¹⁴ If then I washed your feet, the Lord and the Teacher, you also ought to wash the feet of one another.

²⁶ But it will not be so among you. But whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. ²⁷ And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your servant; ²⁸ Even as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

⁴³ But it shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. ⁴⁴ And whoever of you desires to become first, he shall be slave of all. ⁴⁵ For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

²⁶ But you be not so, but the greater among you, let him be as the lesser; and the one governing as the one serving. ²⁷ For who is greater, the one serving, or the one reclining? Is it not the one reclining? But I am in your midst as One serving.

³⁵ I showed you all things, that working in this way we ought to help those being weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

¹⁰ in brotherly love to one another, loving fervently, having gone before one another in honor;

¹⁶ minding the same thing toward one another, not minding high things, but yielding to the lowly. Do not become wise within yourselves.

¹ But we, the strong ones, ought to bear the weaknesses of those not strong, and not to please ourselves. ² For let each one of us please his neighbor for good, to building up. ³ For also Christ did not please Himself, but even as it has been written, "The curses of those cursing You fell on Me." LXX-Psa. 68:10; MT-Psa. 69:9

¹³ On account of this, if food offends my brother, I will not at all eat flesh forever, so that I do not offend my brother.

¹⁹ For being free of all, I enslaved myself to all, that I might gain the more. ²⁰ And I became as a Jew to the Jews, that I might gain Jews; to those under Law as under Law, that I might gain those under Law; ²¹ to those without Law as without Law (not being without law of God, but under the law of Christ), that I might gain those without Law. ²² I became to the weak as weak, that I might gain the weak. To all I have become all things, that in any and every way I might save some.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich by the poverty of that One.

¹ And I myself, Paul, call on you through the meekness and gentleness of Christ (I, who indeed to look upon am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you);

¹³ For, brothers, you were called to freedom. Only do not use the freedom for an opening to the flesh. But through love serve one another.

¹ Brothers, if a man is taken in some fault, you, the spiritual ones, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself, that you not also be tempted. ² Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.

² fulfill my joy, that you think the same, having the same love, one in soul, minding the one thing, ³ doing nothing according to party spirit or self-glory, but in humility, esteeming one another to surpass themselves; ⁴ each not looking at their own things, but each also at the things of others. ⁵ For let this mind be in you which also was in Christ Jesus, ⁶ who subsisting in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God, ⁷ but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, having become in the likeness of men ⁸ and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient until death, even the death of a cross.

⁸ though being a Son, He learned obedience from what He suffered ⁹ and being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all the ones obeying Him,

² looking to the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, "and sat down at the right" of the throne of God. Psa. 110:1

¹ Therefore, Christ having suffered for us in the flesh, also you arm yourselves with the same thought, that he suffering in the flesh has been made to rest from sin,

⁵ Likewise, younger ones be subject to older ones; and all being subject to one another. Put on humility, because God sets Himself "against proud ones, but He gives grace to humble ones." Prov. 3:34
