⁶ and knowledge with self-control; and self-control with patience; and patience with godliness;

²⁴ And Enoch walked with God; then he was not; for God took him.

⁷ Rest in Jehovah and wait patiently for Him; inflame not yourself with him who prospers in his way, with the man practicing evil wiles.

¹ The righteous one perishes, and no one lays it to heart; yea, merciful men are gathered, with no one discerning that the righteous is gathered from the face of evil.

¹⁵ And those in the good ground, these are the ones who in a right and good heart, hearing the Word, they hold it and bear fruit in patience.

¹⁹ By your patience you will gain your souls.

²⁵ And Paul having reasoned concerning righteousness and self control, and the Judgment that is about to be, becoming afraid, Felix answered, For the present, go; but taking time later, I will call for you;

⁷ everlasting life truly to those who with patience in good work are seeking glory and honor and incorruptibility;

³ And not only so, but we glory also in afflictions, knowing that affliction works out patience, ⁴ and patience works out proven character; and proven character, hope.

²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, through patience we wait eagerly.

⁴ For whatever things were written before were written for our instruction, that through patience and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

²⁵ But everyone striving controls himself in all things. Then those truly that they may receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.

⁴ but in everything commending ourselves as God's servants, in much patience, in afflictions, in emergencies, in difficulties,

²³ meekness, self-control. Against such things there is not a law.

¹¹ being empowered with all power according to the might of His glory, to all patience and longsuffering with joy;

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love, and the patience of hope of our Lord Jesus Christ before our God and Father, ⁴ so as for us to boast ourselves in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions, and the afflictions which you endure,

⁵ And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

² for kings and all the ones being in high position, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet existence in all godliness and dignity.

¹⁰ but what becomes women professing fear of God, through good works.

¹⁶ And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

⁷ But refuse the profane and old-womanish tales. And exercise yourself to godliness. ⁸ For bodily exercise is profitable to a little, but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the present life and of that coming.

³ If anyone teaches differently, and does not consent to sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ and the doctrine according to godliness,

⁶ But godliness with contentment is great gain.

¹¹ But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.

⁵ having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it; even turn away from these.

¹ Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of the elect of God and full knowledge of the truth according to godliness,

⁸ but hospitable, a lover of good, discreet, just, holy, temperate,

² aged men to be temperate, sensible, discreet, sound in faith, in love, in patience;

¹² that you not become dull, but imitators of those who through faith and longsuffering are inheriting the promises.

¹⁵ And so, being long-suffering, he obtained the promise.

³⁶ For you have need of patience, that having done the will of God you may obtain the promise.

¹ So therefore we also, having so great cloud of witnesses lying around us, having laid aside every weight and the easily surrounding sin, through patience let us also run the race set before us,

³ knowing that the proving of your faith works patience. ⁴ But let patience have its perfective work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

⁷ Therefore, brothers, be long-suffering until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being long-suffering over it until it may receive the early and the latter rain. ⁸ You also be long-suffering. Set your hearts firmly, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near. ⁹ Do not murmur against one another, brothers, that you not be condemned. Behold, the Judge stands before the door. ¹⁰ My brothers, as an example of suffering ill, and of longsuffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.

³ As His divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and godliness through the full knowledge of the One calling us through glory and virtue,

¹¹ Then all these being about to be dissolved, what sort ought you to be in holy behavior and godliness,

⁹ I, even your brother John, and co-sharer in the affliction, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, came to be in the island being called Patmos because of the Word of God, and because of the witness of Jesus Christ.

² I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and that you cannot bear evil ones; and you tried those pretending to be apostles and are not, and found them to be liars.

¹⁰ If anyone gathers captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone will kill by a sword, by a sword he must be killed. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

¹² Here is the patience of the saints; here are the ones keeping the commands of God, and the faith of Jesus.
