⁷ Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God.

⁶ And Jehovah your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love Jehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

³ And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

⁹ But now, knowing God, but rather being known by God, how do you turn again to the weak and poor elements to which you desire again to slave anew?

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,

⁹ Now as to brotherly love, you have no need for me to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another. ¹⁰ For you also do it toward the brothers in all Macedonia. But, brothers, we exhort you to abound more.

⁷ For God did not give a spirit of cowardice to us, but of power and of love, and of self-control.

²² Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unpretended brotherly love, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,

¹⁰ The one loving his brother rests in the light, and no offense is in him.

²⁹ If you know that He is righteous, know that everyone doing righteousness has been born of Him.

¹⁰ By this the children of God and the children of the Devil are revealed: Everyone not practicing righteousness is not of God; also the one not loving his brother. ¹¹ Because this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, ¹² not as Cain was of the evil one, and killed his brother. And for what did he kill him? The one not loving the brother remains in death. ¹⁵ Everyone hating the brother is a murderer, and you know that every murderer does not have everlasting life abiding in him. ¹⁶ By this we have known the love of God, because that One laid down His life for us; and on behalf of the brothers we ought to lay down our lives. ¹⁷ Whoever has the means of life of the world, and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God abide in him? ¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ And in this we shall know that we are of the truth, and shall persuade our hearts before Him, ²⁰ that if our heart accuses us, we know that God is greater than our heart and knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not accuse us, we have confidence with God. ²² And whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments, and we do the things pleasing before Him. ²³ And this is His commandment, that we should believe the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as He gave command to us.

⁸ The one who does not love has not known God, because God is love.

¹² No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love having been perfected is in us.

²⁰ If anyone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother whom he has seen, how is he able to love God whom he has not seen?
