¹ "The sin of Judah is written with an iron stylus, with a point of diamond it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of their altars.

¹⁷ and the priest shall dip his finger in* the blood and shall spatter it seven times before Yahweh in front of the curtain. ¹⁸ He must put* _⌊some of_⌋* the blood on the altar's horns before Yahweh _⌊in the tent of assembly_⌋,* and all the rest* of the blood he must pour out on the base of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the tent of assembly's entrance.

²⁵ The priest* shall take _⌊some of_⌋* the sin offering's blood with his finger, and he shall put it on the horns of the altar of the burnt offering, and he must pour out the rest of* its blood on the base of the altar of the burnt offering.

²³ "_⌊O that_⌋* my words could be written down! _⌊O that they could be inscribed in a scroll_⌋!* ²⁴ That with a pen of iron and with lead they might be engraved on a rock forever!

³ May loyal love* and truth not forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them upon your heart.

³ Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.

¹¹ If in Gilead there is evil, surely they will come to nothing. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls, also their altars will be like stone heaps on furrows of the field.

³ revealing that you are a letter of Christ, delivered by us, inscribed not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on stone tablets but on tablets of human hearts.
