²⁹ Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brothers which dwelled in Judaea:

² For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

¹⁷ For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

² Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God has prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

¹¹ Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which you have. ¹² For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man has, and not according to that he has not.

¹⁶ But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. ¹⁷ For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.

⁶ But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully. ⁷ Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.

¹⁵ Where is then the blessedness you spoke of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.

¹³ For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

¹³ For I bear him record, that he has a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.

⁸ So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you were dear unto us.

¹⁴ But without your mind would I do nothing; that your benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

¹¹ If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God gives: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
