¹⁰ Counsel a counsel, and it is frustrated; speak a word, and it shall not rise; for God is with us.

¹ When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots, a people more than you, you shall not be afraid of them. For Jehovah your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

⁵ No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor will I forsake you.

³¹ And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Jehovah, I pray You, make the counsel of Ahithophel foolish.

⁴ And the thing was pleasing in Absalom's eyes, and in the eyes of all the elders of Israel.

²³ And Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not done. And he saddled the ass and rose up and went to his house, to his city. And he gave command to his household, then hanged himself, and died. And he was buried in the burying place of his father.

¹² And, behold, God is with us at our head, and His priests, and the trumpets, the signal to sound for battle against you. O sons of Israel, do not fight with Jehovah, the God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper.

⁷ And he placed the engraved image of the idol that he had made in the house of God, of which God had said to David, and to his son Solomon, In this house, and in Jerusalem that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever. ⁸ And I will not again remove the foot of Israel from off the ground that I appointed to your fathers; only, if they take heed to do all that I have commanded them toward all the law, and the statutes, and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.

¹ Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity? ² The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying,

¹⁰ Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He frustrates the plans of the peoples. ¹¹ Jehovah's counsel stands forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.

¹ To the chief musician. For the sons of Korah; A song. For the Virgins. God is our refuge and strength, very much found to be a help in distresses.

³ They take shrewd counsel against Your people; they plot against Your hidden ones. ⁴ They have said, Come, and we will cut them off from being a nation; and, The name of Israel will not be recalled again. ⁵ For they plotted to together with one heart; they have cut a covenant against You; ⁶ even the tents of Edom, and of the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites; ⁷ Gebal and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia and the inhabitants of Tyre. ⁸ Also Assyria has joined with them; they were an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah. ⁹ Do to them as to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin at the torrent Kishon. ¹⁰ At Endor they were destroyed; they became dung for the ground. ¹¹ Make their nobles as Oreb and Zeeb, and all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna; ¹² who said, Let us take possession of God's pastures for ourselves. ¹³ O my God, make them as whirling dust, as the stubble before the wind. ¹⁴ As the fire burns a forest, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire, ¹⁵ so pursue them with Your tempest, and frighten them with Your storm. ¹⁶ Fill their faces with shame and they will seek Your name, O Jehovah. ¹⁷ Let them be ashamed and terrified for ever; yea, let them be confounded and perish. ¹⁸ And let them know Your name is Jehovah, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

³⁰ There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel before Jehovah.

⁵ Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have plotted evil against you, saying, ⁶ Let us go up against Judah and make her to dread, and break her for ourselves, and set a king in her midst, the son of Tabeal. ⁷ So says the Lord Jehovah, It shall not rise, nor shall it happen.

¹⁴ So, The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold! The virgin will conceive and will bring forth a son; and she shall call His name Immanuel.

⁸ And he shall pass through Judah. He shall overflow and go over. He shall reach to the neck; and his wings will be stretching out, filling the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

¹⁰ Do not fear, for I am with you; do not gaze about, for I am your God; I will make you strong; yea, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.

³⁷ Who is this speaking, and it happens when the Lord does not command it?

⁹ What are you plotting against Jehovah? He will make an utter end; distress shall not rise up a second time. ¹⁰ For as thorns are woven together, and as their drunkards are drunken, they shall be devoured like fully dried straw. ¹¹ One who devises evil against Jehovah has come forth from you, one counseling worthlessness. ¹² So says Jehovah, Though secure, and so many, yet they will be cut off and will vanish. And though I have afflicted you, I will not afflict you any more.

²³ "Behold! The virgin will conceive in her womb and will bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel" (which translated is, God with us). Isa. 7:14

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the completion of the age. Amen.

³⁸ And now I say to you, draw away from these men and permit them; because if this counsel is of men, or this work, it will be destroyed. ³⁹ But if it is from God, you will not be able to destroy it, lest you be found even fighters against God.

¹³ for if you live according to flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

⁴ Little children, you are of God and have overcome them, because He in you is greater than he in the world.
