¹ And the sons of Israel, even the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month; and the people remained in Kadesh. And Miriam died there, and was buried there.

⁴ And his sister took her stand from a distance, to know what would be done to him.

⁵⁹ And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. And she bore Aaron and Moses to Amram, and their sister Miriam.

¹⁴ For you rebelled against My mouth in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify Me at the waters before their eyes. they were the Waters of Strife in Kadesh, in the desert of Zin.

³⁶ And they pulled up from Ezion-geber and camped in the wilderness of Zin; it is Kadesh.

²² And you came near to me, every one of you, and said, let us send men before us, and they shall search out the land for us, and they shall bring us back word as to the way in which we shall go up, and the cities to which we shall come. ²³ And the thing was good in my eyes, and I took twelve men of you, one man for each tribe.

¹⁴ And the days in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we had crossed over the torrent Zered, were thirty eight years, until the end of all the generation, even the men of war were destroyed from the midst of the camp, as Jehovah swore to them.

⁵¹ because you transgressed toward Me among the sons of Israel at the Waters of Strife in Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you did not sanctify Me in the midst of the sons of Israel.

⁸ The voice of Jehovah shakes the wilderness; Jehovah shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

⁴ For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slaves; and I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam before you.
