¹ We announce to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld, and what our hands touched, as regards the Word of Life. ² And the Life was revealed, and we have seen, and we bear witness, and we announce to you the everlasting Life which was with the Father, and was revealed to us. ³ We announce to you what we have seen, and what we have heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. ⁴ And we write these things to you, that your joy may be full. ⁵ And this is the message which we have heard from Him, and we announce to you: God is light, and no darkness is in Him, none! ⁶ If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and we walk in darkness, we lie and are not practicing the truth. ⁷ But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. ⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

²² Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of His way, from then, before His works. ²³ I was set up from everlasting, from that which was before the earth. ²⁴ When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no springs heavy with water. ²⁵ Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth; ²⁶ before He had made the earth and the fields, or the highest part of the dust of the world. ²⁷ When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set a circle on the face of the deep, ²⁸ when He set the clouds above, when He made the strong fountains of the deep, ²⁹ when He gave to the sea its limit, that the waters should not beyond His command; when He decreed the foundations of the earth, ³⁰ then I was at His side, like a master workman; and I was His delights day by day, rejoicing before Him at every time; ³¹ rejoicing in the world, His earth; and my delight was with the sons of men.

⁴ Who has planned and done it, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I Jehovah am the first and the last; I am He.

² And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, being least among the thousands of Judah, out of you He shall come forth to Me to become Ruler in Israel; and His goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity.

² as those from the beginning delivered to us, becoming eye-witnesses and ministers of the word,

³⁹ See My hands and My feet, that I am He? Feel Me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see Me having.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was in the beginning with God. ³ All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. ⁴ In Him was life, and the life was the light of men; ⁵ and the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it. ⁶ There was a man sent from God; his name was John. ⁷ He came for a witness, that he might witness concerning the Light, that all might believe through Him. ⁸ He was not that Light, but that he might witness concerning the Light. ⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world. ¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, yet the world did not know Him. ¹¹ He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. ¹² But as many as received Him, to them He gave authority to become children of God, to the ones believing into His name, ¹³ who were born not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God. ¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth. ¹⁵ John witnesses concerning Him, and has cried out, saying, This One was He of whom I said, He coming after me has been before me, for He was preceding me. ¹⁶ And out of His fullness we all received, and grace on top of grace. ¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him .

²⁶ For even as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself.

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham came into being, I AM.

³⁵ And the one seeing has borne witness and his witness is true; and that one knows that he speaks truly, that you may believe.

²⁷ Then He said to Thomas, Bring your finger here and see My hands, and bring your hand and thrust into My side, and be not unbelieving, but believing.

³ to whom also He presented Himself living after His suffering, by many infallible proofs, being seen by them through forty days, and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God.

²⁰ For we are not able not to speak what we saw and heard.

¹⁶ For not following fables which had been cleverly devised, but having become eyewitnesses of the majesty of Jesus Christ, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord. ¹⁷ For receiving honor and glory from God the Father such a voice being borne to Him from the magnificent glory, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I was well pleased," Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Matt. 17:5 ¹⁸ even we heard this voice being borne out of Heaven, being with Him in the holy mountain,

² And the Life was revealed, and we have seen, and we bear witness, and we announce to you the everlasting Life which was with the Father, and was revealed to us. ³ We announce to you what we have seen, and what we have heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

¹³ Fathers, I write to you because you have known Him from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you overcome the evil one. I write to you, young ones, because you have known the Father. ¹⁴ Fathers, I have written to you because you have known Him from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

¹⁴ And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

⁷ For there are three bearing witness in Heaven: the Father the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, says the Lord, the One who is, and who was, and who is coming, the Almighty.

¹¹ saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last; also, What you see, write in a scroll, and send to the seven churches of Asia: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet, as dead. And He put His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not fear. I am the First and the Last, ¹⁸ and the Living One; and I became dead; and, behold, I am living forever and ever. Amen. And I have the keys to Hades, and of death.

⁸ And to the angel of the church of Smyrna, write: These things says the First and the Last, who became dead, and lived:

¹³ and having been clothed in a garment which had been dipped in blood. And His name is called The Word of God.

¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him .

¹³ And no one has gone up into Heaven, except He having come down out of Heaven, the Son of Man who is in Heaven.

²⁹ But I know Him, because I am from Him; and He sent Me.

³⁸ I speak what I have seen with My Father. And you therefore do what you have seen with your father.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life. The one believing into Me, though he die, he shall live. ²⁶ And everyone living and believing into Me shall not ever die forever. Do you believe this?

⁶ Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

²⁷ And you also witness, because from the beginning you are with Me.

²⁸ I came out from the Father and have come into the world; I leave the world again and go to the Father.

³ And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

⁵ And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the existence of the world.

¹⁴ This now is the three times that Jesus was revealed to His disciples, He being raised from the dead.

²² beginning from the baptism of John until the day when He was taken from us, one of these to become a witness of His resurrection with us.

³² This Jesus God raised up, of which we all are witnesses.

¹⁵ And the Author of Life you killed, whom God raised up from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

³² And we are His witnesses of these things, and also the Holy Spirit, whom God gave to those obeying Him.

⁴¹ not to all the people, but to witnesses, the ones having been before hand-picked by God, to us who ate and drank with Him after His rising again from the dead.

³ For the law being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,

²⁵ Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the proclaiming of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery having been kept unvoiced during eternal times, ²⁶ but now has been made plain, and by prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law,

¹⁶ And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

¹⁰ but now revealed through the appearance of our Savior, Jesus Christ, making death of no effect, bringing life and incorruptibility to light through the gospel,

² on hope of eternal life which the God who does not lie promised before the eternal times,

¹ I, a fellow elder, exhort the elders among you, I being also witness of the sufferings of Christ, and being sharer of the glory about to be revealed:

¹ We announce to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld, and what our hands touched, as regards the Word of Life.

⁵ And you know that He was revealed that He might take away our sins, and sin is not in Him.

⁸ The one practicing sin is of the Devil, because the Devil sins from the beginning. For this the Son of God was revealed, that He undo the works of the Devil.

¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given to us an understanding that we may know the true One, and we are in the true One, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and the life everlasting.

⁷ I will declare concerning the statute of Jehovah: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.

²² I will declare Your name to My brothers; I will praise You in the midst of the assembly.

¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape from them to the nations of Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, drawers of the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the far away coasts that have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the nations.

²⁰ In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. ²¹ He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is that one who loves Me; and the one that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and will reveal Myself to him. ²² Judas said to Him, not the Iscariot, Lord, what has happened that You are about to reveal Yourself to us and not at all to the world? ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word, and My Father shall love him. And We will come to him and will make a dwelling place with him.

¹¹ And no longer I am in the world, yet these are in the world; and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, those whom You gave to Me, that they may be one as We are .

²¹ that all may be one, as You are in Me, Father, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

²⁵ Righteous Father, indeed the world did not know You, but I knew You; and these have known that You sent Me.

⁴² And they were continuing steadfastly in the doctrine of the apostles, and in fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

³² And we preach the gospel to you, the promise made to the fathers,

⁴¹ "Behold, you despisers," "and marvel," "and perish, because I work a work in your days," a work which you would "in no way believe if anyone declares it to you." Hab. 1:5

²⁷ For I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God.

²⁷ For they thought it good, also being debtors of them; for if the nations shared in their spiritual things, they ought also to minister to them in the fleshly things.

⁹ God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

³⁰ But of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, both righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

¹ But, brothers, I reveal to you the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand,

¹⁴ {cf9 (13:13) : All the saints greet you.}line {cf9 : The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.}

⁶ for the nations to be joint-heirs, and a joint-body and joint-sharers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,

⁷ as it is righteous for me to think this of you all because you have me in your heart, both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you are all sharers of the grace with me.

¹ Then if there is any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tendernesses and compassions,

¹⁰ to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, having been conformed to His death,

¹³ who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

¹⁰ and to await His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, the One delivering us from the wrath to come.

² And those having believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brothers, but rather let them serve as slaves, because they are believing and beloved ones, those receiving of the good service in return. Teach and exhort these things.

¹² saying, I will announce Your name to My brothers; I will hymn to You in the midst of the assembly." Psa. 22:22

¹ For this reason, holy brothers, called to be partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

¹⁴ For we have become partakers of Christ, if truly we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end;

⁵ And this is the message which we have heard from Him, and we announce to you: God is light, and no darkness is in Him, none!

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.

²³ Everyone denying the Son does not have the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father. ²⁴ Then what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you will abide both in the Son and in the Father.

¹⁰ The one believing in the Son of God has the witness in himself. The one not believing God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has witnessed concerning His Son. ¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah. My soul shall be joyful in my God. For He clothed me with garments of salvation; He put on me the robe of righteousness, even as a bridegroom puts on his ornament, and as the bride is adorned with her jewels.

¹⁷ Though the fig tree shall not blossom, and fruit is not on the vines; the work of the olive fails, and the fields make no food; the flock is cut off from the fold, and no herd is in the stalls, ¹⁸ yet I will exult in Jehovah; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. Then this my joy has been fulfilled.

¹¹ I have spoken these things to you that My joy may abide in you, and your joy may be full.

²⁴ Until now you asked nothing in My name; ask, and you will receive, so that your joy may be full.

²⁴ Not that we rule over your faith, but we are fellow-workers of your joy. For by faith you stand.

¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.

²⁵ And being persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and will continue with you all for your advancement and joy of faith, ²⁶ so that your glorying may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

¹ My little children, I write these things to you so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

¹² Having many things to write to you, I do not intend to speak by means of paper and ink, but I am hoping to come to you, and to speak mouth to mouth, that our joy may be full.

¹ A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

⁹ For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

¹¹ For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; He will withhold nothing good from those who walk in integrity.

¹⁹ The sun shall not still be your light by day, or the brightness of the moon give you light; but Jehovah shall be for everlasting light to you, and your God for your beauty.

⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.

¹² Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The one following Me will in no way walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

⁵ While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.

³⁵ Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that darkness not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going. ³⁶ While you have the Light, believe into the Light, that you may become sons of Light. Jesus spoke these things, and going away He was hidden from them.

²³ For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;

¹⁶ the only One having immortality, living in light that cannot be approached, whom no one of men saw, nor can see; to whom be honor and everlasting might. Amen.

¹⁷ every act of good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning.

¹¹ Because this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,

²³ And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, even its lamp is the Lamb.

⁵ And night will not be there; and they have no need of a lamp or a light of the sun, because the Lord God will shed light on them. And they shall reign forever and ever.

⁴ For You are not a God enjoying wickedness; nor shall evil live with You. ⁵ The boasters shall not set themselves before Your eyes. You hate all workers of iniquity. ⁶ You shall destroy those speaking lies; Jehovah will despise the man of blood and deceit.

⁵ They neither know nor will understand; they walk in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

²⁰ Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You, devising mischief for a statute?

¹³ those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,

¹⁸ But the path of the just is as a bright light going on and shining till the day is established. ¹⁹ The way of the wicked is as darkness; they do not know at what they stumble.

²² Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power?

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness more than the Light, for their works were evil. ²⁰ For everyone practicing wickedness hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, that his works may not be exposed. ²¹ But the one doing the truth comes to the Light, that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God.

⁴⁴ You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar, and the father of it. ⁴⁵ And because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.

¹⁰ But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles because the light is not in him.

³⁵ Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that darkness not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going.

⁴⁶ I have come as a Light to the world, that everyone who believes into Me may not remain in the darkness.

¹⁴ Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership does righteousness have with lawlessness? And what fellowship does light have with darkness? ¹⁵ And what agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever? ¹⁶ And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God, even as God said, "I will" dwell in them and "walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Lev. 26:12; Ezek. 37:27

² in lying speakers in hypocrisy, being seared in their own conscience,

¹⁴ My brothers, what is the gain if anyone says he has faith, but he does not have works? Is faith able to save him?

¹⁶ and any one of you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, but does not give them the things the body needs, what gain is it ?

¹⁸ But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith out of my works.

³ We announce to you what we have seen, and what we have heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

⁴ The one saying, I have known Him, and not keeping His commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that one.

⁹ The one saying to be in the light, and hating his brother, is in the darkness until now. ¹⁰ The one loving his brother rests in the light, and no offense is in him. ¹¹ But the one hating his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness blinded his eyes.

²⁰ If anyone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother whom he has seen, how is he able to love God whom he has not seen?

¹⁷ Because you say, I am rich, and I am made rich, and I have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. ¹⁸ I advise you to buy from Me gold having been fired by fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, and your shame and nakedness may not be revealed. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

¹³ For You have delivered my soul from death. Do You not keep my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

¹⁵ Blessed is the people knowing the joyful sound; O Jehovah, they shall walk in the light of Your face.

¹¹ Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

² covering Yourself with light like a cloak, and stretching out the heavens like a curtain;

⁵ Oh house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of Jehovah.

³ Will two walk together unless they are agreed?

¹ In that day a fountain shall be opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity.

²⁹ On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world!

¹² The night is far gone, and the day has drawn near; then let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the weapons of the light.

¹¹ And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

⁷ in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

⁸ for you then were darkness, but now light in the Lord; walk as children of light.

¹⁴ by how much more the blood of Christ (who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God), will purify your conscience from dead works for the serving of the living God!

¹⁹ but with precious blood of Christ, as of an unblemished and unspotted lamb,

¹ My little children, I write these things to you so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. ² And He is the propitiation relating to our sins, and not relating to ours only, but also relating to all the world.

⁹ The one saying to be in the light, and hating his brother, is in the darkness until now. ¹⁰ The one loving his brother rests in the light, and no offense is in him.

⁶ This is the One coming through water and blood, Jesus Christ; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the One witnessing, because the Spirit is the truth.

⁸ And there are three who bear witness on the earth: The Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the three are to the one.

⁴ I rejoiced greatly because I found your children walking in truth, as we received command from the Father.

⁴ I have no greater joy than these things, that I hear my children are walking in truth. ⁵ even from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the First-born out of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him loving us and washing us from our sins by His blood,

¹⁴ And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are those coming out of the great tribulation; and they washed their robes and whitened them in the blood of the Lamb.

¹¹ And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony. And they did not love their soul even until death.

⁴⁶ When they sin against You (for there is not a man who does not sin) and You have been angry with them, and have given them up before an enemy, and they have been led away into captivity to the land of the enemy, far off or near;

³⁶ When they sin against You (for there is not a man who does not sin) and You shall be angry with them and shall give them up before an enemy, and their captors shall take them captive, to a land distant or near;

² Truly I know it is so; but how can man be just with God?

⁴ Who gives a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!

¹⁴ What is man that he should be clean? And he born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

⁴ How then can man be justified with God? Or how can one who is horn of a woman be pure?

² and do not enter into judgment with Your servant; for not anyone living is just in Your sight.

⁹ Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

²⁰ For there is not a just man on the earth who does good, and does not sin.

⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have each one turned to his own way; and Jehovah made meet in Him the iniquity of all of us.

⁶ But we are all as the unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as a menstruous cloth. And we all fade as a leaf, and like the wind our iniquities take us away.

²² Though you wash yourself with potash, and multiply soap for yourself, your iniquity is stained before Me, declares the Lord Jehovah. ²³ How can you say, I am not defiled; I have not gone after Baals? See your way in the valley; know what you have done! You are a swift camel crossing her ways;

²³ for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

¹⁸ Let no one deceive himself, if anyone thinks to be wise among you in this age, let him become foolish, that he may become wise.

³ For if anyone thinks to be something, he deceives himself, being nothing.

⁵ meddling, of men whose mind has been corrupted and deprived of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness. Withdraw from such persons .

¹³ But evil men and pretenders will go forward to worse, leading astray and being led astray.

²² But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

²⁶ If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, this one's religion is vain.

² For we all stumble in many ways . If any one does not stumble in word, this one is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body.

¹³ being about to receive the wages of unrighteousness, having deemed indulgence in the day to be pleasure; spots and blemishes reveling in their deceits, feasting along with you,

⁶ If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and we walk in darkness, we lie and are not practicing the truth.

⁵ And you know that He was revealed that He might take away our sins, and sin is not in Him. ⁶ Everyone remaining in Him does not sin. Everyone sinning has not seen Him, nor known Him.

² because of the truth remaining among us, and will be with us forever. ³ For I rejoiced greatly at the coming of the brothers, also bearing witness of you in the truth, as you walk in truth.

⁴⁰ And if they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass with which they have trespassed against Me; and, also, that they have walked contrary to Me, ⁴¹ I also will walk contrary to them, and I will bring them into the land of their enemies. If their uncircumcised hearts are then humbled, and they then have satisfied for their iniquity; ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob; and also My covenant with Isaac; and I shall also remember My covenant with Abraham, and I shall remember the land.

⁹ Because of this, know that Jehovah your God, He is God, the faithful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commands, to a thousand generations;

⁴⁷ and they have turned their heart back in the land where they have been taken captive, and have repented, and made supplication to You in the land of their captors, saying, We have sinned and done perversely; we have done wickedly;

³⁷ and they shall return to their heart in the land from which they have been taken captive, and shall turn back and make supplication to You in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have acted perversely and have done wickedly; ³⁸ yea, they shall turn back to You with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their captivity, where they have been taken captive, and they shall pray toward their land that You have given to their fathers, and toward the city that You have chosen and toward the house that I have built for Your name;

⁶ let Your ear now be open, and Your eyes open, so that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You today, day and night, for Your servants the sons of Israel; and confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both I and my father's house have sinned.

² And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all the sons of aliens, and they stood and confessed their sins and the sins of their fathers. ³ And they stood up in their place and read in the Book of the Law of Jehovah their God a fourth part of the day. And a fourth part they confessed and worshiped Jehovah their God. ⁴ Then Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani and Chenani, of the Levites stood on the stairs and cried with a loud voice to Jehovah their God. ⁵ Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah said, Stand up! Bless Jehovah your God forever and ever. And blessed be the Name of Your Glory, even He being exalted above all blessing and praise. ⁶ You alone are He, O Jehovah; You have made the heavens, and heavens of the heavens, and all their host; the earth and all which is on it; the seas, and all that is in them; and You shall preserve them all alive. And the host of the heavens bows down to You. ⁷ You are Jehovah the God who chose Abram, and brought him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and appointed his name Abraham. ⁸ And You found his heart faithful before You, and cut with him the covenant to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite, and the Girgashite, to give it to his seed. And You have performed Your words, for You are righteous. ⁹ And You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Sea of Reeds. ¹⁰ And You gave signs and wonders on Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of the land. For You knew that they were seething against them. And You made a name for Yourself, as it is this day. ¹¹ And You divided the Sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the Sea on the dry land. And their pursuers You threw into the deep, like a stone into the mighty waters. ¹² And You led them in the day by a cloudy pillar, and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way in which they should go. ¹³ And You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from the heavens, and gave them right judgments and true laws, good statutes and commandments. ¹⁴ And You made Your holy sabbath known to them, and You commanded commandments, statutes, and laws, to them by the hand of Your servant Moses. ¹⁵ And You gave them bread from the heavens for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst. And You said to them that they should go in to possess the land which You had raised Your hand to give them. ¹⁶ But they and our fathers seethed, and hardened their necks, and did not listen to Your commands. ¹⁷ And they refused to obey, and were not mindful of Your wonders which You did among them. But they hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a leader to return them to their bondage. But You are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and did not forsake them. ¹⁸ Yea, when they had made a casted calf for themselves, and said, This is your god who brought you up out of Egypt, and had worked great blasphemies, ¹⁹ Yet You in Your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud did not depart from them by day to lead them in the way, nor the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way in which they should go. ²⁰ You also gave Your good Spirit to teach them, and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst. ²¹ Yea, forty years You sustained them in the wilderness. They lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell. ²² And You gave them kingdoms and peoples, and divided them to corners. And they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan. ²³ You also multiplied their sons like the stars of the heavens and brought them into the land which You had promised to their fathers, that they should go in and possess it. ²⁴ And the sons went in and possessed the land, and You humbled the people of the land before them, the Canaanites. And You gave them into their hands, with their kings and the people of the land to do with them as they desired. ²⁵ And they took strong cities and a rich land, and occupied houses full of all goods, wells already dug, vineyards and oliveyards and fruit trees in abundance. And they ate, and were filled, and became fat, and lived luxuriously in Your great goodness. ²⁶ But they were disobedient, and rebelled against You, and cast Your law behind their backs. And they killed Your prophets who testified against them, to turn them to You. And they worked great blasphemies. ²⁷ And You gave them into the hand of their enemies, who distressed them. And in the time of their distress, they cried to You; and You heard from Heaven. And according to Your manifold mercies, You gave them deliverers, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies. ²⁸ But after a rest to them, they turned to doing evil before You. And You left them in the hand of their haters, and they ruled over them. But they came back and cried to You, and You heard them from Heaven, and You delivered them according to Your mercies. ²⁹ And You testified against them to bring them again to Your Law, but they seethed, and did not listen to Your commands, but were against Your judgments; they sinned in them, which if a man do, he shall live in them. And they gave a rebellious shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear. ³⁰ But many years You had patience with them, and testified against them by Your Spirit, by Your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. And You gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands. ³¹ But for Your great mercies, You did not consume nor forsake them; for You are a gracious and merciful God. ³² And now our God, the great, the mighty and the fearful God, keeping the covenant and the mercy, let it not seem little before You, all the trouble which has found us, to our kings, to our rulers, and to our priests, and to our prophets, and to our fathers, and to all Your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria to this day. ³³ And You are just as to all that came on us, for You have done right; but we have done evilly. ³⁴ And our kings, our rulers, our priests, and our fathers have not kept Your law, nor listened to Your commands and Your testimonies with which You testified against them. ³⁵ And they have not served You in their kingdom, and in Your great goodness which You gave to them, and in the large and rich land which You gave before them. And they did not turn from their evil works. ³⁶ Behold, we are slaves today, even the land that You gave to our fathers to eat its fruit and its good, behold, we are slaves in it. ³⁷ And it yields much increase to the kings whom You have set over us because of our sinning. And they rule over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure; and we are in great distress.

²⁷ He will observe to men and say, I have sinned, and I have perverted uprightness; and it was not equally repaid to me; ²⁸ He has redeemed my soul from passing over into the Pit, and my life shall see the light.

¹² Who can discern errors? Acquit me from secret faults,

⁵ I confessed my sin to You, and I have not hidden my iniquity; I said, I will confess over my transgression to Jehovah; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

² Wash me completely from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. ³ For I know my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. ⁴ Against You, You only, I have sinned, and done evil in Your eyes; that You might be justified in Your speaking and be clear when You judge. ⁵ Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.

¹³ He who covers his sins never prospers, but he who confesses and forsakes them shall have pity.

²¹ Declare and bring near; yea, let them consult together. Who has revealed this of old; who has told it from then? Is it not I, Jehovah? And there is no God other than Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none except Me.

⁸ And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity which they have sinned against Me; and I will pardon all their iniquities which they have sinned against Me, and which they have rebelled against Me.

²³ They are new by mornings; great is Your faithfulness.

²⁵ Then I will sprinkle clean waters on you, and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your defilement and from all your idols.

²³ And they will not still be defiled with their idols, even with their filthy idols, nor with all of their transgressions. But I will save them out of all their dwelling places where they have sinned in them, and I will cleanse them. So they shall be for a people to Me and I will be for God to them.

⁴ And I prayed to Jehovah my God. and made my confession, saying, O Lord, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy of those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments, ⁵ we have sinned and have committed iniquity and have done evilly, and we have rebelled, even by departing from Your commandments and from Your judgments. ⁶ And we have not listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our rulers, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. ⁷ O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us the shame of our faces, as it is this day to the men of Judah, and to the dwellers of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near and who are afar through all the lands where You have scattered them for their unfaithfulness which they have done against You. ⁸ O Lord, shame of face belongs to us, to our kings, to our rulers and to our fathers, because we have sinned against You. ⁹ To the Lord our God belong mercies and pardons, for we have rebelled against Him. ¹⁰ We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws which he set before us by His servants the prophets. ¹¹ Yea, all Israel has transgressed Your law and turned aside that they might not obey Your voice. For this reason the curse has poured out on us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him. ¹² And He has confirmed His words which He spoke against us, and against our judges who judge us, by bringing on us a great evil. For under the whole heavens it has not been done as it has been done to Jerusalem. ¹³ As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we did not make our prayer before Jehovah our God that we might turn from our perversities and understand Your truth. ¹⁴ And Jehovah has looked on the evil and has made it come on us. For Jehovah our God is righteous in all His works which He does. For we did not obey His voice. ¹⁵ And now, O Lord our God, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and made for Yourself a name, as it is this day; we have sinned; we have done evilly. ¹⁶ O Lord, I pray to You, according to all Your righteousness, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain. For because of our sins and of our fathers' iniquities, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach to all those around us. ¹⁷ And now, hear, O our God, the prayer of Your servant and his holy desires, and cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary that is desolate, for the sake of the Lord. ¹⁸ O my God, bow down Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our ruins and the city which is called by Your name. For we do not present our prayers before You on account of our righteousnesses, but because of Your great mercies. ¹⁹ O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God. For Your name is called on Your city and on Your people. ²⁰ And while I was speaking and praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and making my cry fall before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous and victorious, lowly, and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass.

⁶ and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

⁵ And all the Judean country and those of Jerusalem went out to him, and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.

¹⁸ And many of those who had believed came confessing, and declaring their deeds.

²⁶ for the showing forth of His righteousness in the present time, for His being just and justifying the one that is of the faith of Jesus.

²⁶ that He might sanctify it, cleansing it by the washing of the water in the Word,

¹⁵ Faithful is the Word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

¹⁴ who gave Himself on our behalf, "that He might redeem us from all iniquity" "and purify" "a people" "for His own possession," zealous of good works. Psa. 130:8; Eze. 37:23; Deut. 14:2

¹⁰ For God is not unjust, to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed to His name, ministering to the saints, and now are ministering.

²³ let us hold fast the confession of the hope without yielding, for He who has promised is faithful.

¹¹ Also by faith Sarah herself received power for conceiving seed even beyond the time of age, and gave birth; since she deemed the One having promised to be faithful.

³ And they sing the song of Moses the slave of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty, righteous and true are Your ways, King of the saints.

²⁵ And if not, then who will prove me a liar, and make my speech into nothing?

³ If You will keep iniquities, O Jehovah, O Lord, who shall stand?

¹⁶ Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and exhorting yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

¹⁴ Fathers, I have written to you because you have known Him from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

⁴ Little children, you are of God and have overcome them, because He in you is greater than he in the world.

¹⁰ The one believing in the Son of God has the witness in himself. The one not believing God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has witnessed concerning His Son.
