The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was the color of beryl, and the four of them had one likeness. And their appearance and their workmanship was like a wheel in the middle of a wheel. ¹⁷ When they went, they went on their four sides; and they did not turn when they went. ¹⁸ And their rims: they were even high; they were even awesome. And their rims were full of eyes all around the four of them. ¹⁹ And in the going of the living creatures, the wheels went beside them; and in the lifting up of the living creatures from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. ²⁰ Wherever the spirit was to go, there they went; there the spirit was to go, and the wheels were lifted up along with them. For the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. ²¹ In their going, these went; and in their standing still, these stood still. And in their lifting up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up along with them. For the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. ²² And there was a likeness over the heads of the living creature; an expanse, like the color of awesome crystal stretched out over their heads from above. ²³ And under the expanse their wings were straight, the one toward the other. Each one had two wings covering on this side, and to each two covering on that side of their bodies. ²⁴ And I heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of great waters, like the voice of the Almighty, in their going was the sound of tumult, like the sound of an army. In their standing still, they let down their wings.

¹⁴ So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of Jehovah was strong on me.

²² And the hand of Jehovah was on me there. And He said to me, Arise, go out into the plain, and I will talk with you there.

² And He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, and fill your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubs, and scatter them on the city. And he went in before me. ³ And the cherubs were standing on the right side of the house when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court. ⁴ And the glory of Jehovah rose from the cherub, over the threshold of the house. And the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of Jehovah's glory. ⁵ And the sound of the cherubs' wings was heard over the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when He speaks. ⁶ And it happened when He had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubs; he went in then and stood beside the wheels. ⁷ And a cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubs to the fire between the cherubs, and he lifted it and put it into the hands of the one clothed with linen. And he took it and went out. ⁸ And the form of a man's hand was seen under the wings of the cherubs. ⁹ And I looked, and behold, the four wheels were beside the cherubs, one wheel was by one cherub, and another wheel by one cherub; and the wheels looked like the color of a stone of Tarshish. ¹⁰ And their appearance was as one, the four of them, as if the wheel were in the midst of the wheel. ¹¹ When they went, they went on their four sides. They did not turn as they went, for to the place where the head faces, after it they went. They did not turn as they went. ¹² And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes all around, even their wheels that the four of them had. ¹³ As for the wheels, it was cried to them in my hearing, Whirling wheel! ¹⁴ And four faces were to each one. The first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. ¹⁵ And the cherubs rose up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar. ¹⁶ And when the cherubs went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubs lifted their wings to soar from the earth, the wheels did not turn from beside them, even they. ¹⁷ When they stood still, these stood still, and when they rose up, these lifted up. For the spirit of the living creature was in them. ¹⁸ And the glory of Jehovah went from the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubs. ¹⁹ And the cherubs lifted up their wings and rose up from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels also were beside them. And he stood at the door of the eastern gate of Jehovah's house. And the glory of the God of Israel was over them from above. ²⁰ This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar, and I knew that they were cherubs. ²¹ Four, even four faces are to each; and four wings to each. And the form of a man's hands was under their wings. ²² And the form of their faces, they are the faces that I saw by the river Chebar, their appearances even theirs. They each went straight forward.

¹⁰ So says the Lord Jehovah: And it shall be in that day that things shall come into your heart, and you shall devise an evil plan.

⁸ He also measured the porch of the gate inside, one reed. ⁹ And he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its pillars, two cubits; also the porch of the gate from the house.

¹⁵ And on the face of the entrance gate to the face of the porch of the inner gate was fifty cubits;

⁴⁸ And he brought me to the porch of the house and measured each pillar of the porch, five cubits from here and five cubits from there. And the gate was three cubits wide from here and three cubits from there. ⁴⁹ The porch was twenty cubits long, and eleven cubits wide. And he brought me by the steps by which they went up to it. And columns were by the pillars, one from here and another from there.

⁶ And the side chambers were a side chamber over a side chamber, three stories, and thirty times. And they entered the wall of the house for the side chambers all around, that they might be fastened, for they were not fastened to the wall of the house. ⁷ And there was a widening, and a winding upwards and upwards to the side chambers. For the winding around of the house went upward and upward, all around the house. On account of this the width of the house went upward, and so from the lowest it went up to the highest by the middle story. ⁸ I also saw the height of the house all around. The foundations of the side rooms were a full reed, six large cubits by joining. ⁹ The width of the wall, which was for the side chamber to the outside, was five cubits, and what was left between the side chambers that were of the house. ¹⁰ And between the chambers was the width of twenty cubits, circling the house all around. ¹¹ And the door of the side chamber was toward the open space, one door northward and one door southward. And the width of the place of the open space was five cubits all around.

¹³ And he measured the house, a hundred cubits long. And the separate place, and the building, and its wall, were a hundred cubits long. ¹⁴ And the width of the front of the house and of the separate place eastward was a hundred cubits. ¹⁵ And he measured the length of the building to the front of the separate place which was behind it; and its gallery from here and from there, a hundred cubits, with the inner temple and the porches of the court, ¹⁶ the thresholds, and the latticed narrow windows, and the galleries all around, their three stories across from the threshold, with wood panelings all around, and from the ground up to the windows; and the windows were covered; ¹⁷ to that above the door, even to the inner house, and outside, and by all the wall around inside and outside, by measure.

¹⁰ You, son of man, declare to the house of Israel, the temple house, so that they may be ashamed of their iniquities. And let them measure its size. ¹¹ And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, the form of the house, and its arrangement, and its exits, and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its statutes, and all its forms, and all its laws, make known to them. And write them before their eyes, so that they may observe all its form, and all its statutes, and do them.

⁴⁴ And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other peoples, but it shall crush and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

¹ Hear the Word of Jehovah, sons of Israel. For Jehovah has a quarrel with the people of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

⁶ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your sons, even I.

² And he said to me, What do you see? And I said, I see, and behold, a lampstand, all of it gold, and a bowl on its top, and its seven lamps on it, and seven pipes to the seven lamps on its top; ³ and two olive trees beside it, one on the right of the bowl, and the other on the left of it.

¹¹ And I answered and said to him, What are these two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left? ¹² And I answered again and said to him, What are the two olive clusters beside the two golden pipes, emptying the golden oil from themselves? ¹³ And he answered me and said, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord. ¹⁴ And he said, These are the two sons of fresh oil who stand by Jehovah of the whole earth.

¹² And speak to him, saying, So speaks Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Behold the Man whose name is The BRANCH! And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of Jehovah. ¹³ Even He shall build the temple of Jehovah; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on His throne. And He shall be a priest on His throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

¹⁴ You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Nor do men light a lamp and put it under the grain-measure, but on a lampstand. And it gives light to all who are in the house. ¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.

⁷ Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. ⁸ For each one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened.

¹ And looking up, He saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him and said of him, Behold an Israelite indeed in whom is no guile!

²⁵ and did not need that anyone should testify of man. For He knew what was in man.

²⁴ God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

⁵⁵ Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I should say I do not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I know Him and I keep His Word.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

¹⁷ He said to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me? Peter was grieved because He said to him a third time, Do you love Me? And he said to Him, Lord, You know all things, You know that I love You. Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

²⁴ And they prayed and said, You, Lord, knower of all hearts, show which one You chose from these two,

⁴⁹ "Heaven is My throne and earth is My footstool. What house will you build Me, says the Lord, or what is the place of My rest?

³³ Therefore I immediately sent to you, and you have done well to come. Now therefore we are all here present before God to hear all things that are commanded you by God.

¹¹ And these were more noble than those of Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures daily to see if those things were so.

²³ For as I passed by and saw the things you worship, I also found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Not knowing then whom you worship, I make Him known to you.

³⁰ Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now He strictly commands all men everywhere to repent,

²⁸ And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right, ²⁹ being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers,

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

¹ Let every soul be subject to the higher authorities. For there is no authority but of God; the authorities that exist are ordained by God.

³⁴ Be righteously awake, and sin not; for some have ignorance of God. I speak this to your shame.

¹³ Watch! Stand fast in the faith! Be men! Be strong!

⁶ For it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine;" who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹² For if the eagerness is present, it is acceptable according to what one has, and not according to what one does not have.

⁷ Each one, as he purposes in his heart, let him give; not of grief, or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.

¹⁵ so that you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Among these you shine as lights in the world, ¹⁶ holding forth the Word of Life, so that I may rejoice with you in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain.

¹⁶ Hold on to yourself and to the doctrine; continue in them, for doing this you shall both save yourself and those who hear you.

¹ Put them in mind to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to every good work,

¹¹ For both He who sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of One, for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brothers, ¹² saying, "I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You."

³ For He was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who has built the house has more honor than the house.

⁶ But Christ was faithful as a Son over his own house; whose house we are, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

⁵ And in this place again, "They shall not enter into My rest."

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight, but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

¹⁴ For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

⁵ who serve the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was warned of God when he was about to make the tabernacle. For, He says "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown to you in the mountain."

² For the first tabernacle was prepared, in which was both the lampstand, and the table, and the setting out of the loaves, which is called Holies. ³ And after the second veil was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, ⁴ having a golden altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant overlaid all around with gold, in which was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant. ⁵ And over it were the cherubs of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat (about which we cannot now speak piece by piece.

³⁸ Now, "the Just shall live by faith. But if he draws back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him." ³⁹ But we are not of those withdrawing to destruction, but of those who believe to the preserving of the soul.

¹ Therefore since we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ² looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.

²⁸ Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear,

⁵ Let your way of life be without the love of money, and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, "Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you, never!"

⁸ Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, double-minded ones. ⁹ Be afflicted, and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness. ¹⁰ Be humbled before the Lord, and He will lift you up. ¹¹ Do not speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against his brother, and who judges his brother, speaks against the Law and judges the Law. But if you judge the Law, you are not a doer of the Law, but a judge.

² Feed the flock of God among you, taking the oversight, not by compulsion, but willingly; nor for base gain, but readily;

¹² And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. ¹³ And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands. And in the midst of the seven lampstands I saw One like the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and tied around the breast with a golden band.

²⁰ the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand and the seven golden lampstands. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

²³ And I will kill her children with death. And all the churches will know that I am He who searches the reins and hearts, and I will give to every one of you according to your works.
