⁵ Put no faith in a companion; put no trust in a friend; keep the door of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom; ⁶ for a son despises his father; a daughter rises up against her mother; the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his house.

³ And it shall be when any shall prophesy again, his father and his mother who gave him birth shall say to him then, You shall not live, for you speak lies in the name of Jehovah. And his father and his mother who gave him birth shall pierce him when he prophesies.

³⁴ Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. ³⁵ I came to dissever a man from his father, and a daughter from her mother, and a bride from her mother-in-law. ³⁶ "And a man's enemies shall be those of his own house." Mic. 7:6

¹² And a brother will deliver up a brother to death, and a father the child. And children will rise up on parents and will put them to death. ¹³ And you will be hated by all on account of My name. But the one enduring to the end, that one will be kept safe.

⁵¹ Do you think that I came to give peace in the earth? No, I say to you, but rather division. ⁵² For from now on five in one house will have been divided, three against two, and two against three. ⁵³ Father will be divided against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, "and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
