³ For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

⁴¹ And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity:

³³ Yet you are just in all that is brought upon us; for you have done right, but we have done wickedly:

²⁷ He looks upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;

¹⁵ My mouth shall show forth your righteousness and your salvation all the day; for I know not the limits thereof. ¹⁶ I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours only.

¹⁹ Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, who has done great things: O God, who is like unto you!

⁶ Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall grow old like a garment, and they that dwell in it shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

⁸ For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

¹ Thus says the LORD, Keep justice, and do righteousness: for my salvation is soon to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

¹² I will declare your righteousness, and your works; for they shall not profit you.

⁶ But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the earth. ⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name by which he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

²² It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

⁶ Neither have we hearkened unto your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. ⁷ O Lord, righteousness belongs unto you, but unto us shame of face, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries where you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you. ⁸ O Lord, to us belongs shame of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you. ⁹ To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

²⁴ Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

²⁹ But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

¹⁷ And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! ¹⁸ I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before you, ¹⁹ And am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of your hired servants. ²⁰ And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. ²¹ And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, and am no more worthy to be called your son.

¹⁵ And he said unto them, You are they who justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

⁹ And he spoke this parable unto certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: ¹⁰ Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax collector. ¹¹ The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. ¹² I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

⁹ Of sin, because they believe not on me; ¹⁰ Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you see me no more;

¹⁷ For in it is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

²² Even the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

²⁶ To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.

¹⁹ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

³⁰ What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. ³¹ But Israel, who followed after the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. ³² Why? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone;

²¹ For he has made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

³ For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. ⁴ Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; you are fallen from grace.

⁹ And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ:

¹⁷ Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: ¹⁸ I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white clothing, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness does not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
