⁴ Jehovah on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea.

¹¹ and I said, You shall come to here, but no further; and here your proud waves shall be set?

⁷ You still the roaring of the sea, the roar of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.

⁶ For who in the sky shall be ranked with Jehovah, who among the sons of the mighty is like Jehovah?

⁹ You rule the pride of the sea; when its waves rise high, You still them.

⁸ But You, O Jehovah, are exalted forever.

³ The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back; ⁴ the mountains skipped like rams; the little hills like lambs! ⁵ What ails you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?

²² Do you not fear Me, declares Jehovah? Will you not tremble before My face, that I have placed the sand as the boundary for the sea by a never ending decree, so that it cannot cross over it? And though they toss themselves, yet they cannot prevail; though its waves roar, yet they cannot cross over it.

³⁷ And a great windstorm occurred, and the waves beat into the boat so that it was filled already. ³⁸ And He was on the stern, sleeping on the headrest. And they awakened Him, and said to Him, Teacher, does it not matter to You that we are perishing? ³⁹ And being awakened, He rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Silence! Be still! And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
