² in the middle of its street, and _⌊on both sides of the river_⌋* is the tree of life, producing twelve fruits—yielding its fruit according to every month—and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

⁹ And Yahweh God caused to grow every tree that was pleasing to the sight and good for food. And the tree of life was in the midst of the garden, _⌊along with_⌋* the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

²² And Yahweh God said, "Look—the man has become as one of us, to know good and evil. _⌊What if_⌋* he stretches out his hand and takes also from the tree of life and eats, and lives forever?" ²³ And Yahweh God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken. ²⁴ So* he drove the man out, and placed cherubim east of the garden of Eden, and _⌊a flaming, turning sword_⌋* to guard the way to the tree of life.

³ He is the one who heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life for those who seize her; those who take hold of her are considered happy.

¹⁰ Make the heart of this people insensitive, and make its ears unresponsive, and shut its eyes so that it may not look with its eyes and listen with its ears and comprehend with its mind and turn back, and it may be healed for him."

¹⁸ I have seen his ways, but* I will heal him; and I will lead him and give him and his mourners comfort as a recompense, ¹⁹ creating fruit of lips. Peace, peace to the far and near," says Yahweh, "and I will heal him.

¹⁴ Heal me, O Yahweh, and I will be healed, save me, and I will be saved, for you are my praise.

¹ And he brought me back to the doorway of the temple and, look! There was water coming out from under the threshold of the temple eastward, because the face of the temple was eastwards; and the water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, from south of the altar.

⁸ And he said to me, "These waters are going out to the eastern region, and they go down to the _⌊Jordan Valley_⌋,* and they come to the sea* and flow into the sea where _⌊they issue out_⌋,* and the waters in the sea will be healed.* ⁹ And then every living creature with which it teems,* _⌊to every place the waters come_⌋* it will live; and very many fish will live because these waters came there, and so the water will be healed* and everything will be alive _⌊everywhere that_⌋* _⌊the stream will come_⌋.* ¹⁰ And then fishers* from En Gedi and on up to En Eglaim will stand beside it, a sea-girt drying yard for nets; their fish for the dragnets will be _⌊of every kind_⌋,* like the fish of the great sea,* and very many. ¹¹ But its marshes and its swamps will not be cured, for they were given for salt. ¹² And along the stream will go up on its banks _⌊from both sides_⌋* every tree _⌊producing food_⌋;* its leaf will not wither and it will not cease producing its fruit. _⌊Every month_⌋* it will bear early fruit, for its waters are going out from the sanctuary, and its fruit will be as food, and its leaf for healing."

⁴ I will heal their disloyalty;* I will love them freely because my anger has turned back from them.*

² But for you who revere* my name, the sun of righteousness will rise, with healing in its wings, and you will go out and leap like _⌊fattened calves_⌋.*

¹⁸ "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because of which he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send out in freedom those who are oppressed,

²⁴ who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we may die to sins and live to righteousness, by whose wounds you were healed.

⁷ The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will grant to him to eat from the tree of life which is in the paradise of God.'

²¹ And the twelve gates are twelve pearls, each one of the gates was from a single pearl. And the street of the city is pure gold, like transparent glass.

²⁴ And the nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.

¹ And he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming out from the throne of God and of the Lamb

¹⁴ Blessed are the ones who wash their robes, so that their authority will be over the tree of life and they may enter into the city through the gates.

¹⁹ And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share of the tree of life and from the holy city that are written in this book.
