² They will put you out of the synagogue, but an hour is coming that everyone killing you will think to bear a service before God.

⁵ who say, Keep to yourself! Do not come near me, for I am holier than you! These are a smoke in My nose, a fire burning all the day.

⁵ Hear the word of Jehovah, those who tremble at His word. Your brothers who hate you, who drive you out for My name's sake, have said, Jehovah is glorified. But He shall appear in your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

²⁸ And you should not fear the ones killing the body, but not being able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him being able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.

⁹ Then they will deliver you up to affliction, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.

²² Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they cut you off, and will reproach you, and will cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man;

²¹ Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me that an hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

²² His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess Him as Christ, he would be expelled from the synagogue.

³⁴ They answered and said to him, You were born wholly in sins, and do you teach us? And they threw him outside.

⁴² Still, however, even out of the rulers, many did believe into Him. But because of the Pharisees, they were not confessing, so that they not be put out of the synagogue.

³³ But those hearing were cut, and they took counsel to do away with them.

¹³ And they stood up false witnesses, who were saying, This man does not cease speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the Law; ¹⁴ for we have heard him saying that this Jesus the Nazarene will destroy this place and will change the customs which Moses delivered over to us.

⁵⁶ And he said, Behold, I see the heavens having been opened, and the Son of man standing at the right of God!

¹ But still breathing threats and murder toward the disciples of the Lord, coming to the high priest, ² Saul asked from him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues, so that if he found any being of the Way, both men and women, having bound them he might bring them to Jerusalem.

³ Indeed I am a man, a Jew having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been trained according to the exactness of the ancestral law, being a zealous one of God, even as you all are today. ⁴ I persecuted this Way as far as death, binding and delivering up both men and women to prisons,

¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they understand that I was imprisoning and beating the ones believing on You throughout the synagogues. ²⁰ And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was poured out, I myself also was standing by and consenting to his execution, and holding the garments of those killing him. ²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you to the nations afar off. ²² And they heard him until this word, and lifted up their voice, saying, Take such a one from the earth, for it is not fitting that he should live! ²³ And they shouting, and tearing the garments, and throwing dust into the air,

⁹ Indeed, I then thought to myself that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus the Nazarene. ¹⁰ Which I also did in Jerusalem, I also shut up many of the saints in prisons, receiving authority from the chief priests; and they being put to death, I cast a vote. ¹¹ And often punishing them through all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly furious against them, I even persecuted as far as the outside cities.

² For I testify to them that they have zeal to God, but not according to knowledge. ³ For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

¹³ defamed, we entreat. we have become as filth of the world, dirt wiped off by all until now.

¹³ For you heard my way of life when I was in Judaism, that with surpassing zeal I persecuted the church of God and ravaged it. ¹⁴ And I progressed in Judaism beyond many contemporaries in my race, being much more a zealot of the traditions of my ancestors.

⁶ according to zeal, persecuting the church; according to righteousness in Law, being blameless.

⁹ And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those having been slain for the word of God, and for the witness which they had.
