Therefore, I did not allow you to touch her. ⁷ So now, return the wife of the man, for he is a prophet, so that he will pray for you and you will live. ¹⁰ And Abimelech said, "What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have slept with your wife! Then you would have brought guilt upon us!" ¹¹ Then Abimelech instructed all the people, saying, "The one who touches this man or his wife shall certainly die."

¹¹ And a man does a detestable thing with the wife of his neighbor, and a man defiles his daughter-in-law in wickedness, and a man sexually violates among* you his sister, the daughter of his father.

⁵ "Then I will approach you for judgment, and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers, and against those who swear _⌊falsely_⌋,* and against the oppressors of the hired worker with his wages, the widow and the orphan, and _⌊the abusers of_⌋* the alien,* and yet do not fear me," says Yahweh of hosts.
