1 Corinthians 15:1 Cross References - LEB

¹ Now I make known to you, brothers, the gospel which I proclaimed to you, which you have also received, in which you also stand,

¹⁶ And these are like* the ones sown on the rocky ground, who whenever they hear the word immediately receive it with joy. ¹⁷ And they have no root in themselves, but are temporary. Then when* affliction or persecution comes because of the word, immediately they fall away. ¹⁸ And others are the ones sown among the thorn plants—these are the ones who hear the word, ¹⁹ and the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and* choke the word and it becomes unproductive. ²⁰ And those are the ones sown on the good soil, who hear the word and receive it* and bear fruit—one thirty and one sixty and one a hundred times as much."*

⁴⁸ The one who rejects me and does not accept my words has one who judges him; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

⁴¹ So those who accepted his message were baptized, and on that day about three thousand souls were added.

¹ Now the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had accepted the word* of God.

⁴ And he argued in the synagogue every Sabbath, attempting to persuade* both Jews and Greeks. ⁵ Now when both Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul began to be occupied with* the message, solemnly testifying to the Jews that the Christ* was Jesus.

¹⁶ on the day when God judges the secret things of people, according to my gospel, through* Christ Jesus.

² through whom also we have obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

⁴ I give thanks to my God always concerning you, because of the grace of God which was given to you in Christ Jesus, ⁵ that* in everything you were made rich in him, in all speech and all knowledge, ⁶ just as the testimony about Christ has been confirmed in you, ⁷ so that you do not lack in any spiritual gift as you* eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁸ who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²³ but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a cause for stumbling, but to the Gentiles foolishness, ²⁴ but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

² For I decided not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. ³ And I came to you in weakness and in fear and with much trembling, ⁴ and my speech and my preaching were not with the persuasiveness* of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and power, ⁵ in order that your faith would not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. ⁶ Now we do speak wisdom among the mature, but wisdom not of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are perishing, ⁷ but we speak the hidden wisdom of God in a mystery, which God predestined before the ages for our glory,

⁶ I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing it to grow.

³ For I passed on to you _⌊as of first importance_⌋* what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, ⁴ and that he was buried, and that he was raised up on the third day according to the scriptures, ⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve, ⁶ then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, the majority of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep. ⁷ Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, ⁸ and last of all, as it were to one born at the wrong time, he appeared also to me. ⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. ¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been in vain, but I labored even more than all of them, and not I, but the grace of God with me. ¹¹ Therefore whether I or those, in this way we preached, and in this way you believed.

²⁴ Not that we lord it over your faith, but we are fellow workers for your joy, because by faith you stand firm.

⁶ I am astonished that you are turning away so quickly from the one who called you by the grace of Christ to a different gospel, ⁷ not that there is a different gospel, except there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we or an angel from heaven should proclaim a gospel to you contrary to what we proclaimed to you, let him be accursed! ⁹ As we said before, and now I say again, if anyone is proclaiming a gospel to you contrary to what you have received, let him be accursed! ¹⁰ For am I now making an appeal to people or to God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ. ¹¹ For I make known to you, brothers, the gospel that has been proclaimed by me, that it is not _⌊of human origin_⌋*. ¹² For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

⁶ And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, receiving the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit,

¹³ And because of this we also give thanks to God constantly, that when you* received God's word _⌊that you heard_⌋* from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it truly is, the word of God, which also is at work in you who believe.

¹ Finally therefore, brothers, we ask you and appeal to you in the Lord Jesus that, just as you have received from us how it is necessary for you to live and to please God, just as indeed you are living, that you progress even more.

⁶ But we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who lives irresponsibly and not according to the tradition that they received from us.

¹² Through Silvanus, the faithful brother (as I consider him), I have written to you _⌊briefly_⌋* to encourage you and to attest that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it.
