²⁹ then the man lying with her shall give to the girl's father fifty pieces of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has humbled her. He may not put her away all his days.

¹ I made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look intently on a virgin?

⁹ If my heart has been enticed by a woman; or I have laid wait at my neighbor's door,

²⁰ He who walks with the wise shall be wise, but one associating with fools shall be broken.

¹⁰ In you he has uncovered the nakedness of the father; in you they humbled the defiled by her impurity. ¹¹ And a man has done abomination with his neighbor's wife, and a man has defiled his daughter-in-law in unchaste acts. And in you a man has humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

²⁸ But I say to you, Everyone looking at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
