¹³ And has delivered us from the power of darkness, and brought us to the kingdom of his beloved Son:

¹⁷ And behold, a voice from heaven, which said, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am pleased.

²⁹ Or, how can a man enter into a strong manÆs house and plunder his goods, except he first bind the strong man, and then he plunders his house? ³⁰ He who is not with me is against me; and he who does not gather with me, shall be dispersed.

⁵ And while he was speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud saying, This is my beloved Son, I am pleased with him; hear him.

³⁴ Then the King will say to those at his right, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom which has been prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

²⁴ Strive to enter in through the narrow door; for I say to you, that many will seek to enter in, and will not be able.

⁵³ I was with you every day in the temple, and you did not even point your hands at me; but this is your turn, and the power of darkness.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son, and has placed everything under his hand.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears my word, and believes him who has sent me, has everlasting life; and he does not come before the judgment, but he passes from death to life.

³¹ Now is the judgment of this world; now the leader of this world will be cast out. ³² And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw every man to me.

²⁴ O Father, I wish that those whom you have given me, may also be with me where I am; so that they may see my glory which you have given me; for you have loved me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, and receive forgiveness of sins, and a portion with the saints who are of the faith in me.

¹⁷ But thank God that you, who were once the servants of sin, now obey from the heart that form of doctrine which has been delivered to you. ¹⁸ Now, being made free from sin, you become the servants of righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak after the manner of men because of the weakness of your flesh: for as you have yielded your members to the servitude of uncleanness and iniquity, so now yield your members to the servitude of righteousness and holiness. ²⁰ For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from righteousness. ²¹ What kind of fruit did you have then, in the things of which you are now ashamed? for the end thereof is death. ²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, your fruits are holy, and the end thereof is life everlasting.

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

⁹ Do you not know that the wicked shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not misled: neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor the corrupt, nor men who lie down with males, ¹⁰ Nor extortioners, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor grafters, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some of these evils were to be found in some of you, but you have been cleansed, and have been sanctified, and made righteous in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ, and through the Spirit of our God.

²³ But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they who belong to Christ at his coming. ²⁴ Then will come the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule, and all authority, and power. ²⁵ For he must reign till he has put all enemies under his feet.

⁴ To those in this world whose minds have been blinded by God, because they did not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the likeness of God, should shine on them.

¹⁷ Wherefore come out from among them, and be separate, said the LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, ¹⁸ And will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, said the LORD Almighty.

⁶ To the praise of the glory of his grace that he has poured upon us by his beloved one.

³ In those very deeds in which we were also corrupted from the very beginning through the lusts of the flesh, fulfilling the wills of the flesh and of the mind: thereby we became completely the children of wrath, even as others. ⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, ⁵ Even when we were dead in our sins, has made us live together with Christ, by whose grace we are saved; ⁶ And he has raised us up with him, and seated us with him in heaven, through Jesus Christ. ⁷ In the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Jesus Christ. ⁸ For it is by grace that you are saved through faith; not of your doing: it is the gift of God: ⁹ Not of works, lest any man should boast. ¹⁰ For we are his creation, created through Jesus Christ ultimately for good works, which God has before ordained that we should live in them.

¹⁸ And whose understanding is dark, and who are alienated from the life of God, because they have no knowledge, and because of the blindness of their hearts;

⁸ For previously you were ignorant, but now you have been enlightened by our LORD, and should live therefore like children of light.

¹² For your conflict is not only with flesh and blood, but also with the angels, and with powers, with the rulers of this world of darkness, and with the evil spirits under the heavens.

¹² And we bore the testimony to you, so that you may live a life worthy of God, who has called you to his kingdom and glory.

³ For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, misled, and serving divers lusts and passions, living in malice and envy, hated, and also hating one another. ⁴ But after the goodness and kindness of God our Saviour was manifested, ⁵ Not so much by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; ⁶ Which he shed on us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour,

¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also likewise partook of the same; and by his death he has destroyed him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.

⁹ But you are a chosen people; ministers to the kingdom, a holy people, a congregation redeemed to proclaim the glories of him who has called you out of darkness to his marvelous light:

¹¹ For by so doing, an entrance shall be given freely to you into the everlasting kingdom of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ.

⁸ Again, a new commandment I do write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.

⁸ He who commits sin is of the devil; because the devil has been a sinner from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God appeared, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.
