¹ This is the book of the generations of Adam: In the day that God created man. He made him in the likeness of God. ² He created them male and female, and blessed them, and called their name Adam in the day when they were created. ³ And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and called his name Seth. ⁴ And the days of Adam after he fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters. ⁵ And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years. And he died. ⁶ And Seth lived one hundred and five years, and fathered Enos. ⁷ And after he fathered Enos, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years. And he fathered sons and daughters. ³¹ And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy seven years. And he died. ³² And Noah was five hundred years old. And Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

²⁶ And God said, let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth. ²⁷ And God created the man in His own image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female.

⁴ These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day that Jehovah God was making earth and heavens.

⁹ These are the generations of Noah. Noah, a righteous man, had been perfected among his family. Noah walked with God.

¹ And these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the flood.

¹ Adam, Seth, Enos,

²⁹ Behold, this only I have found, that God has made man upright, but they have sought out many inventions.

¹ Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days do not come, or the years draw near when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them;

¹ The Book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham:

³⁶ the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech, ³⁷ the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan; ³⁸ son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

⁷ For truly a man ought not to have the head covered, being the image and glory of God. But woman is the glory of man;

¹⁸ But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit.

²⁴ and to put on the new man, which according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness.

¹⁰ and having put on the new, having been renewed in full knowledge according to the image of the One creating him,

³ who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high, Psa. 110:1

⁹ Furthermore, indeed we have had fathers of our flesh as correctors, and we respected them . Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits, and we shall live?

²⁷ And God created the man in His own image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female.

¹⁵ And Jehovah God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden, to work it and to keep it.

²³ And the man said, This now at last is bone from my bones, and flesh from my flesh. For this shall be called Woman, because this has been taken out of man.

¹⁵ And has He not made you one? Yet the vestige of the Spirit is in him. And what of the one? He was seeking a seed of God. Then guard your spirit, and do not deal treacherously with the wife of your youth.

⁴ But answering, He said to them, Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning "created them male and female"? Gen. 1:27

²⁶ And He made every nation of men of one blood, to live on all the face of the earth, ordaining fore-appointed seasons and boundaries of their dwelling,

²⁵ And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son. And she called his name, Seth, for God has appointed to me another seed in place of Abel because Cain killed him.

⁴ Who gives a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!

¹⁴ What is man that he should be clean? And he born of a woman, that he should be righteous? ¹⁵ Behold, He puts no trust in His holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in His eyes. ¹⁶ How much more is filthy man loathed, who drinks iniquity like water!

⁴ How then can man be justified with God? Or how can one who is horn of a woman be pure?

² Jehovah looked down from Heaven on the sons of mankind, to see if there were any discerning and seeking God: ³ they have all turned aside; together they have become filthy; there is none doing good; not even one!

⁵ Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.

³⁵ And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.

⁶ That receiving birth from the flesh is flesh, and that receiving birth from the Spirit is spirit.

¹² Because of this, even as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death passed to all men, inasmuch as all sinned.

³⁹ Not every flesh is the same flesh, but one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another of fish, and another of birds.

³ among whom we also all conducted ourselves in times past in the lusts of our flesh, doing the things willed of the flesh and of the understandings, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as the rest.

²⁸ And God blessed them; and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, and over birds of the heavens, and over all beasts creeping on the earth.

²² And Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he fathered Methuselah. And he fathered sons and daughters.

²⁶ And after he fathered Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty two years. And he fathered sons and daughters.

³⁰ And after he fathered Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety five years. And he fathered sons and daughters.

¹ And God blessed Noah and his sons. And He said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.

⁷ And you, be fruitful and multiply. Swarm over the earth and multiply in it.

¹² And Arpachshad lived thirty five years and fathered Salah.

¹ Adam, Seth, Enos, ² Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, ³ Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

³ Behold! Children are an inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is His reward.

¹² so that our sons may be like plants grown up in their youth; and our daughters like corner-stones hewn like a palace building;

¹⁹ By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until your return to the ground. For you have been taken out of it; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

⁸ And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years And he died.

²⁰ to love Jehovah your God, to listen to His voice, and to cleave to Him, for He is your life, and the length of your days live in the land which Jehovah has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give it to them.

¹⁴ For we do surely die and are as water which is spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up. And God does not take a life, but has devised plans so that the outcast is not cast out from Him.

²³ For I know that You will bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.

⁷ A man cannot at all redeem a brother, nor give to God a ransom for him, ⁸ for the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceases forever, ⁹ for he shall yet live forever; he shall never see corruption. ¹⁰ For he sees wise men die; together the fool and the animal-like ones perish and leave their riches to others.

⁴⁸ What man lives and never sees death? Shall he deliver his soul from the hand of Sheol? Selah.

¹⁰ The days of our years are seventy; and if any by strength live eighty years, yet their pride is labor and vanity; for it soon passes, and we fly away.

⁵ For the living know that they shall die; but the dead do not know anything; nor do they have any more a reward, for their memory is forgotten.

⁸ Let your garments be white at every time; and let your head lack no ointment.

⁵ also they shall be afraid of a high place, and terrors in the way; and the almond tree shall blossom, and the locust makes himself a burden; and desire breaks, because man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about in the street;

⁷ then the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.

⁴ Behold, they are all My souls. As the soul of the father, also the soul of the son, they are Mine. The soul that sins, it shall die.

¹² Because of this, even as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death passed to all men, inasmuch as all sinned. ¹³ For sin was in the world until Law, but sin is not charged where there is no law; ¹⁴ but death reigned from Adam until Moses, even on those who had not sinned in the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is a type of the coming One .

²¹ For since death is through man, also through a Man is a resurrection of the dead; ²² for as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

²⁷ And as it is reserved to men once to die, and after this Judgment;

²⁶ And a son was also born to Seth, and he called his name, Enos. Then it was begun to call on the name of Jehovah.

² Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared,

³⁷ the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan;

¹⁷ And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and he called the name of the city according to the name of his son, Enoch.

³ Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

¹⁴ And "the seventh from Adam," Enoch, also prophesied to these men, saying, Behold, "the Lord came with" myriads "of His saints," ¹⁵ "to do judgment against all, and to rebuke all" the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which :they ungodly" did, "and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him." I Enoch 1:9; 5:4; 60:8

²⁴ And Enoch walked with God; then he was not; for God took him.

¹ And when Abram was ninety nine years old, Jehovah appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God! Walk before me and be perfect;

⁴⁰ And he said to me, Jehovah, before whom I walk, will send His Angel with you and prosper your way. And you shall take a wife for my son from my family, from my father's house.

¹⁵ And he blessed Joseph and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me since I was born until today;

⁴ And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, I AM! Bread will rain from the heavens for you. And the people shall go out and gather the matter of a day in its day, so that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.

¹² and I shall walk always in your midst, and shall be God to you, and you, you shall be people to Me;

³³ You shall walk in all the ways which Jehovah your God has commanded you, so that you may live, and that good may be to you, and you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess.

⁴ You shall walk after Jehovah your God, and you shall fear Him. And you shall keep His commandments, and you shall hear His voice, and you shall serve Him, and you shall cleave to Him.

⁹ Jehovah shall establish you a holy people to Himself, as He has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commands of Jehovah your God and welcome His ways.

⁴ so that Jehovah may establish His word which He spoke to me, saying, If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul, saying, There shall not be a man to you cut off from the throne of Israel.

³ I pray to You, O Jehovah, please remember how I have walked always before your face in truth, and with a perfect heart, and I have done the good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping.

⁸ I have set Jehovah always before me; for He is at my right hand: I shall not be shaken.

¹¹ But I will walk in my integrity; redeem me and be gracious to me.

¹³ For You have delivered my soul from death. Do You not keep my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

¹¹ Teach me Your way, O Jehovah; I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.

⁹ I will walk before the face of Jehovah in the lands of the living.

¹ A Song of Ascents. Blessed is everyone who fears Jehovah, who walks in His ways.

⁴ Draw me; we will run after You. The King has brought me into His chambers. We will be glad and rejoice in You; we will remember Your loves more than wine; the upright love You.

⁹ Who is wise and discerns these things? Who is discerning and knows them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the righteous shall walk in them; but transgressors shall stumble in them.

³ Will two walk together unless they are agreed?

⁵ For all the peoples walk, each one in the name of his god; but we will walk in the name of Jehovah our God forever and ever.

⁸ O man, He has declared to you what is good. And what does Jehovah require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

⁶ The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips. In peace and in uprightness he walked with Me, and he turned many from iniquity.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.

³¹ Then, indeed, the churches throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria, had peace, having been built up and having gone on in the fear of the Lord. And they were increased in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

¹ There is therefore now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to flesh, but according to Spirit.

¹⁷ Only as God has divided to each, each as the Lord has called, so let him walk. So I command in the churches.

¹⁶ And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God, even as God said, "I will" dwell in them and "walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Lev. 26:12; Ezek. 37:27

¹⁵ Then watch how carefully you walk, not as unwise, but as wise ones,

¹⁰ for you to walk worthily of the Lord to all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work and growing into the full knowledge of God;

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward the ones outside, redeeming the time.

¹² testifying for you to walk worthily of God, He calling you to His kingdom and glory.

¹ For the rest, then brothers, we beg you and we exhort in the Lord Jesus, even as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more.

⁵ By faith "Enoch" was translated so as not to see death, and "was not found, because God translated him." For before his translation, he had obtained witness to have been pleasing to God. Gen. 5:24 ⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please God . For it is right that the one drawing near to God should believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder to the ones seeking Him out.

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.

³⁰ And he returned to his brothers and said, The child, he is not. And I, where shall I go?

³⁶ And their father Jacob said to them, You have bereaved me. Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and you will take Benjamin? All of these are against me.

¹ And it happened, when Jehovah was to take up Elijah to Heaven in a tempest, Elijah and Elisha went from Gilgal.

¹¹ And it happened, as they were going on and speaking, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire came . And they separated between them both, and Elijah went up in a tempest to Heaven.

¹⁵ So says Jehovah, A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing, bitter weeping: Rachel weeping for her sons; she refuses to be comforted for her sons for they are not.

¹⁸ "A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and bitter weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and would not be comforted, because they were not ." Jer. 31:15

⁴³ And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.

¹⁸ And Irad was born to Enoch; and Irad fathered Mehujael And Mehujael fathered Methusael; and Methusael fathered Lamech.

¹⁷ And He said to the man, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree about which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat from it, the ground shall be cursed because of you; you shall eat of it in sorrow all the days of your life. ¹⁸ And it shall bring forth thorns and thistles for you, and you shall eat the plant of the field. ¹⁹ By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until your return to the ground. For you have been taken out of it; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

¹¹ And now you are cursed more than the ground which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. ¹² When you till the ground, it will not again give its strength to you. You shall be a vagabond and a fugitive on the earth.

⁸ And Noah found grace in the eyes of Jehovah. ⁹ These are the generations of Noah. Noah, a righteous man, had been perfected among his family. Noah walked with God.

²³ And every living thing which was on the face of the earth was wiped away, from man to cattle, and to the creeping things, and the fowl of the heavens. And they were wiped off from the earth, and only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.

²⁴ And Noah awoke from his wine. And he came to know what his younger son had done to him.

⁹ For this is the waters of Noah to Me; for as I swore to refrain from passing over the waters of Noah over the earth again, so I have sworn from being and with you and rebuking you.

¹⁴ And though these three men were in its midst, Noah, Daniel, and Job, by their righteousness they should deliver only their souls, declares the Lord Jehovah.

²⁰ though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in its midst, as I live, declares the Lord Jehovah, they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they by their righteousness would deliver only their souls.

³⁷ But as the days of Noah, so also will be the coming of the Son of man.

³⁶ the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,

²⁶ And as it was in the days of Noah, so also it will be in the days of the Son of man. ²⁷ They were eating, drinking, marrying, giving in marriage, until the day Noah went into the ark. And the flood came and destroyed all.

⁷ Being warned by God about the things not yet having been seen, moved with fear, by faith Noah prepared an ark for the salvation of his house; through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness according to faith.

²⁰ to disobeying ones, when once the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, an ark having been prepared in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

⁵ and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah the eighth, a herald of righteousness, bringing a flood on a world of ungodly ones;

¹⁰ And Noah fathered three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

¹³ In this same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the ark;

¹⁸ And the sons of Noah that went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan. ¹⁹ These are the three sons of Noah, and the whole earth was overspread from them.

²² And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father. And he told his two brothers outside. ²³ And Shem and Japheth took a garment and put it on both their shoulders. And they went backward and covered the nakedness of their father, their faces backward. And they did not see the nakedness of their father. ²⁴ And Noah awoke from his wine. And he came to know what his younger son had done to him. ²⁵ And he said, Cursed be Canaan. He shall be a slave of slaves to his brothers. ²⁶ And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Shem; and may Canaan be his slave. ²⁷ God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall live in the tents of Shem, and Canaan shall be their slave.

²¹ And to Shem was born, even to him, the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder.

³² These were the families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, in their nations. And from these the nations were divided in the earth after the flood.

⁴ Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. ⁵ The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. ⁶ And the sons of Gomer were Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. ⁷ And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. ⁸ The sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan, ⁹ and the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. ¹⁰ And Cush fathered Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth. ¹¹ And Mizraim fathered Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, ¹² and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, from whom came the Philistines and the Caphthorim. ¹³ And Canaan fathered Zidon his first-born, and Heth, ¹⁴ the Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite, ¹⁵ and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, ¹⁶ and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. ¹⁷ The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech. ¹⁸ And Arphaxad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber. ¹⁹ And to Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan. ²⁰ And Joktan fathered Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazar-maveth, and Jerah, ²¹ and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, ²² and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba, ²³ and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan. ²⁴ Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah, ²⁵ Eber, Peleg, Reu, ²⁶ Serug, Nahor, Terah, ²⁷ Abram (he was Abraham). ²⁸ The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.
