⁶ Then he called to Solomon his son and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.

¹⁸ Then Yahweh said to Moses, "Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and place your hand on him. ¹⁹ Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before the entire community, and _⌊commission him_⌋* _⌊in their sight_⌋.*

²³ And he placed his hands on him and _⌊commissioned him_⌋* just as Yahweh spoke by the hand of Moses.*

¹⁴ Then Yahweh said to Moses, "Look, _⌊you are about to die_⌋;* call Joshua and present yourselves in the tent of assembly,* so that I may instruct him." So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves in* the tent of assembly.*

²³ Then he* told Joshua the son of Nun, and said to him, "Be strong and be courageous, for you shall bring the _⌊Israelites_⌋* into the land that I swore to them, and I will be with you."

¹⁸ And Jesus approached and* spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ¹⁹ Therefore, go* and* make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the age."

² until the day he was taken up, after he* had given orders through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen,

²⁵ "And now behold, I know that all of you, among whom I went about proclaiming the kingdom, will see my face no more. ²⁶ Therefore I testify to you on this very day that I am guiltless of the blood of all of you,* ²⁷ for I did not shrink from proclaiming to you the whole purpose of God. ²⁸ Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock among which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God which he obtained through the blood of his own Son.* ²⁹ I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. ³⁰ And from among you yourselves men will arise, speaking _⌊perversions of the truth_⌋* in order to draw away the disciples after them. ³¹ Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning each one of you* with tears.

²¹ I testify solemnly before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing according to partiality.

¹³ I command you, in the sight of God who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, ¹⁴ that you observe the commandment without fault, irreproachable until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ which he will make known in his own time, the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of those who reign as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, ¹⁶ the one who alone possesses immortality, who lives in unapproachable light, whom no human being has seen nor is able to see, to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen. ¹⁷ Command those who are rich in this present age not to be proud and not to put their hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in God, who provides us all things richly for enjoyment,

¹ I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom,
