² And he struck Moab. And the people of Moab became David's servants and brought gifts.

¹⁷ I shall see him, but not now. I shall behold him, but not near. There shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall strike the corners of Moab, and destroy all the sons of tumult.

²⁹ And they killed about ten thousand of the men of Moab at that time, all lusty, and all men of might. And there did not escape a man. ³⁰ So Moab was subdued under the hand of Israel that day. And the land had rest eighty years.

²⁷ But the sons of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him and brought him no present. But he was silent.

² And he struck Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground. Even with two lines he measured to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And the Moabites became David's servants, bringing gifts.

² And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bore spices, and very much gold, and precious stones. And she came to Solomon, and she told him all that was in her heart.

²⁵ And every man brought his presents, vessels of silver and vessels of gold, and clothing and armor, and spices, horses and mules, so much year by year.

⁴ And Mesha king of Moab was a sheepmaster, and paid to the king of Israel a hundred thousand lambs, and a hundred thousand rams with the wool. ⁵ And it happened when Ahab was dead, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

⁸ Moab is My washpot; over Edom I will cast out My shoe; over Philistia I cry in triumph.

²⁹ Because of Your temple in Jerusalem, kings shall bring a present to You. ³⁰ Rebuke the wild beasts of the reeds, the herd of bulls, with the calves of the peoples, trampling down with the pieces of silver. He scatters the people who delight in war.

⁸ He shall also have the rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. ⁹ Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before Him; and His enemies shall lick the dust. ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

¹⁴ But they shall fly on the shoulders of the Philistines to the west; they shall spoil the sons of the east together; they shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab; and the sons of Ammon shall obey them.

¹ Send the lamb to the ruler of the land from the rock of the desert to the mount of the daughter of Zion.
