¹⁸ And He said, What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?

¹³ What can I testify for you? To what will I compare you, O daughter of Jerusalem? To what shall I equate you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your crushing is great like the sea! Who can heal you?

²⁴ He put before them another parable, saying: The kingdom of Heaven is compared to a man sowing good seed in his fields.

³¹ He put another parable before them, saying: The kingdom of Heaven is compared to a grain of mustard, which taking, a man sowed in his field; ³² which indeed is less than all the seeds, but when it is grown it is greater than the plants, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and roost in its branches.

²⁶ And He said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed on the earth,

³⁰ And He said, To what shall we compare the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we compare it? ³¹ It is like a grain of mustard, which, when it is sown on the earth, it is less than all the seeds of those on the earth. ³² And when it is sown, it comes up and becomes greater than all the plants, and produces great branches, so as to enable the birds of the heaven to roost under its shade. ³³ And with many such parables He spoke the Word to them, even as they were able to hear. ³⁴ But He did not speak to them without a parable. And He explained all things to His disciples privately.

³¹ And the Lord said, Then to what shall I compare the men of this generation? And to what are they like?

²⁰ And again He said, To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?

²¹ nor will they say, Lo, here! Or, Lo, there! For behold the kingdom of God is in your midst.
